  However, I have a Memory Stick Pro, and a Memory Stick Pro Duo in a Memory Stick Pro adapter, and the reader can't read one of them (they both count as Memory Stick Pro, which should be readable, right?)

  Would I be able to read my Memory Stick Pro cards? Why I can't because it says that I should be able to? Should I install something first?

  To my knowledge and according to the manual of bridge housing media supports media type
  -SD memory card
  -MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card
  -Memory Stick
  -Memory Stick Pro

  Please note that the Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro are not the same in the Memory stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo.

  I think you should consult your user manual because this type of card is not supported:
  + Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo and Memory Stick adapter are not compatible with the multiple digital media card slot. Do not insert the Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo into the slot. Data lost or damaged if you use one card other than those supported. +

BIOS inform me that pages is 1/2, but I couldn't pass by using PgUp PgDn to other pages.   I have improved my Elitebook 8460 to 2 x 4 GB DDR3 RAM 1600 S0DIMMS by Corsair. They work well and save things fortunately in Dual Channel Mode.

  But for some reason the RAM does not work at full Spec. I've not found in my stock all parameters memory BIOS. (F.61 Rev., updated)

  Strange thing, this is the timings are disabled as well. I don't really ask the cl9 here thing, but 800 mhz instead of 665 would be great.

  I'll provide screen shots and I hope you can tell me whats wrong with my ram!

  If you use the floppy recovery Lenovo that you shouldn't have to enter a key. The manufacturer disks set includes the embedded in the files issued specifically to Lenovo license key. If the installation routine asks for a key then it is not the game of the good disk. Manufacturer of charges are previously authenticated using privileged license and do not require activation of the line.

  Microsoft have not save which COA license is issued to each computer, they are provided to the manufacturer as a block and they apply to the label. In theory, Lenovo should be able to match key that was issued to this serial number, but in practice, few manufacturers will provide the information

  I'm refurbishing of a X 61 for a new user.  He was dealing tarnish - hinges were broken, so I sent to Lenovo and it seems like new.  I thought I would also put a Seagate SSHD inside - ST500LM000.

  I cloned the old drive to the new using Acronis image.

  Everything seemed to go well, except that I had to do a few iterations of startup repair when I started the machine with the new disk installed.

  However, after that, things went very strange: 1) when I tried to download any file in IE10 (windows 7 Enterprise, fully patched) by clicking on the resulting dialog box has nothing - I ran firefox to download any file.  (2) Windows update wouldn't - the wuauserv service did not work and cannot be started.  (3) Finally, the machine started to give warnings "not authentic."

  Since one of the patches for non-genuine was to do a upgrade install, I tried that - used 64-bit enterprise upgrade windows 7 and he suffered what appeared to be the entire installation and at the end says: Windows Setup cannot configure Windows to this material. "and restored.

  This can cause a number of issues with pre - SP1 Windows 7 and friends.  Even if you are in SP1, there is a Matrix Storage Manager version autour which can also cause problems.  The installation of your update was perhaps pre - SP1 support?

  A few things to try would be a MS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982018), rerun the SP1 update, try another Intel storage driver.  You may need to take one or all of these things _avant_ the op to clone.

• Memory running at a lower frequency

  I recently added 1 GB 667 DDR2 ram to my office, a1514in Pavilion (previously 1 GB 667 stick). But now the bios is show my DRAM frequency as 266 MHz (PC2-4200), these are the cases with different configs:

  -If I put only OLD stick of 1 GB 333 MHz (PC2-5300) show

  -If I put only NEW stick of 1 GB it will show 266 MHz (PC2-4200)

  -If I put both OLD & NEW 1 GB stick will show at 266 MHz (PC2-4200)

  Has also tried different machines slot but no use (I have only 2 slots and memory support for my system max is 2GB BIOS version 3.24)

  I am not able to understand what the problem is. In CPU - Z under the SPD, the two sticks are showing similar settings (I have not so good idea on these parameters). Please help me why the new RAM runs at a lower frequency... What should I do?

  According to the specifications of your motherboard RAM supported, speed isn't PC2-4200 and PC2-5300.
  
  Another thing, usually by mixing different RAM is a bad idea. The reasoning is that each RAM stick is intended to be run at a specific frequency, timings and voltage. If two sticks use different frequencies, timings, tensions that the BIOS will be all run the highest common denominator. In your case, that your new stick of RAM PC2-4200 and, therefore, the BIOS reads your second stick is run at the same speed for stability purposes.

  I think you need to use an external card reader. I bought a Kingston external card reader and it works fine.
