  Welcome to the HP Forums.

  The reason why you get a large amount of ink on the paper is simply because this printer does NOT support the use of sticker paper.  If this is the type of printing you want to do on a regular basis, I would suggest maybe research in a Designjet printer model.

  (Pigmented) black ink is not compatible with the media of photography and color cartrdige (s) is used for printing on photo paper.  You have an installed color cartridge?  There ink?  What model is your printer?

  The HP ePrint app is available on the Apple Store. When you open the app and are looking for a document to print, you should see a few options to select the paper settings and other options before you click Print to print the document.

  Sometimes the only resizing is not the answer because the
  the original size is different from the print size.

  You may need to crop photos to the size you want
  print to ensure that no clipping will occur. Cropping
  to a different aspect ratio will lose some parts of the picture but
  at least you have control over it.

  I bought the Cricut Explorer and I am trying to use the function 'print then cut.  My HP printer will not load Cricut printable sticker paper.  I use matte brochure paper type and quality.  It starts to load, then crashes and gives me an error message of paper jam.  I'm surprised because this printer has been cited as the top 2 best for this Cricut machine!  It is fairly new and not widely used, so that the rollers should not be a problem either.

  The problem you are having with the 5530 desire, could be caused by 2 reasons:

  1. Incorrect paper settings
  2. Not taken media type supported by the printer

  Most likely, the problem can be solved by using the correct paper settings when printing. Try the following steps:

  • Click Start - printers & faxes - give a right click on the 5530 like and choose Printing Preferences.
  • Select the paper settings correct according to the type of paper you are using. Paper size and paper type should be mentioned properly.
  • Then try opening the page you are trying to print and even once, make sure that the correct paper settings are selected before printing.
  • You can visit http://hp.care/2c0qNsR and also http://hp.care/2c0qka8 for more detailed information in the selection of correct paper settings.

  If the step above does not resolve the problem, then it might be largely because the matte Brochure paper type you are using is not supported by the printer.
  Note: It may be possible that you use a Laser Matte paper, in this case, make sure that you use paper ink-jet itself.

  I just bought the 6520.

  So I tried printing a Photo from my PC to Photo paper. I don't know why but the Photo did not print the full paper.

  It didn't fill the 6 in extended. It is printed as 4 x 4?

  What should I do to configure it to fill an entire document?

  If you use Windows, then you can try the following.

  Open the photo in Windows Photo Viewer, and then select print to print your photos.

  CHANGE - Switched on the example for IBC Photo 4 X 6

  Example of setting is shown below.

  • Note that Fit to the image in the frame is NOT checked
  • If the default printer to the printer - check that he is not looking for Fax
  • The size of the image is selected on the right side, scroll top down Not applicable to the Photo tray
  • You can print a picture of a smaller size (anytime); Select 1 copy and then the size you want
  • Don't forget to select the paper size AND the Type of paper

  I used the USPS print on eBay Wizard to print a label for shipping on my printer.  If you are printing on plain paper, then use ribbons of packaging on the label, you are finished.  Also, they will pick up your packages at home, if you use a pre-printed label.  Stamps make nervous, however.

  The next time you sell something, there should be a link "print shipping label", you can click on.  You must measure the box and have a fairly accurate weight.  I use a scale, then round.  If you have a kitchen scale, which would work better, I think.

  According to me, who must take care of it!  I would like to know if you have any questions or encounter a problem.

• Photosmart 7510 - will not print black on any parameter of photo paper (does not print on plain paper setting)?

  HP Potosmart 7510, printing from a memory card.  Using premium photo paper (glossy), set printer to print on HP Premium Plus Photo), printing out with Black/Brown areas in the blue-green instead of black.  Printing using plain paper, set printer on regular paper, just fine.    Same thing happens when I tried Advanced Photo and a Photo paper - print comes out with a blue-greenish cast in areas that should be black/brown.

  Tried to print a black and white photo - identical to all other attempts - if the choice of the photo options paper, the dark areas are blue/green.

  Comment - then try printing from the computer (wireless), produced the same result - black areas are printed in blue-greenish.

  Tried cleaning the cartridges, alignment printer, print quality status report looks very good.

  Door on this forum and general web search.  Nothing has yet solved problem.

  What should I do?  Any ideas/suggestions?

  Yes, this is the case on a 7510.  I worked on the answer.  Although "ink" diagnostice demonstrates both the black and the cartridges 'photo black' as being low, the 'black photo' was apparently empty.  The black of the photo must be called only because when the print properties are defined for the "photo paper", and when it is empty the black dark areas print in blue-green.  I thought that the black photo cartridge was a gray, for most thin shades grey, but maybe it's an intensifier of some sort.  It's a shame that HP does publish no real information.

  I need to print the duplex of legal-size Publisher document.  I understand that my printer duplex setting doesn't support legal size paper... y at - there a way to change this, or a product that made HP or another printer that would be recommended?  I have to print several copies once a week if you need something automatic rather than printing on one side and then manually feeding to the next part.  Thank you.

  I'm sorry, but it will take maybe use the manual duplex option or go to another product tailored to your needs.

• Slow printing when printing on 6x8inch paper. With the help of my new printer HP Deskjet 1514.

  When I print on a page size 6 x 8 inch using black ink, the time taken to print the page is 1 Minute 40 seconds. It is indeed very slow!

  What are the parameters of type of paper? The speed to 6 x 8 paper resembles results would happen if printing on photo paper.

  If you are printing on plain paper make sure plain paper is selected in the driver.

I'm making t-shirts for my son's football team and have the iron on transfer for tissue paper. Instructions to print are to select 'image mirror or flip before printing' for letters is displayed correctly after ironed on the shirt. I can't find this option anywhere!   That's how I made my girls of volleyball shirt:

  1. use the printer to scan the image on your computer as a .jpg file

  2. open PowerPoint (PowerPoint comes with the suite microsoft office)

  3. Select Insert from the menu bar

  4. go to your image and then click on Insert

  5. the Image will appear in your PowerPoint file

  6. on the FORMAT tab, select the rotation Option

  7. in the menu drop-down select horizontal turning

  8 print this image on plain paper to be sure it is what you want before using the transparency paper

  I'm sure there are other firmware out there that can turn an image for you.  That's just what I have on my computer at home, and it worked pretty well for me.
