best way to transcode red footage of res pro

Hello

What is the best way to convert or transcode footage 'Red' or file for files res pro to make them manageable to work with premier pro?

If you are transcoding to proxies, you can try using adobe media encoder. If you do not plan to restore the links to the originals, you can apply a simple primary correction for clips in the transcoding process. You can do this in any color classification program as davinci, speedgrade, or help clean Red's redcine-x. REDCINE-X PRO: export

  • Best "workflow" for Sony A7sii and GH4 - Res Pro or DNxHD?

    Hi all

    I'm filming a documentary of 90 minutes on a Sony A7sii like Cam 1 and a Panasonic GH4 camera 2. 23.97fps to 3840 x 2160. We need to have 4 k options for future use. We will very likely use a certain amount of purchased both action sequences. I am currently working on what happens to be the best workflow with final export to the spirit. I need to export the final movie in Res Pro Apple or DNxHD - and I'm trying to figure who is going to be the best from start to finish.

    I'll be transcoding footage in function in order to make the workflow on the timeline as fluid and less tax on the processor as possible but also ensure final best made possible. I found that editing in the formats of native files (4 k) of each camera - even when the parameter/scaling to the size of the image - is very heavy on the processor and he staggers scouring or reading. So should I choose HQ or DNxHD pro.

    Also - on this basis, should what sequence settings I use? Creating a sequence of the clip with a Res Pro first clip gives me preset film Arri. Seems the timeline without effort on playback and scrub.

    Thanks in advance!

    ProRes 'was' standard in the Apple world, so became very common. DNxHD/R/HQ options are really become as well or better for most uses, it is just newer. On my PC, DNxHD cut almost as quickly as Cineform and a little faster than ProRes. They are sorta close... and is the guarantee of a your mileage MAY vary!

    So do a few quick tests. A few hours transcoding in two or three choices, then to the same projects, applying the same effects (while taking note of reading), then export on and schedule exports will give you an answer for you.

  • What is the best way of transcoding AVCHD high-quality archive?

    I have a bunch of images of different events on a SD card and want to ingest them in different folders by event. What format and preset should I use to ingest these AVCHD files? I use a PC and to maintain the best possible quality for long term storage. Thank you.

    UH... Just transfer the files instead of transcoding them. The files directly from the cam usually are the highest quality you can get.
    You could transcode DNXHD or ProRes depending on your operating system, but there will be no increase in quality.

  • What is the best way to comply with footage of 60 fps 24 fps without slowing down?

    So I understand how time remapping and reinterpret the cadence of the 60 fps footage to slow it down, but I'm at a loss as to how I can do 24 fps without just which establishes it as such, giving a jerky export.

    I'm shooting on a Rebel t3i that only allows me to shoot in 720 p at 60 frames per second. Is it possible to drop the frame rate without changing the duration while preserving quality?

    Thanks for any help in advance!

    Shiraz

    Drop your 60 p clip into a sequence of 24 p. Cliquer click with the right button, and then select frame Blend. It's about as good as you will get in Premiere Pro.

    If you need 24 p, why not shoot 1080 p? The T3i plans to 23.976 (24 p) mode 1920 x 1080 p. You can always scale the clip 1080 p to 720 p.

  • Best way to improve the overexposed skin tones?

    Best way to improve skin overexposed in Premiere Pro tones?

    Just uncheck the 'Clamp Signal' and see if there is anything above 100, or if there's just stable.

    PrPro, there is an intriguing situation in the Lumetri Panel..., they're trying to uh... well think you want now... "user-proof '... UM... so the "Basic" tab won't let you push anything above about 98 or less than about 2. And... you won't bring back something over 99 or lower to 1.

    However, the creative curves & color wheels tabs allow to pass the signal off limits to. If you have the detail there, you can use curves or portions of the color wheel to move these data. I go to the climax wheels, the cursor beside him luminance color wheel and pull that down some, see what you get.

    In addition, there is a blue spike WAY outside the "legal" saturation You might be able to find this peculiar tint using the Committee Lumetri wheel and parameter related to the clique on a point or two on each side, rear-wheel drive "legal." I am more comfortable FORCED secondary for more SpeedGrade, but then... In fact, I love this app!

  • 27gig upside down footage, the best way to change? Flip export then re edit or what?

    Hi guys, I went on a ski hol recently and have 27gig down on a helmet camera footage, I'm really stuck on how best to modify, it is filmed at 60 frames per second at 720. Not sure if reverse all export and import the correct path upward and start editing from the source and, if that would be the best way of setting export to keep the out put to the same settings. Thanks in advance

    To .avi I would try uncompressed (none), UT or Lagarith.
    All them is likely larger than your original files,
    but that's the price to pay for shooting backwards.
    I favor uncompressed (none)... the files are a little smaller.

    For Quicktimes, component or uncompressed without loss.
    The Avid DNxHD codec becomes good review of quality depending on the size,
    but I don't have any direct experience using it.

    You could experiment with high speed I-frame only MPEG files.
    and modify your own encoding settings to get what you want.

    First, I'll start with a short clip and experiment with your results.
    Some formats can read for you more easily than others,
    and you don't want to encode alone to find reading
    is not what you expected.

    Good luck and happy flipping file.

  • Best way to import images

    I'm looking for the best way to import pictures to my Mac. I currently use iMovie to import my images, because I come from the end of 'consumers users', but I'm looking for more professional way.

    All of my cameras use SD cards and put all the images in a folder/quicktime file called "PRIVATE". It's all my research, AVCHD. When you import into iMovie, it seems what I push in 60 fps down to 29.97, that's why I was looking for another way. -Another question is also, when I import iMovie, which makes the 'Mac' images only until his change, that sucks. I need a good way to import images in case I ever need to use a Windows machine. iMovie puts the icon (AIC) on the files.

    One of the cameras with which the footage was shot was a JVC GZ-HM35BUSD. (Some cheap Wal-Mart camcorder), but the other (same AVCHD Formate) images were shot using a really expensive sony camcorder. ($600). (Not sure of the name)

    Thank you

    David

    I have directly from AVCHD editing all the time and it works fine for me on several systems, including an older macbook pro. I suggest avoiding if possible the transcoding. It takes a lot of time and if you don't do this right, you could surcompresse and a generational loss.

    I would not go and delete unused items after I'm done editing, just to save space. Also, if it's projects, I don't care, I sometimes export final movie into something easily playable outside the Organization (like mov or mp4) and then delete all the media source. This is NOT recommended if you work in a professional manner. In this case, you must check in all. But for prosumers, there may be a lot of projects where you just want to put together a quick edit and then export it as a final movie for viewing online or elsewhere. In this case, you cannot hold on to all your layer to always source footage.

    It really varies by user, but like I said, if you work professionally, or aspiring to, you'll need a way to archive and back up these archives. If you work from the band, then comes the labelling and store the tapes are an acceptable backup for the media associated with a certain project (of course, you will still need to save and save the project itself). But if you work from tapeless formats, then you will need several hard drives with lots of space, archive and everything back up. The good news is that hard drives get less expensive, bigger and stronger all the time. I had two lacie 1 TB hd for a few years now with zero problems (before there 2 lacie 500 GB for many years, also with 0 problems). But I'm still parnaoid that #1 will go while #2 is still in the Act of saving. Or they'll both go at the same time. Ouch.

    I have a song that is most often improvised, I was told that his cool, however, re-registration is not possible.

    After reading a lot on the mixture, I now hear where the uneducated choice and errors that I made which explains the sound "not as good" that the song is.

    I read this question so many times and I can't seem to figure out exactly what you're asking.  You just ask if you can go back in your GarageBand project and edit your tracks again?  Of course, you can, why not you?

  • Apple "final cut pro 7", high res Pro 422lt 1920 x 1080 (odd) clips, is this gradual?, no 1080 progressive setting sequence, how can I ensure that I have the best setting of the timeline for my clips

    Apple "final cut pro 7", high res Pro 422lt 1920 x 1080 (odd) clips, is this gradual?, no sequence definition 1080 progressive

    How can I make sure that I have the best setting of the timeline for my clips. I did all the settings of Mount clips but there is no progressive setting for 1080 p. Images originally dslr Nikon that I used mpeg streamclip to convert to prores. Thanks for your help!

    The frame for you size source of material is HDTV 1080i (16:9). That only sets the size of the image, not the domination of the field, it's what makes progressive or interlaced. The reason it's labels with the 'i' is that when FCP7 was abandoned by Apple, they have never updated the software in order to take account of 1080 p contents.

    To make your progressive sequence, set the dominant field to None.

    In your screenshot of the properties of the element for your clip to the source, the material is interlaced. At the original camera file interlaced or progressive?

    Also, the fps footage was actually 30 original and 29.97 not standard?  30 images/s is very limited its use.

  • What is the best way to use the Y50-70 battery please?

    I bought the laptop y50-70

    but I want to know what is the best method to use the battery.

    and the best way to recharge.

    NOTE *.

    IAM always use the cable and I gave the battery except a few times.

    Thank you very much..

    Best way to use the battery, if your laptop should ALWAYS be connected in-

    Go to eat energy Lenovo - should be a RED icon in the system tray - and choose the mode for a better health of the battery (or battery Protection or health of battery optimized mode).

    I don't know what the energy Manager version you have, but the option must seem similar. What it does is, it will keep your battery charged ONLY up to 60 percent and will increase its service life.

  • Best way to convert H.264 to ProRes for FCPX

    Hello! I'm about to get a DJI Osmo device that records in H.264 codec, and I did research on disorders that FCPX will have to try to change this sequence. While some people say that FCPX takes care of everything, most of the comments say that the conversion to ProRes format would be the best way to deal with the stress of editing.

    Apple has a converter for ProRes? FCPX has the ability to convert (If Yes, please explain how and where to do this), or is the only way to do this conversion through a third-party software?

    You have to may not convert H.264 at all, depending on your hardware, and you certainly do not need a third party converter. FCP can transcode at the stage of import, or after you begin your project.

    There is a full trial that you can download and see for yourself how your Mac handles your images.

    Good luck.

  • Best way to reduce image noise?

    I had some footage with an iso low light high and a bow flowing into it. What would be the best way to hide a bit? Thank you!

    An excellent choice for denoising is a Neat video plug-in.  https://www.neatvideo.com/

  • Best way to store all the pixels in the layer of the CBC?

    I am trying to create an image for AE filter plugin. The proposed model for Applications SDK ("skeleton project"):

    Suites. Iterate8Suite1 ()->Browse(in_data,

    0, / / basic course

    linesL, / / final progress

    & params [SKELETON_INPUT]->u. ld, // src

    NULL / / area - null for all pixels

    ()Sub*) & tInfo, / / Conref - your custom data pointer

    drawTriangles8 / / function pixel pointer

    output));

    But I want to run my filtering algorithm of image on an array of int int [] argument tableau_donnees which owns all of the RGBA (0-255) values for each pixel.

    I'm doing this because I have already written the filter for Java and prefer not to completely change my implementation.

    So already, part of an API or is there a common way to do this?

    Here is my current solution in the render function:

    static PF_Err Render (.) {

    //...

    for (int i = 0; i < tInfo > -width; i ++) {

    for (int j = 0; j < tInfo > -height; j ++) {

    PF_Pixel currentPixel = *getXY(* tInfo->enter, i, j);

    int alpha is currentPixel. alpha;

    int red = currentPixel. red;

    int Green is currentPixel. Green;

    int blue = currentPixel. Blue;

    p.push_back(red);

    p.push_back(green);

    p.push_back(blue);

    p.push_back(alpha);

    }

    }

    public static PF_Pixel

    * getXY (PF_EffectWorld & def, int x, int y) {}

    return (PF_Pixel*) ((char*) beatdata +)

    (y * batrowbytes) +.

    (x * sizeof(PF_Pixel))) ;

    }

    Also, while I'm here, what is the best way to debug the plugin using Xcode? I put the path to the executable to AE, but I don't know how to debug with AE mode. I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

    Hi timode! Welcome to the forum!

    If you use the following iteration you have given PF_EffectWorld pixels for

    the buffer in and the output buffer, as well as their coordinates x, y.

    You can't the rest of the iteration put you anything else automatically.

    You can pass a pointer to any data you like, get this pointer in the

    iteration work and then go searching your data int right-handed

    x, y parameters.

    to create an array of int of any size, use of the MemorySuite and lock the

    got memory handle on an int *, and then obtained pointer behave as a

    table. (you cannot use push_back, of course for reading.)

    or proposed methods are the best performance, but I guess that when

    you will take care of performance that you can convert your java code works directly

    on the input pixels...

    in regards to debugging in xcode, if you have set the path to the executable, just hit

    cmd + r and xcode will build and run a debugging session.

    do not ensure that the build location is the place of the

    that AE loads the plug-in... (you can create an alias of plug-ins for AE

    Directory to the build location. AE will scan the alias)

  • What is the best way to do a data column all the one-colour

    www.bristolequestrianservices.co.UK \sales.html.

    I'm doing all my retail price in a red color.  I gave him an extended class but the numbers go up online and if I go just to get him off, then he gives it adds a < p >...

    < p > < span class = "sales" >£ 900 </span >

    < /p >

    If it's good to add a < p > I'll do it, but I don't think that is correct.

    Give him a line height in css, but it does not work.

    It's my css

    .sales {}

    do-size: 16px;

    Color: #FF0000;

    }

    Can someone tell me the best way to do this please.

    Thank you.

    All your prices are in a table cell. To do this, the easier is to add the class to the table cell that contains the sales prices.

    Then change your style to this rule:

    .sales p {}

    do-size: 16px;

    Color: #FF0000;

    }

    Because all prices are in paragraphs, the price is displayed in red. No need to add an interval around each price.
