Cisco ASR9006 bgp always inactive

Hello

I can try to configure asr 9006 for bgp, but I still see the inactive bgp neighbors. My logs configrations and asr are below. What can I do? Could you advice me please.

Hi Umit,

It is good that you have debugs attached:

RP/0/RSP1 / CPU0:Jun 19 21:17:13.671: bgp [1039]: [IOTC]: open verification failed for 192.168.96.4 - "No ipv6 address of gbl.

You need an IPv6 address on the interface of "family of ipv6 unicast addresses" peering - otherwise the BGP session would not come and rest idle, also open check fails

This is a known problem logged in as CSCtq26829:

Kind regards

Ivan.

    Hello

I just bought an alienware13 with an amplifier of graphics. And I have a GTX970 installed in the amplifier of graphics. After I start my alienware, everything seems to work fine, the graphics amplifier power light is the video card fan is running. In the pre-installed application "graphics amplifier" win8.1 I see that my external card is connected. Even with a GPU - Z, I can read all my GTX970 statistics. But it just doesn't! The loading of the GTX970 is always 0%, all applications and games running on the video chip to base. I also tried to connect a LCD monitor to GTX970, but it out nothing and the screen is still in a State of 'no signal '.

What is the problem with my amp alienware13 and graphics? Please help, thanks!

    Hello

I have the same problem with the gtx970. So please DELL hurry to implement a solution for this.

  • Multihomed BGP - which will broadcast directly connected networks?

I'm labing in place a script on my site of practical Cisco HSRP, BGP GNS3 and perhaps grow later on network practice as well other protocols.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk365/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080093f2c.shtml

Everything is already configured and the installer, except that I don't have interconnection routes announced to any BGP process on routers, still.

Interconnection networks as you can see in the photo are:

    192.168.31.0

    192.168.42.0

    192.168.63.0

    192.168.64.0

Obviously I can't source these networks of each router, or use redistribute connected on each router because I would get duplicate routes, so my question is: what routers you use to come from these 4 networks of? I was thinking of using the network control (or maybe even a map of the route) on ISPA for networks 192.168.31.0 and 192.168.63.0 and ISPB for networks 192.168.42.0 and 192.168.64.0.

What is the appropriate method of world real something like that, or there are several ways to do this correctly?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Vanjaburic,

Failure RIB is not a problem. You'll see this output normally where BGP route is not able to settle in to the routing table, as a route to higher value AD is already there in the routing table. Here we have a static route.

more information on the failure of BGP RIBS

    http://blog.ioshints.info/2007/12/what-is-BGP-rib-failure.html

    • The function of failure on the SIDES was introduced in IOS version 12.2 T; before that, the BGP routes with superior remote than other sources of road administration have been ignored in silent mode (like all other routing protocols).
    • You can view the BGP routes that are not inserted into the table of IP routing with the commandshow ip bgp ribs-failure , which also explains why the road BGP not was not inserted in the IP routing table.
    • BGP which are not used due to the higher administrative distance roads are always announced to all BGP peers (contrary to what most other distance-vector routing protocols do), unless you configure bgp delete-inactive (introducted in 12.0 and 12.2 T (26) S).

The prefix is assigned a MED of 0, but also the best path value when I use "bgp bestpath missing-as-worst med" in how to configure bgp... :-(

Please take a look at the discussion on the configuration of drugs to an eBGP neighbor:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/thread/343397?TSTART=0

Note that BGP MED is set to 0 even if the injected BGP route from a connected route.

The first time I came across this problem sending MED was there in a picture of 5-6 years service provider. Routes were injected into BGP with the command 'network', has been validated by OSPF routes or static to null0. Involuntary consignment of drugs was mess with load balancing between 2 links of our inbound traffic from the same upstream service provider.

Also note that if a route is learned via iBGP, border router removes MED before the road to advertising for an eBGP peers (i.e. the above comments apply a when a route is injected locally into the border and then router BGP sent to an eBGP peer).

I don't know what the cause of the problem that you said in your last post. It delivers last for a long time or that it does not change after a while?

p.s. Sorry, I edited post because I said "iBGP" instead of "eBGP" at some point.

  • Firefox crashed 45 times in 24 hours.

I work to a new installation of Windows. also new video card, processor, hard drive. The night last Firefox broke every five minutes. He crashed once before that I put on my addons and several times after (somewhere around 30 times). I tried to go back to an older version of Firefox and crashed as well. It will be either crash at startup, or it will open my tabs and then stop.

Here is the information that might be useful: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-864db5b8-b866-4d20-9f60-913862150406

I ran Firefox reset to get rid of my modules, but they were:
Extensions: Adblock more 2.6.9 Amazon Smile 1Configuration for Firefox, Norton Toolbar 2014.7.12.7, reddit improvement suite 4.5.4, abd [fvd] 6.6.7 speed dial.

    Topic: Fractal Frost

Plugins: OpenH264 Video by Cisco 1.3 (always activate); Shockwave flash 13.0.0.277 (always); NVIDIA 3d vision 7.17.13.4788 (ask to activate) - 2 of them, a Vision and a Vision streaming; and WildTangent Games (never turn).

It crashed at least 3 times since I have reset Firefox.

I appreciate the responses. The same day I posted that, Norton started throwing errors also. We uninstalled and reinstalled, but it seemed he had several things wrong so we ended up wiping the hard drive again. I have not tried to download new Firefox again because Norton still gave me errors. I appreciate this help. It is not really resolved, but I don't want that people feel that need to enter and continue to try to understand. I still don't know what happened.

  • 4 GB of RAM - only a few MB left * help *.

    Hello

yesterday, I noticed several hick ups with lack of RAM. All running programs were arrested in a scenario for the accident. He (OSX Yosemite) I was thinking that the question might have been "addressbooksourcesync" that took a lot of RAM. Then I solved this problem so that this doesn´t application take longer, but the problem remains. I then upgraded to El Capitan, but yet all of my RAM seems to have disappeared and the machine is incredibly slow. There here are some hard facts of my analysis but I couldn t see the main issue so far. Is there someone out there who is able to help me?

    Thanks in advance,

    BR Nick!

You actually have a performance problem?

Don't you worry about that. OS X, like all modern UNIX systems, use all available RAM to increase performance. The important thing is to the memory, which is green on the next page you post. There is nothing wrong. It is the way it is supposed to work.

  • BIOS v 1.18

    Hello!

Another question on my aspire 9520:

If I can Flash my bios (current version: 1.12) with the 1.18 a?

It is worth the change - and the risk!

It will solve these recurring issues:

3 USB on the left always inactive.

The RAM is limited to 3 GB even with 2 x 2 GB inserted into both?

I'll try to answer the questions in order:

Yes, you can Flash the BIOS v1.18.

Is there something wrong with the BIOS you currently have?

I do not suspect anything short of repair / motherboard change would fix broken USB ports.

RAM is limited, I suspect that, by your operating system.  A 32-bit operating system is limited to about 3.2 GB.

  • WRT54GH will not show wireless! Help!

    Hello to you all,.

I have a serious problem with this template WRT54GH.

It is configured with automatic DHCP, plugged into a DSL cable modem to use on a Mac OS 10.6.6 and Win7.

I used the connection wireless with no problems until today. Suddenly it will not broadcast my connection Wireless by all means!

I have already created a new connection, tried multiple SSID, passed to B, G, I tried WEP, WPA, different channels, even with the SSID broadcast enabled/disabled and I cannot find the router on any computer.

I already updated the firmware, reboot the router to the factory settings and tried every tip on the support of Cisco, Google and always avaiable not game.

The ethernet cable works perfectly, from where I am accessing internet now, but I guess that's not the proper use of a wireless router...

Can anyone help me on this issue?

    Thank you!

After all, it was a problem with the router.

I got this problem change for a new!

  • HP Mini MIE & Open Source?

There are a lot of critics mixed on locked Linux devices like iPhone & that, however, as a linux user myself, I believe that this is a positive step to introduce to the world centered on M$... > mini requires custom wifi, NDS or other modules as EEA?

Briefly, I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on the Mini Mi 1110NR.  All the material has been supported.  WiFi required a pilot non-free which is installable repositories.  However, I came back to HP Linux, as I found 8.10 resume not always inactive.

I suppose that this phenomenon was linked to the wifi drivers.  I spent 0 time troubleshooting, because I like the interface of HP and generally prefer Ubuntu 8.04 is based distro of HP, anyway.

    A few tips:

    -Open a terminal: ALT - F2 gnome-terminal

-sudo apt - get install gdebi to install the front end pretty .deb that Ubuntu is provided with.  This allows things like installing files .deb on internet

-MIE repositories have had so far of each package of 8.04.1 standard I've ever used.  HP limit what is available via Add/Remove... don't try to prevent people from apt - get install what they want.  It's very appreciated.  I hope that Asus based on this.

-J' found the sound quality to be terrible, the problem was a package: idt-alsa-eq-plugin I would remove just that.

-Adobe Reader is bloated for a machine with 8 GB SSD.  apt - get, remove it and install mozplugger.  It will use Evince to embed a PDF file in a browser window

-Thingie from USB HP recovery works very well.  There is a text .cfg file that allows you to twist/remove the recovery partition as swap.  My 8GB SSD comes with only 2.1 GB free, they allocated 1 GB for recovery (very good, but not necessary if you do a recovery USB disk) and a huge 2 GB for swap.  (!!)  Why on earth they did it is beyond me.  I reinstalled from the USB and abandoned the recovery partition, made 256 MB swap.

-Shortcuts can be found in usr/share/applications/*.desktop.  I copied one to make a .desktop for gnome-terminal entry.

That's all I can think of at the moment.  I must say, HP and Canonical did a job with the user interface.  Just the right combination of easy to use and flexible.  Great stuff.

Yesterday, I used my new Mini to troubleshoot a ThinkPad C2D Vista 7lb to 1 GB of RAM.  The Mini could fly circles around her.  10 minutes to start, without exaggeration.

  • Why replace MSE 8510 MCU 4.4 with Telepresence Server (3.1)

We have a with MCU 4.4 MSE 8510. Looking at the software accessible to the general public, that looks like that I could replace the software with the telepresence instead server software.

Why I do this? What can I win (and lose) by? I don't have any old CTS systems, just Jabber, MXP and C systems. Is telepresence server software that is actively developed while the old software MCU is not?

    Thank you

I agree with you, Codian MCU is the best.   =)

This is why I think Cisco is not going to add MCU multi-screen support, because if MCU multi-screen support, I don't know that all customers would not want to migrate to server TP or buy a new server TP.

But because of these two main features of server TP, we think about its use, who are the multimonitor support and support for the optimization of the resources with the driver.

Many Cisco! As always... In this way, they can keep the two products on the market, MCU and GST.

We expect use SX20 conference 2 of different city offices using a link with sufficient bandwidth and no firewall between, by the time there is no available CUCM, no VCS, no TMS, etc, and I have 2 questions about H323 and SIP configurations:

-What is the best way to configure the SX20 devices?  Configure the profile H323 Gatekeeper or Direct mode?  What are the recommendations on any mode?

-How do I dial to each other?  By IP address?

    TC6.0.0 running

Any help will be be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Juan Carlos Arias

So I won't have to configure any other option on H323 menu (Authentication, Gatekeeper and H323 Alias)??  Just like that??

Yes, for a basic call you do not have to configure anything else on H323 configuration options.

So, the system information status about H323 and SIP will be always Inactive, right??

Yes, gatekeeper and SIP server status will be displayed as inactive, it means that you are not using any server to make calls. But the protocols are still capable, so you can use H323 do call by dialing the IP address normally.

  • Problem of the NAC - Agent is a disconnect

    Hello

We have a problem with the NAC in mode virtual outofband.

AD SSO, sanitation, everything is working, but the strange things happening: after awhile, when downloading large files, Agent connects to the formula of network users, and the registration process is restarted.

I disabled the pulsation clocks and timers, session, but we still have a problem.

Also, while sniffing traffic on the switch port, I noticed that after have correctly connected you to the own Cisco Agent network always send traffic to UDP Port 8905. Is this a normal behavior?

I noticed problems with this version of the agent causing connections to give up intermittently. I would upgrade to agent v4.1.3.1.

  • ACS VM 5.2 ESXi 4-ESXi5

    Hello.

My client as agreed at the servers virtualized in ESXi5, the problem is that the ACS5.2 has been installed in ESXi4.

Is there any question connects to the migration of the CSA installed 5.2 in ESXi4 to ESXi5?

    The procedure to follow?

    Thank you

    Antero Vasconcelos

    Hello Antero,

ACS 5.2/5.3 can't ESXi 5.0. It seems that ESXi 5.0 support for versions 5.x ACS will be included on the version 5.4 of the ACS. However, I am not aware of the release of GBA 5.4 ETA.

As ESXi 5.0 is not a supported platform / tested for ACS 5.x, you may experience bad behaviors on the application itself.

We have seen ACS 5.3 running on ESXi 5.0 without any problem on a lab environment, however, if a problem arises and a support ticket is necessary, Cisco TAC will always respect the fact that we run that demand for ACS in the specifications supported listed on the product release notes and installation guides.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards.
