  • Vista 32-bit SP2 install 0x800b100 error message

Vista 32-bit sp2 will not install on my laptop. I keep recieveing TRUST_E_nosignature (0x800b100) error message. my laptop is an Acer Aspire 5720-4126 (5720z). also this could have something to do with windows defender not updated and does not as well? Please answer as soon as possible.

Microsoft today released the Checksur tool and one of the main advantage of the CheckSUR tool is that it contains updated files to help installation problems target Vista SP2. MS expects the tool to help troubleshoot Vista SP2 install error 0 x 80070490 0x800B0100.

You can get the last pieces of CheckSUR upward on the Down Load Center (DLC). For more information and links, see KB947821 .

  • Windows get '0 x 80246008' failure error message update, BITS 1290 error: 0x50a.

    Original title: windows update failed

When I try to install the updates I receive the error message 0 x 80246008. I tried to fix this error with the methods I found on microsoft on the bits service, but when I try to start the Background Intelligent Transfer Service I get the following message: could not start the service background Itelligent on local computer Transfer Service. Error 1290: 0x50a. I tried to find a solution to this error, but found nothing. It's going to stop using windows update.

    Hey beginner,.

It may be too late, but try this (I had the same problem):
Go to %WinDir%\inf in Explorer (which is usually C:\Windows\Inf) and search for qmgr.inf. Right-click, and then choose install. You will need the Windows installation disk, although if qmgr.dll is %WinDir%\System32 then you can potentially point to this file. Let the installation finish. At this point, the name of the service is again Intell... not melt @%any..., but it does not work yet.
Copy the settings of BITS ControlSet001 to CurrentControlSet key - installation INF does not create this key for a reason, or it does not for me to say.
Now, open a prompt, cd %WinDir%\System32 and run regsvr32 qmgr.dll. A pop up should tell you that the operation was successful.
Now you should be able to start the BITS service.
    I hope this can help,
    Morc.

It seems that if the CD is read correctly, but if I interpret your message right, you have problems to install the software.  And if the facts are that it is a product of 16 - bit and Vista is a 64-bit operating system, you won't be able to install it.  Support for older, 16-bit software was removed from Vista and Windows 7.  You would need to consider using a product such as Microsoft's Virtual PC or VirtualBox from Sun Microsystems virtualization to run - and if it were a game, same virtualization may not work.

  • Try to install FLAC Frontend in Windows 7 64 bit, but get error message

    Hello

Tried to install FLAC Frontend but get this error message...

The Module MSCOMCT2. OCX was loaded but the call to DllRagisterServer failed with the error 0x8002801c code.

I looked online and saw tips for Vista that said to try to run Setup in administrator mode.  I tried and failed with error

The module MSCOMCT2. OCX was not able to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified location or debug it to check for problems with the binary files or dependent.dll.  The module is not found.

Seen elsewhere on run CMD in administrator mode and typing in what follows - regsvr32 \windows\system32\MSCOMCT2. OCX - hit enter, but I get the same error message as I do run the installer in administrator mode.

I see some online have got it working using the method above, but it could be that I'm not because it is a 64-bit Windows 7 installation?

The file can be found here
