"bgp as path bestpath ignores" in 1006 ASR

Hi all

I want to configure BGP to ignore as the path for the best choice of path to the router ASR 1006. But in BGP configuration mode, this isn't the option as path access list. It's showing as unrecognized command.

  • Question about BGP best path selection (LOCAL)

    Hi Sir,

Out of BGP table which I stumbled upon a book is attached. There is a prefix of the table with two paths.

I noticed that the LOCAL_PREF attribute is not displayed for the routes recorded via eBGP. My understanding of LOCAL_PREF is that it is configured locally on the router and only exchanged within the same as with the other speakers.

Someone can say, what criteria does BGP uses to select the best path for prefix 172.18.0.0? He chooses the iBGP route (jump according to 172.30.255.150). In my opinion, it uses the LOCAL_PREF attribute.

I read that the 'Best BGP' document path selection algorithm this path without LOCAL_PREF is considered as having the value set with the command 'default local-preference bgp' or 100 by default. So in my case, BGP compares 300 LOCAL_PREF (via 172.30.255.150) against 100 LOCAL_PREF (via 10.100.83.1).

Please correct me if I got a bad concept.

    Thank you.

    B.Rgds,

    Lim TS

You are right. The internal path (local-pref 300) wins over the external path (local-pref 100) due to its higher local preference.

    Hope this helps,

  • Duplicate BGP AS path

    Hello guys,.

Today at awkward work something caught my attention.

The situation returns to BGP, when I run the command sh ip bgp, the output gives me this:

Version of BGP table is 56, local router ID is 10.10.0.16

The part "BOLD" of the output is exactly the same thing, and this connection works on ATM.

I can't understand this question, so if someone could explain to me why this is happening or how can we solve it, I have other sites configured the with the same configuration and it gives me the same exact result.

    Hello

The nearby 172.xxx.xxx.161 done AS_PATH adding by adding at the beginning of his time number one DID when advertising the default route so it is considered to be a neighbor of backup.

    Hi Umit,

It is good that you have debugs attached:

    RP/0/RSP1 / CPU0:Jun 19 21:17:13.671: bgp [1039]: [IOTC]: open verification failed for 192.168.96.4 - "No ipv6 address of gbl.

You need an IPv6 address on the interface of "family of ipv6 unicast addresses" peering - otherwise the BGP session would not come and rest idle, also open check fails

This is a known problem logged in as CSCtq26829:

  • Archiving log / nologging / direct path insert

Could you please confirm if the following are true or correct me if my interpretation is wrong:

Log mode archive 1) and logging is necessary to deal with the media recovery; It was not necessary for the recovery of the instance.

    (2) IF the insert is no. APPEND mode, redo is generated, even if the table is in nologging mode and database is in log noachive mode. This recovery is necessary for recovery of the instance.

    (3) direct path insert ignore cancel the generation and can jump redo generation if the object is in nologging mode.

    Thank you.

In case if it is relevant, I'm using Oracle 11.2.0.3.

    (1) Yes, archive logs is required for media recovery.
2 and 3) even if the table is in nologging mode, it generates little recovery data dictionary and index maintenance. After a reboot of a failure - Oracle reads the online redo logs and replay any what transaction it finds in there. It's the little "roll forward." The binary redo information are used to re-read everything that did not get written to the data files. This review included refreshing the information for CANCELLATION (UNDO is protected by roll forward).

After the restoration has been applied, the database is generally available for use now - and restore begins. For any transaction that was being processed when the instance failed - we have to revert his changes, roll back. We do this by treating the cancellation of all uncommitted transactions.

The database is now fully recovered.

can you please help me if I makeover anything in my setup?

    Hello

Can you please make sure you have a value of bandwidth on ALL your BGP peering physical interfaces? And you can also include the running-config 'router bgp XXXX' out of R1 as you have not understood what we (others are). Just to make sure that you have "bgp dmzlink-bw' configured on all peerings and overall in the process - it will still show in the output of the same community if it does not work on it.

  • IKEV2 IKEV1 compatibility

    Hi all

Please let me know if I implement IKE V2 on 1006 ASR Cisco router or firewall and sets up IPsec with device IKEv1 (router Cisco, Juniper etc.)

It'll work or not? If so, please share the document to look at other

    Syed,

The standards IKEv1 and v2 are not interoperable, if that's what you're looking for.

You can have on a single device, the tunnels with both IKEv1 and IKEv2 peers (he has no problem with that, with the restriction of my initial post), but do not expect IKEv2 configuration only to terminate IKEv1 negotiation.

ASR or ISR G2 come to handle and IKEv2 IKEv1 configuration at the same time.

You can have your connectivity to IKEv2 and IKEv1 peers.

  • error when the BPEL 10 upgrade to 11 g

    Hello

We opened and a 10g of bpel project has migrated to 11g jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 following the guests/instructions.

the project has been migrated successfully.

then we tried to restore it without making any changes to the migrated code and he gave the following and other similar caveat.

ignorant C:\...\composite.xml, not on the source path

ignorant C:\...\build.xml, not on the source path

could you please tell what to do to rebuild without warnings?

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry, I thought you said you had migrated work and I wanted to just get rid of the warnings...

I guess there's something wrong with the project configuration then... If you go to the project properties, you should see the "Project1" path under path source project > soa content...

Then under technology Scpope, you should see SOA selected...

    See you soon,.

  • Installer of creative cloud sticks with Lightroom 4.1 showing in place and installation of 4.3

What is the problem with the installer? (see section)

I had installed 4.1 as a separate facility before I went to the creative cloud.

Apparently, there's at least an installation bug: I removed completely Lightroom using uninstall. Subsequently installed via installer creative cloud. Lightroom is installed in C:\Programs can where it was installed before, completely ignoring the installation path in the installation of creative cloud program (what is C:\Adobe for me), which makes the installer not clicking on the link 'Launch app', as the software is not installed where it expects.

So two things to fix: Lightroom 4.3 is not available in the creative clouds, installation path gets ignored by the installation of Lightroom. :-(

Thank you for the information on the custom installation path.  You should be able to install Lightroom 4.1 at the default location and then install Lightroom 4.3.  4.3 Lightroom will then use Lightroom 4.1 license information.

We seek to provide an updated release of Lightroom in Adobe Application Manager in the future.

  • Inserting an image with a value of Y in an Access field

    Using ASP/VBscript and access
I do a page which dislays a list of organizations (using repeated regions) concerned with disabilities. I want to use the images for symbols which indicate if, for example, an organization uses textphones, is accessible to wheelchairs and other chairs. I use a form to add new records to the database. I want the form to allow users to select the applicable symbols by using the checkboxes. What is the code will allow the registration page to interpret a value Y as a path to the image and ignore a value N.
    Thank you

Assuming you have text, storing the O N then on the output fields you
have a block of code like this

    < %="">< br="" >="" si="" recordset.fields.item("wheelchair").value="« Y »" then="">< br="" >="" %="">

    <%End if%>

However is your domain is configured to be a yes / no type then the best way is to
    the test like this

    If recordset.fields.item("wheelchair").value = TRUE then

  • Why "bgp bestpath missing-as-worst med" command does not produce the desired result?

Can dear all, someone tell me why "bgp bestpath missing-as-worst med" command does not produce the desired result?

The prefix is assigned a MED of 0, but also the best path value when I use "bgp bestpath missing-as-worst med" in how to configure bgp... :-(

Please take a look at the discussion on the configuration of drugs to an eBGP neighbor:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/thread/343397?TSTART=0

Note that BGP MED is set to 0 even if the injected BGP route from a connected route.

The first time I came across this problem sending MED was there in a picture of 5-6 years service provider. Routes were injected into BGP with the command 'network', has been validated by OSPF routes or static to null0. Involuntary consignment of drugs was mess with load balancing between 2 links of our inbound traffic from the same upstream service provider.

Also note that if a route is learned via iBGP, border router removes MED before the road to advertising for an eBGP peers (i.e. the above comments apply a when a route is injected locally into the border and then router BGP sent to an eBGP peer).

I don't know what the cause of the problem that you said in your last post. It delivers last for a long time or that it does not change after a while?

p.s. Sorry, I edited post because I said "iBGP" instead of "eBGP" at some point.

  • maximum-paths command help required in BGP

    HII...

I use cisco WS-C3750X - 48P switch in the branch with link two different ISP and apply in config. I want to balance traffic going out with two Internet service providers. I have configured "paths of maximum 2" command in BGP.

2 maximum paths is only part of what you need.  You must also use the secret/hidden command: bgp bestpath as path multipath-relax

  • BGP removing the best path

    Hello.

I have a problem where the best path to a particular destination is removed by BGP.

    To explain.

Site A has 2 links to site B. 1 via a peer eBGP on MPLS, 2 via an iBGP during a backup VPN peer.

I configured the ebgp with a higher weight counterpart so that it is preferred.

    The problem is the following.

When the ebgp peer link goes down, the connection via the ibgp peer is preferred.

When the link via the ebgp peer returns to the top, the path of the ebgp peer doesn't come back in the BGP table (in fact it dates back to a second and is then removed).

Could someone help me on this one.

    Thank you

    Lee

It would go something like this:

    Country:

    router bgp 65500

nearby MPLS map route setMed out

    setMed allowed 10 route map

corresponds to the ip address 1

    set 2 med

    setMed allowed 20 route map

    med game 1

    permit access-list 1

    RtrC:

    router bgp 65500

nearby MPLS map route setMed out

    setMed allowed 10 route map

corresponds to the ip address 1

    set 2 med

    setMed allowed 20 route map

    med game 1

    permit access-list 1
