Hello

BEX errors often are caused by toolbars such as Google, TrendMicro and others. Are you using a 3rd party
toolbars in Internet Explorer? Cause and solution is the same for Vista and Windows 7.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you ALREADY had on this
machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave remnants behind which emits causes).

Start - all programs - Accessores - system tools - IE with no Addons - does this work better?

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore advanced settings, and then click RESET - APPLY / OK

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on Reset all areas - APPLY / OK

Close and restart IE or IE with no addons

Start - all programs - Accessores - system tools - IE with no Addons - does this work better?

IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install
"(and it causes problems - you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again)." Search for other possible problems.

Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.

Could be a BHO - BHOremover - free - standalone program, needs no installation, download, unzip and run.
Also not all the BHO is bad, that some managed bars of tools and features that you added.
http://securityxploded.com/bhoremover.php

Startup programs
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware update and then run it as
a scanner.

I hope this helps.

I tried the way DEP but it dose not work. He says "this program must run with Data execution prevention (DEP) enabled. You can't turn off DEP for this program. »

    Help, please.

    Hello

Cause must be printer drivers so check with the help of the manufacturer of the printer
    and the forums (if any).

OEM for the printer manufacturer is responsible for the proper functioning of the printer
and their drivers. Check with the printer manufacturer's support, their online
documentation and drivers and ask in their forums.

Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

  • Bejeweled 3 has suddenly a BEX error

I visit my Grandma for the holidays and she complains that its Bejeweled game stops. I tried to add the game to a DEP exception: no dice. It won't allow me. I tried to disable DEP using bcdedit, it crashed five minutes later. We run Windows Home Premium, 64-Bit. There is much more space on the computer: enough space it takes nothing deleted to make this work.

I received information from incident during the last two times, which seem to indicate a BEX error. This is the last time:

Make sure you have the latest version of Direct X

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/179113

Right click on the game icon > select Properties

    Select the Compatibiity tab

Check run this program in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7

    Check run as administrator

    Click on apply, Ok

If the next step does not work, and you really want to play, chances are that you need an emulator BACK. The more commonly used BACK emulator is DOSBox, which is free and Open Source.

    Very grateful.

    Hi Mary F.

Please use the Forum of the community for Vista.

Most likely, there is an add-on that is to play with IE.

    You can try this.

    1. open IE
    2. display the Advanced tab.
    3. click on the button Reset Internet Explorer settings.
    4. click Reset to confirm the operation.
    5. click on close when you're done the reset process.
    6. click on Enable option of extensions third part of the browser in the settings area.
    7. click on apply, click OK.

After that, check to see if it works and if this is the case, select an addon at a time until you find the culprit. Uninstall it and then reinstall it if you need.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft forum. I will definitely help you with this.

I understand that you have problems during the installation of the software. This problem is possibly due to several reasons such as security software that can be installed on the computer, any program or application that is running on the computer on the bottom, or due to some errors on the hard drive of the computer.

Method 1: Run the clean boot

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot

  • Windows Media Player will not play the .mp4 files after installation IE10 - BEX error message

Hello! Recently, when I tried to read a file .mp4 on Windows Media Player, the player would immediately stop working and tell me that he could not play this type of file, even if the day before he could do so without any problem. I had an option to close the program or click to more information, so when I clicked for more information, he gave me this:

Back to a system restore point previous fixed the problem and I could again play the files in Media Player, but during the night that Windows updates installed and the morning I could not play these .mp4 files once more. So I restored to a point earlier, changed my updates so that they are is more automatic and by installing each day at a time, I finally isolated the problem in Internet Explorer 10. If I install that, just Windows Media Player will not play these files.
I tried a manual update of Internet Explorer 10, turn off all the options of toolbars shit and everything, thinking that when it automatically installs those who may be included, but that has not helped. Had to go back to my previous IE10 restore point. So no matter what, Internet Explorer 10 kills my ability to play .mp4 on Windows Media Player files.
I don't have toolbars running on IE9 at all.
I know that's obvious answer is 'do not install Internet Explorer 10' or if I do, download another player for .mp4 files. But the fact is, it shouldn't happen, it is indicative of something being wrong, and I would like TO be able to install Internet Explorer 10 AND use Windows Media Player to play these files. If someone else has had this problem, or know a way to fix it?
    Here are my system specs:
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
    Intel Core i5 - 3350P @ 3.10 GHz CPU
    ASRock H77M LGA 1155 motherboard
    8 GB DDR3 240 - Pin SD RAM

SAMSUNG series Pro 840 MZ-7PD256BW 2.5 "256GB SATA III MLC internal Solid State Drive
I'd appreciate any help you can provide! Thank you!!

It sounds like your question. I think you should uninstall this update and
hide and see if that solves your problem. Please report.

I tried myself after experiencing the same problem and error code. I uninstalled the KB2670838 update, and then my Windows Media Player finally worked again. I also found that IE 10 must be uninstalled as well. Installation of IE 10 also automatically installs the update of KB2670838 platform. After uninstalling KB2670838, IE 10 automatically uninstall with it, better you hide two updates so that they do not install again. From the link in the previous post, I learned that the platform update is having problems of conflict with the AMD drivers. Good luck to you and hope this helps.

With this problem, try to perform a complete uninstall with all data cleaning. (Uninstall Skype from 'Control panel' and remove the Skype data folder in your user as c:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Skype\ account records) Do a fresh install of Skype.
Perhaps deleting the shared.xml and config.xml file allows you to set also.

It works on my machine again and I hope this has been helpful.

    With all best wishes.

  • BEX with Adobe Acrobat error on Vista 32-bit operating system

I am running Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and get a Windows error message when I try to get a PDF with a password Adobe Acrobat 8.1. Reads the error message Windows: "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working.   (The problem event name is BEX).  And when I click on 'Check online for a solution and then close the probram', he just seems to close the program.  I searched for an answer online (Adobe and Microsoft), but can't seem to find something close to what I feel.  Can anyone help?

    Hello

Have you installed the toolbar with Adobe Acrobat?

Restore to factory state out of the box. Can I install all updates from Microsoft using Windows update or can I install antivirus first before to connect to internet?

Currently Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x 86 (no patches since 2008). Currently, it has no AV and has not been connected to the internet yet. It will be behind a router.

I had to redo the factory already reset after be connected to the net for 20 minutes and then a bunch of programs kept crashing saying Data Execution Prevention had to close the program StackHash and BEX error when executing update for HP drivers.

Maybe I installed Kaspersky first next time?

    What should I do?

    Thank you!

No problem. Install the updates. You can install the anti-virus later.

Just don't start browsing the inet by updating.
