Problems with queues

Hello

I'm still very new with Labview, and I'm doing something that seems quite complicated for me.  I've already implemented a code that collects data from an acquisition of data and plots.  Another thing this does is backup data out of data acquisition.  I am now trying to add features to give the user the possibility to run a saved file or data acquisition, and I'm having a lot of trouble.  My queue still works when I want to execute an acquisition, but it does not work when I try to open the saved file.  I have attached the original code that I'm doing.

I am not attached to the method that I took to choose between learning and reading of data, so if there's a better way (and I am sure that it is) please let me know.

Thank you

Anthony

Thanks for the explanation of your data types.  I always recommend that you try to be consistent on your data types; If you never use a floating point values, then change your declarations of constants, and to eliminate the son orange.  Also, I still think that your problem is somewhere in the way you read your data.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that when you read data from the DAQ card it's an I32, but when you read it in your file, it's a U8 (implicitly converted an I32).  Then you divide that value by 256, which works very well for the I32 of data acquisition card, but produced only 0s for the U8 values read from the file (the maximum value of a U8 is 255, so divide produces a value less than 1, which is cut to 0 when you convert U8 before you subtract 32 and send it to the queue).

EDIT: also, be careful when using the functions of text file for binary data, even if you think it's all ASCII.  You have the opportunity to "Convert EOL" checked, which means that LabVIEW can modify, insert, or remove values that correspond to the ASCII code of a character to end of line.  Consider using binary functions.

I work days that are more the 7 hours because I can't queue of the SOUL and first has to manage export media attach to the top of my workstation. This fine all worked before the CC 2014 update. I'm on a MacPro end of 2008, 32 GB RAM, OS 10.9.4.

Very well. Never called Adobe. No time for that. After 3 hours of testing and troubleshooting, there is a solution. The issue is specifically the tail of CC sequences with nested sequences built in CC and try to queue from 2014 CC. It's probably a bug or compatibility issue. At anyrate, if anyone is reading this and has the same problem with queuing of SOUL CC 2014 with projects launched in previous versions of PrPro, the solution is to open a new project in 2014 CC, import the troubled project. Cut & paste the items from the troubled new sequences sequences open natively in the new project. It's a pain, but this is the solution I found. CC CC & 2014 have simply not that we would expect all completely transparent integration. DC

  • Printing problems with XP and Lexmark-documents are just stuck in the print queue

Original title: printing problems with XP and Lexmark

Until yesterday, I was able to print OK using Windows XP and a Lexmark Printer series 3500-4500 with wireless capabilities.  Reported network test wireless (on printer) and report indicates that there are no reported problem, also did the diagnostic test and which shows no problem either.  I can't print and documents are just stuck in the print queue - please can someone help, it drives me crazy because it's probably a very simple solution.

I guess you do not have all of the error messages.

It is possible that comes to mind that your printer has received a new IP address of your router (this could easily happen if you have several computers and other devices that connect to your wireless network).

Find the IP address of the printer of his network diagnostic page.
Click Start > printers and faxes, right-click the printer and select Properties
Select the Ports tab, then click on the button "Configure Port" (be careful NOT to click anywhere in the list of ports)
Make sure that the IP address in 'Port settings' is identical to that shown on the diagnosis of your network printer page.

To avoid this problem in the future, you must configure the printer to have a static IP address.  See your printer User Guide for instructions.

Choose an appropriate subnet address (i.e., has the first 3 groups of numbers the same as the other addresses in your network) but who is not in the range of addresses assigned by the DHCP server on your router.  See the User Guide of your router for more details.

  • Problems with signal followed during sampling of the signal

    Hello

I'm relatively new to LabVIEW 8.0 and I'm having a problem with being able to monitor the signals that I am gaining two simultaneous analog signals.  I have the user to input the frequency of sampling and the length of the sample, and then I starts the scan, but when running the analysis, I don't see no result on the chart if the duration of the sample is passed, at which point all data comes.  Previously, I could see the acquisition of real-time data and I don't know what I've done since then have possibly that stop working.  I tried to introduce a kind of late for may allow the software to apply the data to the graphics, but I had no success.

I have attached the VI of the data acquisition component.

Thank you so much for reading this.

    Hello

I suggest you try these two options:

    1. in each iteration of the while loop, add your data to the data of the previous iteration, IE use a shift register to create an Adrien to data that you have acquired. When you save the data in a file, read data from the table and not the current value of the waveform. You can read the data in the table by using a queue, or by using any simple method to pass data between the blocks.

When you use a local variable of the waveform card, you only read the current value in the array, not its history.

    2. use a property of waveform graphs node to read the history of the ranking, convert the picture from picture to picture 1 d 2D using cluster of waveform ungroup functions and write to the file, click on "Save".

  • Photosmart HP: Printing problems with my HP Photosmart

I had problems with my photosmart for awhile. For a while, when I would plug into the usb port of my computer, I had received the error "the disk you inserted is not readable by this computer. I used to ignore the error and used to print anyway.

Yesterday, someone pushes my printer without unplugging the usb by behind. Now, when I try to print something, I see in the queue of the printer, the error message saying "communication error: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer." "Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and look for errors in the printer and turn on the printer. I got it done and straightened my computer as well, but it does not work. After that, I opened the printer utility via my computer to print a test page, and it worked really, which is strange.

    Hi @stoukan,

I see that you are getting the error "communication error: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer." Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and search for printing errors and turn the printer. I would like to help you today. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "" accept as Solution"" down below this message. What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

Turn on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet. Make sure that the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. (not a station or a hub) Try a different USB port on the computer. Check that the USB cable is connected to the appropriate port on the back of the printer.

Check if the Mac sees the printer is connected.

Go to the Apple, select about this Mac, system report, select USB.
Do you see the printer listed?

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:
    Close all applications.
In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.
    Double-click disk utility.
Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.
Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.
    Click on Printers & Scanners.
Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the name and the correct password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

    Try to print again.

If you're still having problems, please try another USB cable.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

I experienced a problem with an application. I think I've isolated the problem in the "Timed loop question - Source Code.zip" attached source code. A detailed list of my results are in the attached document "Timed loop detailed question - Results.docx.

Overview - it seems to be closely related to the IO files and the use of "Timed loops" on the OR cRIO-9012

    1. If I activate the e/s in two loops, then two loops crash simultaneously

    2. If I activate only the e/s in a loop, then only this loop crashes

    3. If I activate the e/s in two loops and make a 'While' loop earrings, then it don't crash

    4. If it is wrote nothing in the file I/o, then it don't crash

    5. If the reference to the file is left open instead of opening and closing on each call, so it don't crash

    6. If I try to run it on "My Computer", then it don't crash

    7. If the IO is only activated in a loop and programmed to wait for one second between the file access, then it always crashes

In my real application, any given row is only writing (at least) once a minute, but I couldn't still my application to plant within a period of 24 hours by writing a single error of a single loop once per minute, with a low CPU use. It was the impulse to test the seventh point above.

It seems that the best solution was to open the reference to the file and let it open. I think it is a good practice in general and I'll do the update in the application. This should solve the problem, but it is very difficult to verify this due to the sporadic nature of the question. As such, I'd like to understand what was causing the problem so I can verify that it was fixed. So far, my attempts to create a single, coherent theory able to explain all aspects of this issue have failed.

I just wanted to know at all that there has been a request for corrective action (CAR #214156) has filed for this issue to be fixed in a future release. This seems to be a problem with the VxWorks operating system, we use in real time. We have additional cRIO chassis which have a Pharlap OS where it does not work. For now, you can search for this CAR ID notes to see if this problem has been resolved for publication in the future.

Currently, there are two solutions, we have identified for this problem:

    1. open the file before the loop and close it after. (recommended)
2 perform file i/o in a normal loop and transfer data to a queue.

  • problems of queue/waiting

    Guys,

I adapt a code LV to the next iteration of our PEAK program that sends data much more quickly.  So that the code LV to stand, I decided that I needed a producer/consumer structure so that the treatment of the data read from the serial port can be processed at their own pace (see attached code).  The 'read' lights up only when a notifier of a loop of "Write" told him to.

The question I have, is I want an entire line of text to be queued up to the '\n' and for this to be line out queued in the loop of the consumer.  It sounds simple, but the devil seems to be in the details.  At present, only partial lines seem to be in queue and removed.  I tried adding a property node indicating the VISA to read up to the '\n', but I don't know if this helped.  Also, I think that the loop of consumption is always subservient to the producer in terms of speed loop, it iterates.  Is it possible for a whole text in line waiting at a time line and the queue in the same way at their own pace?  The number of bytes in a line varies, so I can't use this method.

A few problems with your code.

    1. your VISA reads enum TermChar set to enter the number of bytes to read.  That makes no sense.  He's looking for a number not an enum.  This is why there is a point of constraint.  The value of TermChar is actually 2, then read you 2 bytes.  You have a knot of property There you say the number of bytes in the port, but you do not use.

    2. your boss while loop will never stop because you have a False constant that is connected to a Terminal loop.  The only way to stop this program is to give it up.

3 never let go. you the declarant 'GO', that you created in the upper loop and the central loop.

    4. Why do you have the word "Inopérable" on your stop buttons?  In addition, it is more desirable to have a single Stop button that stops the whole program, rather than having to hit several stop for each individual loop buttons.

    JK1,

Wouldn't be easier (since the stop character is activated and is the default value of \n) to just read a sufficiently large number of bytes, larger than any number of bytes that you would ever expect in a message. ?

A read VISA ends in one of 3 ways.

    1. when the required number of bytes have been read.

    2. the stop (if enabled) character is received.

    3. the time-out occurred before the get #1 or #2.

  • HP Officejet 6600: problem with the printer or ink system

I have a HP Officejet 6600. I replaced the black cartridge with a new HP black ink cartridge. This message keeps poping up, there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. It gives me as two solutions. Solution 1: Reset the product. Turn the product off, and then unplug the power cord. Plug in the power cord and then press the key to activate the product. I've done this three times. Second solution: contact HP support note the error code provided in the email (I looked and it does not give me one) then he says, supported to contact Hp. go to: www.hp.com/support. Needless to say that this message keeps appearing on the screen of the printer and I can't do anything with the printer. Can anyone help with an idea? Please, I beg you.

    Hey @popcorn101,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you get the error "printer failure: there is a problem with the printer or ink system' on the front panel of your HP Officejet 6600 e-all-in-one printer.". Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you received before reaching out for support, including. Right now, you have completed all the troubleshooting steps available in your efforts to solve this error in accordance with the document of support here. The failure itself is probably due to a failure of the print head. The print head is the part that the cartridges will fit. It controls the "reading" of the cartridges and put the ink on the page. If the print head does not, then the printing within your product system has failed. In this model of printer print head is a non-replaceable. Therefore, the resolution is a replacement of the entire unit.

I highly recommend at this stage that you contact our Technical Support telephone queue for discover hardware replacement options.

HP technical support are available by clicking on the following link:

  • Is problem with Windows Explorer (not Internet Expl.) - possible to reinstall this software or update?

I have several problems which, after some time, can be attributed to a problem with the Windows Explorer (not: Internet Explorer)

    Examples:

-files are not finished (so that they remain in a queue forever) (this happens every time)

-When I try to replace a file from one directory to another this process is at a standstill (occurring rarely)

-When I shut down, I get a message that trying explore but unable to play the fine tune (sometimes)

-in Word, I get printer messages not responded or other problems with opening files-Word (sometimes).

Remarkable (?): boot in normal mode is always successful, even after the crash on shutdown.

    Question:

-is it possible to reinstall this software or update?

    - or something is needed to get a solution?

    Hi Niels,

    1. When did you start to question?

2 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

You can check if the problem occurs in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

If you are not faced with the question in safe mode, then you can try to perform a clean boot and check if it helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

In addition, after you fix the problem, you can see step 7 above to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Method 2:

If you are faced with the question in safe mode, you can run a Checkdisk to see if there are drive errors that can cause this problem.

Check your hard drive for errors

Note: When you run the disk check, there are chances of losing data if you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.

  • problems with hp printer photosmart d110 - connectivity

More often than otherwise, I'm going to print to this printer from one of our laptops wireless and it won't print.

Whenever this happens, and I run a wireless test, the printer is still fine.

The printer appears in my devices window and seems to be fine.

Troubleshooting never translates into a response.

Usually, when this happens, the spooling print window that displays the status of print jobs says that the printer is offline.  I removed the checkmark next to "use printer offline" last time it was is past, and that it's worked.  I had tried before anything will do, but thought that perhaps it has been fixed once for all this time.  Especially since I saw in another post this fixed the problem of someone else.

Tonight, it doesn't print, says nothing about being offline, but just says: "error" in the status column.  No other information.

At the top of the list in the window where I can put as a default value, select this option for use in offline mode, etc., the word 'connect' appears.  It is not an option... the word is gray when all the other words are in black characters, and clicking it has no effect.

I can always choose the printer of course, he sees the laptop on the network and it seems normal until you try to print.

It doesn't seem to matter what laptop that I use, I'm having this problem with both.  I also had problems similar with this printer using any other wireless and portable.  So I don't think that it's the laptop, operating system, or anything with the network, just the printer itself.

Suggestions?  I wish that there is a quick fix.  I'm starting to think that it is defective.

    Hi SRS12,

Is model # D110 you printer a or b?  Here are some steps I take for a quick solution when a printer was working wireless and suddenly quit.

    1. Make sure that the print queue is empty.  If delete you it, or if it was already empty and you can not print, take the next step.
    2. Download and run HP Print and Scan for Windows doctor.  If there is no change, go to step 3.
    3. Reset your wireless network, as described in the following link.  Click here

    Let me know the results.

    Good luck!

    3. after the technicians HP did good job with crash, started to have pop-ups keep HP application that appeared as an add-on that works without permissions on my computer. This problem is compounded when I delete browsing history and try to refresh the internet Explorer. If I didn't have a short term in the Court of appeal in a week, I would say it's a question of OS, or program problem, but it's as if something falls down as soon as another issue is fixed and the unusual behavior of the computer, more timing and the purpose of the brief to me 90% sure that this is a pirate or a virus the surplus of the Samsung driver deleted pieces being left on my machine after uninstall.

    Dear Karena R,.

Thanks a lot for your excellent advice. The Techies MS OneCare fixed the popup of HP before I read your message. (I was remiss to check my email...). I'll follow the instructions you sent me and am running the OneCare security right now, online scanner that I already know an excellent and effective tool because it has repaired my MS operating system and programs after that I accidentally deleted parts of the operating system by removing a .dll file, I need or such a thing! I also wanted to thank you for the information about the object of the HP SDP pop-up window. I saved your instructions on how to remove this case, the pop up appears again. One thing I noticed is that, after removal, some keys on my keyboard don't work, and I've read that other HP users encounter the same problem with the keys on the keyboard. The keys that seem to be affected are the keys that automatically open and close the door of the CD burner. Not a problem, because it is another way to open and close the drawer. It's one that HP must improve. In regards to your advice on the printer driver you have been 'right on' new! I reinstalled the driver using my own CD (not the latest driver, but one that works!) I think that the problem with the update of the Samsung driver that I downloaded from the Web site doesn't have some kind of problem. It is very unusual for a driver to Samsung, because I got excellent results with printers Samsung and free updates downloaded from their Web site. The first Samsung printer I had worked so well, for so long as the small rubber roller that takes the paper and it feeds through the printer wore out until the printer is, literally in a 100,000 pages printed after that I bought for about $80.00 dollars! So, I went out and bought another one, and that's what I use now. The printer works fine now, except for some reason, the icon in my taskbar notification area, allow to check the printer the status of jobs, cancel or repeat printing as before. Once. from time to time, a job stuck in the queue for the printer and will not erase unless I unplug the printer from the central unit. Nor will it print. But since I reinstalled the driver, this has happened only once. With the downloaded update, it happened all the time. It is possible that my OS is misconfigured, but I started to run the routine tune ups and analyses using OneCare and unless I used to defragment. I learned that the defragmentation of the hard disk too can cause problems also. The last thing is, I think that sometimes, tiny files needed to run my OS and files other programs can be sent to my temporary folder by accident. MS still once, All_Knowing computer, somehow recognizes the files I need and pushes me to ignore them, but perhaps it does not work for non-Microsoft like Adobe programs. I will use the link in your message to run the fix with the printer driver just to see if it works. If it is not the case, I can always reinstall the driver with my CD that came with the printer. Thanks for the excellent and informative tips and forgive me if I do not respond sooner!

    Sincerely,

  • Problems with PerfMon - cannot add counters

Hello everyone.  I registered just to ask this question, which I couldn't find after a long time consult Google.  I come to you in the hope that when Google has failed, you will not!

I use a program that some of you may be familiar, called Samurize (http://www.samurize.com/modules/news/), who does a lot of things; what I use for most allowed, in a blink of an eye, discern my CPU usage, RAM usage, information network, availability, hard disk space and my schedule on the calendar, among other things.  I know it is an old program and I know that it was designed for Windows 2000/XP, but it worked without a hitch (not including this one) on Vista and Windows 7.

Recently, however, the ability to monitor CPU, RAM, upload and speed of download and availability has disappeared; all of them give me a flatline, statement I use no internet at all or my computer also (with the exception of availability, which reports that I have been on my computer for 49 days, 17 hours, 2 minutes and 47 seconds... he refuses to go to the top!).  Initially I thought it was a problem with the program.  It is not; It has something to do with Perfmon.  When I load perfmon.exe through the box run, it loads up with an error that says:

    "Cannot add these counters:

This isn't me accidentally say the same thing twice... it says what I typed on verbatim. [Edit:] Just remembered: other system monitors are perfectly fine.  Of course the Task Manager works well, but gadgets seem to work fine in my use of RAM and CPU, as well as my download balance sheet and download speeds. It's pretty much the sum of my progress on the problem.  I found this page (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/300956), which seems like it might solve the problem... but being a lazy man boned, I hope that there is a simpler solution than that, those who are not "reformat".

    Any other relevant information:

    Windows 7 x 64 professional
    Updated with all official updates
Recently spent Wi - Fi cable (apart from that, I can't thing of any change that I did with my computer)

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello SensaiOpti,

I had the same problem. A level that your pointers to the perfmon counters are damaged, you must re-create these with LODCTR from an elevated command prompt:

Click Start, type cmd click right cmd.exeand select run as administrator.
At the prompt, type lodctr /r and press ENTER. This allows to repair the pointers (those that are stored in the registry).

    C:\Windows\System32>lodctr/r

Info: Rebuilt successfully setting from system backup store performance counter

After this action, it is possible that some providers are disabled. You can check the status with lodctr/q.

    C:\Windows\System32>lodctr/q
    Performance counter ID queries [PERFLIB]:
    Based index: 0 x 00000737 (1847)
    Last counter text ID: 0 x 00001560 (5472)
    Last help text ID: 0 x 00001561 (5473)

[.NET CLR data] Performance counters (activated)
    DLL name: netfxperf.dll
    Open the procedure: OpenPerformanceData
    Collect the procedure: CollectPerformanceData
    Close the procedure: ClosePerformanceData
    First counter ID: 0 x 00001080 (4224)
    Last counter ID: 0x0000108C (4236)
    First help ID: 0 x 00001081 (4225)
    Last help ID: 0x0000108D (4237)

    etc.

If she says (disabled) next to a provider, you can activate it with lodctr/e:. Use for the string between the [] at the beginning of the entry.
