  Hello

  We will soon be moving on ESX3.5 45 virtual machines on the same network to ESX4.0 on another network.  What is the best/best way to move these files?  The original network, the files are stored locally on the server and run ESX3.5i.  However, on the other network, data warehouses are on a San and the ESX hosts are in a cluster.  Both networks are in the same physical location and can meet.  I guess I can do it from the CLI of in ESX?

  If you have two hosts in vCenter Server, you can move the virtual machines without Storage vMotion (Powered-off VMs).
  It is not necessary that both hosts have access to the San using cold migration.

  In case you are not aware, all the files that you put in iCloud drive are on your disk local and iCloud.

  You can go to preferences in the Finder menu and specify whether you want iCloud drive to display in the sidebar of the Finder. I find that having it in the sidebar makes it easy to use. I also have other folders I used frequently in the sidebar; You can add the system ones (Documents, downloads, etc.) using this same preferences window. You can add folders that you created them by dragging to the sidebar of a Finder window.

  A way to move files into folders that you created is to open 2 windows in the Finder and drag it from one window to the other. Another option, if you move a file in one of the folders that is displayed in the sidebar is just do it from its current location in the main area of the Finder to the folder window in the sidebar in this same window of Finder.

  A virtual machine is encapsulated in a set of files, making it easy to carry; You can copy the files from the virtual machine using WinSCP or any other program to the destination host. Register the vmx on the new host and turn on the virtual machine. You may also look @ of Veeam FastSCP for this purpose.   I developed my application locally with Apex 4.2 and Oracle 11 g XE on Windows 7. Not far away, it is time to move the application to a server Oracle Apex. I guess that Exim is the way to go app. But what about the APA tables and data (tables/as 'customer' and 'account' created specially for the application)? I've been using a modeling tool, so I can run a DDL script to create the database server data structures. What is the best way to move the application data on the server? Is it possible to move the structures and data in a single process?

  There is probably another way to get here, but in Developer SQL, on the navigation tree, expand objects until your table, right-click, and then click EXPORT... you will see all the options. It is a tedious process and it sucks IMO, but yes, it works. This is zero especially because 1) it's a table at a time, 2) If your data model is robust and has constraints and sequences and triggers, then you will need to disable all for the insert and we hope you can re-enable constraints, etc. without hitch (good luck, unless you have only a handful of tables)

  I prefer to use the oracle EXP command-line to export an entire schema, then the server target, I use IMP to import the schema. In this way, it is almost true. This makes the dirty life if you develop multiple applications in a single schema, and I felt pain - however - it is much easier to drop the tables and other objects is to create them! (thus, even if the process of EXP/IMP moved more than you wanted to "move".. blow everything you don't want on the target after the fact...)

  You can use method datapump oracle too.

  If not, what can be done, IF you have access to both servers of your instance of SQL developer (or if you can tnsping both already from the command line, you can use SQL * MORE), is to run a script that will identify the objects of your applications apex (usually by the prefix for the names of objects, such as % EBA_PROJ_ etc.) and do all the manual work for you. I've created a script that does just that so that I can pass data from dev to prod servers on a dblink. It is difficult because of the order that must be executed to disable constraints and then turn it back on and of course, more complicated if don't always precede you ALL your "objects demand '... (tables, views, triggers, sequences, functions, procs, indexes, etc.)

  There is no problem, I also think that it is the best way if you do not have a large environment - usually takes less time :-). Remove first the hosts of the other vcenter - this will make the vcenter agent to be uninstalled from the ESXs.

  Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but what is the best way to move around in a document zoomed in?

  The only method I have found so far is to slide with two fingers, which maintains the resizing of the document when it moves.

  No hand tool? No way to zoom to 100%? No way to fill the screen with the document?

  Panning is done with two fingers, that is you put two fingers on the screen, then move in the same direction.

  We have 3 physical database servers and you want to move to a data center.

  These servers are primary servers 2 with the infrastructure of grid and race of RDBMS oracle as stand-alone server + ASM and a standby with three instances server = an ASM + 2 instances of RDBMS for the primary servers corresponding instance.

  I moved a little smaller primary and waiting that my slip was something like this:

  1. on the primary database see the standby destination.

  2. on the current expectation cancel recovery and closing of the database.

  3. create directories of database on the new server.

  4. edit the tnsnames.ora on the primary current

  5. Add the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora on the new server.

  6. move the password files and spfile on the new server.

  7 Tnsping both servers

  8 use scp to move the database to the new server.

  9 start the recovery, and check gap

  Set feedback off

• Best way to move the photos to an external drive and subsequent backups? Without using the TM

  I filled out my current 1 GB drive external hard, so have bought another. This time around 4 GB...

  I don't want to see TM this time I just spend all my photos/videos from my Mac to the HD and much obviously, then continue to do that in the future.

  You can exclude files/folders in Time Machine preferences.

  However, I do not understand what you want to do in the future. If you only have photos in one place, you do not have a backup.

• WIP Interface - the best way to move jobs next year

  I currently supports a WIP application that creates the work of ONGOING work using the wip_job_schedule_interface table.  After the charge mass WIP job runs, the task is created in the first operation.  The user asked if we can automate move the work to the next step, the user would perform all subsequent shots.  I'm new to work-in-PROGRESS, so I'll try to read up on the best way to do it.

  So far, I only found the WIP_MOVE_TXN_INTERFACE as a possibility.  My thought would be that after the task is created, and then use this interface board to make the trip.  What is the best route, or can do something during the creation of intitial interface to achieve this?

  My first experience with the vMA was very painful.  I needed to transfer files to it but found that the only way to do it, use an ISO from CD image at first glance, /!  Come, I will not burn a CD just for the purpose of the simple file transfer!

  Then, I looked a little further and found that there is what we call vcli (or something like that) in a pdf file.  Well, I spent about 15 minutes on vivid, but I have not basic of it.  Another 30 minutes later I finally understand what he's saying and managed to the list of files in a data store.  But no matter what I do, he has refused to "copy"!  Still the error!  And in fact, it seems, it is not possible to copy multiple files using the '-c' option!  What is stupid vcli?

  Fortunately, I was able to find a FTP server which I could download files.  And Fortunately there is once again a client ftp in vMA.  So finally, I managed to transfer files to vMA thereby!

  I don't know about you, but the only and the best way is FTP, you provided either could find some FTP servers to which you have permission, write or you can set one up without spending too much time!

  I work in FM 11 and broke FM a few times. What is the best way to use the recovery files and save them as normal files? So should I filter a window of the Explorer to "recovery" so FM don't ask me if I want to use the older recovery files? Thanks for your help.

     Restart FM.

     Note: do not open the. first book.MIF and then try to open the component files, or open the files binary pre - MIF.

  FM11 and 12 can have a free add-on as much as the fact in a single operation.
