  I have a laptop HP HDX16, Windows 7 64 bit.

  It seems my computer updated automatically and restarts, only the external monitor work, when I choose to extend my screen, I get my monitor and a VGA, my laptop screen display is no longer an option for selection.   Guys, I ran the update utility Fixit windowns and it ran for about 15 minutes, he pointed out that there are two errors with updates, although when I looked at the log of update, the newspaper didn't report any error.  So right after that the utility was done, I could see two screens.

  In my opinion, this is not possible.
  In extended mode, you use and display internal but extended and the long part is visible on the external monitor.
  In such a case its any that your external monitor is set as main display.

  If you want to use an external monitor only, you can only export the video signal on external monitor by pressing FN + F5

  Yes - hardware.  Could be really the screen itself or the video chipset on the card mother the power (or combination).

  Download the manufacturer or a qualified person to work on the laptop computers of this specific manufacturer to fix.

  No need to apologize.  If anything, I should apologize because I purge my frustrations with HP to someone also have problems with the HP hardware.  That makes no sense at all.

• Dynadock: set up for external monitors only in Windows XP

  We have a number of different laptops Toshiba dynadock DVI running Windows XP SP3 and dynadock 2.3 c with the video driver 4.5.14974.0.

  They all work very well, exactly as planned, except that the majority of users want to use with the external monitor only.

  We are currently their execution in mirror mode because the split screen extended mode is not necessary which requires the external monitor at the same resolution as the screen internal.

  Our users are currently using XGA 1024 x 768 in mirror mode which, on a big screen is stretched and defeats the main reason for having a large screen. We are the only ones having this problem or are we missing something obvious?

• Several external screens with Dell Precision M4700

  I just got a M4700 of precision with 8 64-bit Windows and graphics of AMD over-pants M4000. According to the Dell site and other articles I read, in addition to the built-in screen of the laptop, I should be able to connect to two other screens without the docking station or five other screens with a docking station.   I solved the problem. AMD Eyefinity cards require that you are using DisplayPort but it supports up to two "legacy" displays (DVI, VGA, etc.). The built-in computer screen is considered a single existing screen, it allows only to another non - DP monitor. I was using DisplayPort but I connect to a DVI monitor using a PASSIVE adapter. If the adapter is passive then the video card output still a DVI signal and causing count her among the existing views. I had two ACTIVE DP to DVI converters and now I have three monitors + built-in screen and it works fine.

  OK, I found the problem.

  Now Audio work perfectly.

  The problem was related to the pilot HDAudBus (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services------HDAudBus) which was fixed with the start (REG_DWORD) 0 x 4 (disabled). Set to 0 x 3 and rebooting, everything has been implemented.

  I got a Dell Precision M4700 and I update bios A05. I was intending to move to Windows 8. Everything was fine and the bios update was successful. I started the new bios under Windows 7 Professional (base OS) factory-installed and was very good.

  However, I can't get into the bios (not even see the POST from Dell or Logo) after I activate the UEFI and Secure Boot.This before I update to Windows 8 Pro. Now I'm stuck with a blank screen (same LCD not lit) and nothing to start. It's like a dead PC.

  I fixed it!  Just removed the CMOS battery, the BIOS got reset back to factory default.  So I did:

  (1) remove the battery

  (2) press the power button to the case of ground

  (3) remove the lower panel

  (4) disconnect the CMOS battery (it's tedious)

  (5) I hit the power button for some time (30 s) to clear the capacitors or something else, it was my theory, but I doubt it's necessary

  (6) use it to all back to the start

  When I turned it on it turns on and turns off several times before finally stay standing and I was then able to enter the BIOS and all the settings have been restored to factory default.  I am new to Windows 7 on my machine so I'll repeat the process, this time without disabling the legacy option roms!

  I recently bought a Samsung curved (S27D590C; 1080 p). My setup is a MacBook Pro 13 "(mid-2012), connected to the screen using an adapter 3-in-1 (mini DisplayPort to VGA, DVI and HDMI). When I use the VGA, I can get up to 1080 p. For some reason, I can only 720 p when you use the HDMI cable.

  The HDMI cable is probably good as I am able to get a 1080 p using a Windows laptop without adapters.

  Additional information: by using the same configuration (MacBook + 3-in-1 adapter + HDMI cable), I am able to connect to another TV which has a native resolution of about 720 p.

  Finally, connecting with the HDMI, my MacBook is able to detect the monitor but the monitor does is display a blank screen.

  I would really appreciate everyones help, because this is my first purchase of external monitor. Thank you.

  Looks like you can't get good resolution on a monitor, and you get just nothing to display on another using your MacBook Pro. I would use the following article to help you get that resolved. There's a lot in there and some of it is basic, but it should lead you to getting this problem:

  I am trying to connect to an external LCD monitor with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024. When I plugged the screen plug-and-play Windows XP installed, now when I switch to the screen of the laptop to this screen (or running dual screen) it will be the only display at 640 x 480 and does all of the options in the graphic properties to change the resolution.

  It's very strange. If the correct driver is pre-installed to avoid any problems. If you want to use just external monitor using FN + F5 to change the Office externally and then change the resolution (the number of screen 1 must be enabled).
