bingdesktop.exe more than 20% CPU

Hello

Office of Bing (bingdesktop.exe) uses consistently more than 20% of my CPU.

I am under W7 on an i7 quad-core with 8GB,

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello
I found a solution: uninstall and reinstall! It works perfectly now: used CPU = 0% and the background photo is correctly updated.

  • Cannot start a virtual machine with more than 1 CPU socket added

I've set up a few boxes of ESXi 5.5 with the free license in recent weeks, they have all been without problems so far. All 4 servers have the same exact hardware

    Environment:

    Dell Poweredge T620

    E5-2630 2 Intel CPU

40 GB OF DDR3 ECC RAM

    ESXi is installed on 2 x 146 GB 15 K SAS drives RAID-1

Data for virtual machines store are 8 x 600 GB 10 K SAS RAID-10 disc

Guest operating system is Server2012r2 on all virtual machines

Installed it on ESXi 3 previous were conducted with custom ESXi 5.5 Dell without problem.

The 4th is where I will have questions. I used the following ESXi installed just in case there is a bug somewhere

    5.5 of VMware ESXi

    ESXi 5.5 customized by Dell

    5.5 U1 of VMware ESXi

Any version of the ESXi I use I can't have a virtual machine to begin with more than 1 CPU socket added to it. The virtual machine does not start even the VMWare BIOS. I tried the Bios EFI as well with no luck. The error message I get in the events is ' fatal error VMware ESX: vcpu (vcpu-X)-X:VM - entry failed; Valid VMCS (error code 8). The vcpu-X is always another. I have attached the log file is created. If I give the VM 1 single processor TI starts very well. I'm at a loss as to what could be the issue.

Problem is solved. I caught another server with identical hardware, verified it worked properly, then started to swap parts between them. Turned out to be CPU1. Once this has been replaced from a working server I have not had any problems. Warranty has been appealed.

    Thanks for all the help!

  • Slow Server 2008 performance when you use more than 1 CPU - bug?

    Hello

It seems that when I run Server 2008 on one of my boxes 3 10.5.7 if I use more than 1 CPU in the settings, the ankles of machine the CPU while booting and then during the use of the operating system.  Normally, I have to run all 3 of them at the same time... and if I get all 3 virtual machines running, the CPU remains just pegged and slows down the machine.

Then, if I close everything and change the settings to 1 CPU, virtual machines work fine, the CPU barely sees any activity and 75% of the 8 GB is used and it can run for weeks at a time without any problem.

    My 3 VMs

    1 Server 2008 x 64 w/Exchange 2007 2 GB, 1CPU

    2 Server 2008 x 86 File Server/Anti-anti-virus/utilities/Quickbooks, etc. 1 GB, 1CPU

Yes, I have the tools are installed and uses the latest patches, software, etc.

    Thanks for any help...

VCPU more inside a virtual machine using could be a big problem, if you don't have much physical basis.

If you set vCPU # = # pCore, then you will have several performance issue, cause you VM hangs (during its run) ALL of your hearts.

  • Configuration of 10g to use more than 1 CPU

    Hello experts,

I have server Oracle 10.2.0.4 Enterprise Edition running on a Windows Server 2003 - Enterprise 64-bit.

    * The server has 4 Xeon processors *.

We have a performance tool that we alert to an enrichment of the CPU.

It seems that Oracle uses only a SINGLE processor.

Is this normal in a 4-processor server?

Can I make a configuration change to allow Oracle to use more than 1 CPU a CPU?

    Thank you very much. John

You have several active sessions simultaneously (i.e. normal operation OLTP) relatively fast SQL statements running? Or if you use with a handful of active sessions that each runs relatively long SQL statements (i.e. normal DSS / operations data warehouse)?

Unless you explicitly prevented Oracle to use several processors, it will use Fortunately each processor on the server. But if you have only one session active at a time and that the session is not running of the parallel operations, you would only end up using one of the available processors.

    Hi all...

    My environment:

    ESX 3.5 Update 3

VM: Windows 2000 SP4, 2 GB of RAM, 2 Vcpu

Problem: The Task Manager does not appear 2 CPU.

This virtual machine has been migrated from a VMware Server 2.0 VMware Converter standalone 4.0.1 and if I add 1 to 2 Vcpu and 4 Vcpu, Manager still shows only a single CPU tasks.

VC on, selecting the machine, performance TAB, I can see CPU 0 and CPU 1, but CPU shows minimal use.

I have attached the 1 document with 2 images, the Task Manager and the other Virtual Center.

  • Licenses for more than one CPU in SMP 4-way

    Hello

A question about the ESXi license (free): it is said it can be used for a single CPU with up to 4 cores. Is it possible to obtain a license for a dual processor computer for say 8 cores in total?

    Hello

If you want to go beyond 1 physical processor, then you need the license to the Foundation. -> http://www.vmware.com/products/esxi/buy.html

  • Svchost.exe consumes 90-100% cpu memory

When I start my computer there are 5-6 processes svchost.exe and none of them use 90% above the memory of the cpu. There is that one, IE, idle system process that uses more than 90% cpu. But when I turn off my net by right clicking on the icon in the status bar notification area and select Disable, after a while, one of the svchost.exe process begins to consume more than 90% cpu. Also its members use is superior to 40 000 K and my computer responds very slowly.

Also as soon as I finish this process my computer responds normally.
Also when I shut down my computer shows blue scree an additional message «closing network connections...» ', this isn't usually comes.
    Please help me...
    Thank you

Are you now a statement is not a problem.

    1. the amount of memory in the "working set" of a process (10 000 K = 10 MB) should not be a problem for most systems.  Even an old computer running XP probably has at least 512 MB of RAM installed.

2 PIDs are specific to your system.  Reports that a process has 912 PID doesn't mean anything to anyone else.  The svchost.exe instance you mention hosts most of all instances of svchost services into a Windows XP system (this is the "netsvcs" of services group), is not at all surprising that he needs more memory.

Buried in this long list of services is wuauserv, which is the Windows Update automatic update service.  It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is the service that used a lot of cycles CPU when you shut down your Internet connection.

If you 'end process' for this instance of svchost, most of the things that will stop working are related to the network, which may be important to you if you have disconnected your network connection.  Not all, however, are related to the network.  For example, the sound does work more (AudioSrv).

For more information, go here--> http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-xp-x86-32-bit-service-pack-3-service-configurations/ names when you run tasklist/SVC are the "service name" rather than the name, "display" then click on the header in the second column of the table in the Black Viper to sort by service name.  You can click on the "display name" of the any services to learn more on this subject.

The Vista update client has difficulties in the management of one or more updates listed in the table above to this page:

Make sure you have all install them. If your installation is known as current in April, may or June, solving the problem may be easier to manually install the KB3168965. The value "never search for updates' automatic updates and reboot before installation manual.

  • using more than 800 000 K memory of svchost.exe

Frankly, it seems that many questions post here have recently answered.  However, I thought I'd ask.

My 64 bit computer, Vista SP2 system, has begun recently in does not not having been in Hibernation.  Of course, it opens and seems to work, but things are very very very slow, or even lock up.  Then... I opened by the Windows Task Manager and find a Schost.exe taking up huge amounts of memory.

I have Malewarebytes and Kaspersky... or find any maleware or viruses.  So, what could be the problem?  What could be the solution?

Near: right now I am unable to use my computer in this State.  Physical memory is more than 71%, even with low use of less than 5% CPU.

    Thank you

    Hello

You cannot connect any monitor a CPU (central processing unit, also called the processor). You can connect several EXTERNAL monitor to your laptop , BUT for many portable normal you need to buy more hardware.

Now, my question is what is your laptop?   Please follow the instructions below to find the product/model of your machine:

  • Install more than one exe to a folder or in subfolders of the same folder

    Hello!
I want to do at least one of the following conditions:

    1. I want to install several exes (built with LV app builder) in a directory because they go hand in hand.
    2. make several subfolders under the same top-level folder EAT install exe in each of them.

(Upper level) should be the folder of "society". The subfolders are for applications.
    For example:
    c:\company\app1\app1.exe
    c:\company\app1\app1setup.exe
    c:\company\app2\app2.exe
    etc.
This can also be in the folder "program files".

If I try to do, I have a few problems of implementation of the construction specifications. If I have more than one generation standard for the exe I can't add in the same folder. At least if they contain the same external files, such as DLLs.
If I try to do by exe installer, I get an error message telling me that the same folder (my "upper tier") already exist in the registry and cannot be added again. This is also true if I try to do a new project instead of having to install several specifications in a project to build.

I use Labview 2009 (engl.) Windows Vista (in German).

If someone has a help for me or similar encounters problems please let me know.

    Holger

    Ok

for the records: I found out what was the problem (and the solution).

Both my needed apps the same external DLL. While this should be no problem it caused the new Builder installer/app and me the headaches. The new app Builder seems to build its internal paths in the registry. If you select more than one target of generation 'exe', he gets into trouble if more than one using a subdirectory 'data' with the same DLL and each subdirectory using the name of 'data' of sugested.

The solution is simple: just give each target generation "exe" a subdirectory 'data' different like data1, data2 etc. and the problems disappear.
