• Tap the calligraphy brush Illustrator, questions?

  Hello!

  I am quite new to adobe illustrator. I currently use a tablet with a pressure sensitive pen. But I want to know if it is possible to change the width of my brush profile so that I use to draw.
  When I use the stylus to draw, the way I draw is set to be 'touch calligraphy brush' with the 'Basic' default width profile.
  What I want to do is to be able to use the brush sensitive pressure with a different width than 'Basic' profile, while I draw.
  I tried to use a calligraphy brush to get a trait that was consistent with my pressure and was not 'touch calligraphy', but from what I understand I can't change width of calligraphic profile.

  If in the end, the question is this:

  How can I draw on illustrator using pen and make sure the trait of my road has a different width from that is the default profile?

  You cannot use a width with a calligraphy brush profile at all.

  If you want to apply a width profile, drawing with the pencil tool. If you want to determine the width by pressure profiles, you must use the dynamic Sketch plugin.

  is there a way to simplify a texture in illustrator, I placed this texture and because it trace direct 6 color make a symbol and then im trying to map it on the cube, but its taking to long to add it to each side.

  and also I know it is a silly question, but is there a way to cheat illustrator and transform the texture in a path or a compound path?

  You have created the cube through the 3D effect? Then the mapped image doesn't have to be the vector. You can map the pixel image.

• HP 25xw: all HP 25xw/27xw March 2016 s BIG Green tinted questions

  I got 2 HP 25xws displays the same problem green tint which can only be solved through settings, this affects the tones of gray and the skin (yellowing). This also seems to affect the 27xw as well.

  Several members and I have March 2016, review SUN 111 HP 25xws all the same problems that has known at least 6 of these monitors manufactured still date/review.   Seems a bad batch problem. I hope HP can meet and at least fix this (I know LG manufacter AH-IPS) that all these monitors have been returned. It's a shame, because otherwise, they would be the best IPS, you can get 1080 p for less than $ 300.

• Illustrator questions 15.3 - selection tools, Shift key not working not properly

  Hi, my Illustrator started doing strange things, I'll work away and then the Selection tool will decide Exchange with the direct Selection tool or the SHIFT key function will not perform as it should. There is obviously something upsetting, but I don't know what! Any thoughts?

  I use a Wacom Intuos5 (driver is up to date) and I'm on the retina of Macbook pro 15 "/ OSX El Capitan."

  Forgive me, I'm a newcomer to Amnesty International and the world of the vector, and I appreciate any help you can offer! My client is looking for a watercolor, vector logo. I have drawn some assets in the draw draw adobe App, and I use the spray paint tool to fill these opaque objects with transparent watercolors symbols hoping that I did. So far I have group assets (flowers), I make a clipping mask, but when I use the symbol sprayer tool it sprays all over the place, not inside the object. What Miss me? Pro Tips? I use Illustrator CC 2015.2.1 output

  The spray must happen on a layer just below the clipping mask.

  For a beginner: here's an easy way:

  1. Select the object, and set the mode to draw inside the bottom of the toolbar.
  2. Deselect and spray from a distance.
  3. When you're done, don't forget to return to normal to draw.

  Attempting to save an 8 GB file .ai locally or on a network drive causes illustrator to crash sometimes. Is there a limit to the size of the files .ai I should try to stay under?

  Nick,

  Maybe it's not relevant if you have the same rate of failure on local economies, but it is generally recommended here for open/save from/to clean hard disk and to copy to and from networks and removable media. You maybe lucky (for a while), but the chances of corruption of files and other unpleasantnesses are immensely greater when you use something else than the hard drive, and it is better safe than sorry.

  To have a network really work requires little work.

  Make sure that you do not mix Mac and Windows on a network: you must use a Mac with Mac machines and a Windows Server with Windows machines.

  If you go through external means, it is always safer to zip/compress the file to avoid corruption.

  I have a monthly CC for my daughter.  She uses Illustrator.

  I have Illustrator CS4 on my PC.  If I had to download cc on my PC and upgrade to the latest version of Illustrator, this is allowed?
  Do you have the right to have Illustrator on 2 computers with one subscription?   If you do, can you both use Illustrator at the same time?  He will work on two computers?

  Downloaded the 2015 version of Photoshop and the problems with the color of the cloth and work plans. Work plans are displayed on a white background. I tried to change the color of the canvas by a right click and also through preferences > Interfaces but nothing has changed. Can someone advise?

  The preferred mode for work plans is:

  (1) preferences > performance > use the graphics processor = WE

  (2) the preferences > performance > avancΘs > draw = Advanced Mode

  (3) the RGB documents

  Other adjustments can result in a degraded experience. Work plans still work, but they can rate a part of the 'Visual' sugar

• Lightroom 5 - BIG TIME brush questions/video included

  I have problems of brush. I used a brush to paint a lawn, and then one more in an attempt to alleviate the back of a House and Lightroom is trolling, BIG TIME. And now he wants to just hang. Everything is up-to-date with Lightroom and on my system. I hear people give the excuse that Lightroom does not do well with the brushes and you need to use sparingly, the excuse is unacceptable.   I see only a brush lag with no blocking on my Windows 7 64 bit, 12 GB memory, processor i7-860, monitor 2560 x 1440, during the processing of raw 21Mp 5 d MKII image files. What file monitor resolution and the image that you use?

  A few possibilities. I apply no correction of distortion of lens profile (quantity = 0) and you are also apply transformations to the image.  Try to set all THE transformations and Corrections lenses to 0 and try again apply the adjustment brush settings less complicated and the number of applications so you can report exactly what pushes it over the edge.

  I recently downloaded Adobe illustrator, she also required me to download the creative cloud as well. When I try to open the adobe illustrator app a pop up saying "you must install java runtime, but you are not connected to the internet." I downloaded java, and I'm connected to the internet. The application still does not work. I need help ASAP! I need this program for a class I'm taking.

  I have a series of drawings of character in Flash built in different symbols, eyes, head, etc.. I need to export to illustrator by keeping vector but when I use export FXG that fxg file does not seem to 'remember' which framework symbols were referencing and so the image is not correct...

  Flash Pro CC 2014 (v14.0.0.110) is now available for download via the Web App Cloud and Adobe Creative site.

  We have added the function Export SVG to Flash Pro with this new version. You will now be able to export the contents of the vector of the image selected as an SVG image, which can be opened directly in a browser and even imported into Adobe Illustrator.

  Option to Export SVG are accessed through the parameters of publication as well as via the Menu file > export > export Image option.

• What is displayed in the layers palette is different from what is on the canvas - Illustrator CS6

  I'm not a super user in Illustrator, but I know my way around it and understand more than the basics.  I downloaded this Shutterstock vector but what I see on the layers palette is different from what is on the Web and if I try to save or export to another thing, the result is looking like the palette layers - almost black.

  And it only happens on some of the objects, as you can see on the image, the Apple and other leaves are very well.  It also does pumpkin and some of the grapes in the fall.  Any idea what's going on?  I checked all my layers to see if something looked weird, but they all look good...

  When I opened the original Shutterstock .eps file in Photoshop, I get the same black objects.

  

  View > preview overprinting (enable this)

  Does look dark now, then:

  Windows > attributes

  Select the item that is acting strange

  Uncheck the overprint fill

  I was working through this tutorial and in the second example, when I click on the button subract, the circle in the middle is subtracted, but I can't move the two circles regardless as it shows in the tutorial.
  
  It seems that the two circles are both selected, and I don't know how to uncheck a circle so that I can get both independently of each other. It is before clicking on develop, so I should be able to do. I tried to click with the SHIFT, but he chooses the two circles, or none.

  OK, I just watch the video tutorial that you speak, and they are certainly using the direct selection tool (A). I think that the reason you are getting confused, it is that you try to use the normal selection tool (V). Try to switch to the direct Selection tool (in addition to the shortcut letter 'A', you can switch to it by pressing the command key on a Mac or Ctrl on PC) and you should have no problem repeating what you see in the video.
