  My apologies for the lack of capitalzation.

  Suddenly tonight, turning my caps lock key is kept. I would like to press the button, but it wouldn't turn off. After my laptop computer is shut down and restarted, the SHIFT key now works properly, but none of my shift keys work. everything else seems to work very well. I've not spilled something on the keyboard and nothing happened or changed between when it was working fine before and now. What is important, the two shift keys do not work, instead of one, while the rest keys in the area of the two shift keys seem to work fine, so it seems that the problem is some sort of issue with the shift key...

  It is possible that the keyboard itself is fine and the motherboard went a bit wonky, but will be difficult to diagnose without a motherboard that is well known or known good keyboard.

  I guess you could lift and remove the shift keys and check that it works mechanically (which is likely). Then I would pull out of the rubber dome (need to identify switches) to check the electrical contacts under him and try to fill it directly.

  Any keyboard off of eBay for X 220, {T, W} {4, 5} {1,2} {0, 0 s} will work.

  a. did you software/hardware changes to your computer before this problem?
  I suggest to try the methods below, one by one and check if that helps.

  Hello. I work on Photoshop cc (on Mac) and try to put an object to scale proportionally, but my shift key stopped working. Help please

  The first thing that comes in my mind is to take plastic of the Shift key and clean if necessary. There may be something that prevents him from pushing the button. Another solution is to click on the channel icon in the Options bar just between the letters W and H which will force proportions during the measurement of things in Photoshop. You must enter free transform mode and click the chain icon.

  If you want to scale from the Center and to constrain proportions, then enter the free transform, string check icon, press Alt/Opt, navigate the mouse on the corner handle and start dragging.

  I don't see the points when you use the Selection tool and can't select parts of objects. I don't know what to do.

  I thought about it myself.  I was in "object drawing" Mode rather than "Drawing Mode of fusion. A simple CTRL + B solved my problem.

  Since I've updated to el Captain my macair bought in UK sign £ does not work when I hit the SHIFT key instead, I get the sign # that should appear when I type the pressed alt key.  Very annoying!  How can I get the sign £ back to work as usual with the SHIFT key instead of having to now use the ALT key.

• InDesign CC: SHIFT KEY not WORKING NOT

  I have a new IMAC and I just upgraded to Indesign CC. the SHIFT key does not objects or text in proportion. The SHIFT key should lock the object to unique size and allow it to be put on the larger scale. It's very frustrating because using the scale tool does not give the same results.   As you mentioned the left SHIFT key and SPACEBAR does not work it means you need to replace the keyboard, as an alternative, you can use the on-screen keyboard or wired keyboard / wireless. To activate on screen keyboad on windows 7 choose demarrer→ Panel→Ease of Access→Ease to access Center.Click the button start the Visual keyboard.

  Hi, I use a Mac - Adobe CC.

  InDesign works perfectly all day until that selection tool stopped working without reason.
