  Hi everyone please note,.

  I was faced with a problem so I contacted the forum and had a nice person who tried to help me.

  Then, later, I had a person who contacted me saying that they were "Live desk hep" asking me to download Skype so that they can help me. I downloaded it because I thought it was authentic, and then they ask for my username and password for my account, while asking what the problem was, I was facing.

  I thought it was a bit suspect. They offered to download me CS 6, which is apparently compatible with OS X 10.10.5 but told I need to pay fees but with a discount.

  They conducted them negotiate a rate with me as if we were in a flea market negotiate a price. We settled on a £35 - they sent me a Bill and then asked for my zip code, which they then found the nearest Western union for me and told me to pay this way. -Which means that I would send these people in cash.

  Therefore, I timed it on what they grew too and told them there is no way I am paying like that.

  After talking to adobe by phone customer service today and they confirmed with me that this is a scam!

  Scammers are always at work - June 18, 10:00 got the call even once to another Indian is named Mark Rodgers so-called calling Windows. • Reference Dell technicians who work with Microsoft scammers?

  This morning (Monday, 24 October 11) I got a call from a Technician based in India, same scenario, as Microsoft already described here. How did get my phone no and name? Well, Thursday I contacted Dell that I got a problem with my computer, open the windows, the Dell technician says that he'll call me later and asked for my phone doesn't. He called a day later and I said that friends had fixed the problem, which was Friday. Well the first thing Monday morning, I have a Microsoft technician saying that my microsoft certificate had expired and my computer will not work unless I have renewed the certificate and I pay £££. Isn't the air very coincidential? I will never buy Dell products still once, it seems that they pass the information to the crooks or they are scammers themselves!

  If you believe that Dell Technication is also involved, you may call Dell and ask another medium or ask them abuse report and when you contact Dell, you have the file number and you can use it to complain. Also, it could be going since you had call before contacting Dell.

  I downloaded PC health Boost in response to a pop up and signed for $29.  The technician got remote access to my computer and made several areas requiring a rationalization suggested a best anti malware. He suggested that I could take my computer to the local Office Depot, or doing service remotely by the OMG Tech Support for $299 for a year of technical support. I signed up for remote assistance - for what he called a step 13 tune up and 1 year service tech for $299. He also suggested Stopzilla anti malware software for laptops for $50 each. I paid $405 with my credit card. He transferred me to a technician from the OMG that was supposed to take charge; I was to leave the computer open, connected and powered. I checked at 2:40; Watch box still "awaiting technician. About 07:00 msg showed work was going on, do not touch the mouse or keyboard. I tried to find a few reviews for OMG Internet and came across a question as to if OMG was a scam. The expert's response was that it was because of several reasons, she cited. I called automated national operator and request Microsoft support services, received somehow a couple of numbers in New York. (We are in the State of Washington).  I called the number that turned out be the support for new technologies of the Image. They said that OMG was a scam, Stopzilla was a bad anti-malware and to shut down my computer then OMG couldn't do any damage. I called my credit card to stop payment of OMG, (I forgot to PC Boost) and signed to the top with a new Image for 3 months of technical support and to check on my computer and cancel the job of OMG. The technician of the new Image then obtained remote access to my computer and has worked and will continue tomorrow.

  Now, I am completely lost and scared. Are all scams? They are all legitimate? My computer and information been compromised?  What should I do?

• WARNING: Beware of Trusteer report installation on macOS Sierra

  Just a word of warning to users who have the version for macOS Sierra - I'd be suspicious about installing and using Trusteer report of IBM software as it doesn't seem to work correctly with Safari 10. Although maybe it's not the case for all devices running Safari 10, it certainly caused problems on my Mac and someone else on this thread:

  High CPU usage (and therefore high battery drain) is the main problem I've experienced with that. If you have already installed report, maybe try using Safari and check Activity Monitor CPU usage to see if this problem is widespread or limited to certain devices (mine included).

  Report was constantly beset with problems on my Mac - in OS X El Capitan icon appears in Safari 9.1.3; in the public beta of macOS Sierra the installer kept crashing and causing my Mac restart unexpectedly. and now high CPU utilization when you use Safari 10.

  Everyone encountered problems with the report? For now, I don't particularly want to reinstall the software, despite its security perks - headaches constant software involves dissuaded me to use it for the moment.

• Beware! Numbers (v4; Sierra) cannot open the docs for v3.6 (El Cap)

  I just noted that numbers v4.0 (Sierra) seems impossible to open documents created or updated to v3.6, the latest version on El Cap.

  I found a silent workaround: export the document under Numbers ' 09 on the machine El Cap. v4.0 is able to open these files, and then save. You will be asked to move the document to the latest version.

  I'm just happy to only have an old machine to run again El Cap/numbers v3.6.

  I don't know if this also applies to Pages and Keynote documents.

  Ditto.  No error, nothing.  Should not be at least a mistake any?  It's sad that I now have to use another program to view the documents numbers.  Really?

  Update: well, 'some' of my files of numbers will be truly open.  It takes just like two minutes to open.  Even after I save number 4.0.  Hello, Apple.  Difficulty please.
