Black square in the upper right corner of the monitor
Windows works ok, very slow next day, I tried to planned it. A black screen appears in the upper right of the minitor. I can't remove it (looks like he wants to view webcam or continuous) but it shows nothing, blocks from the screen and I don't know what I've insisted on it to appear and cannot be removed, someone at - it ideas please

Method 1:
Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.
a. restart and keep tapping F8 until you reach the start option.
b. Select safe mode from the list and check if the problem still persists.
After safe mode, I suggest you perform a clean boot. Follow method 2.
Method 2:
Maybe the General information that runs on the system causes this problem. I suggest you do a clean boot and see if the problem is resolved.
a. log on to the computer using an account with administrator rights
b. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue
c. under the general tab, click Selective startup and then click to clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
d. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all
Note: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.
a. When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
b. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
c. under the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.
d. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
If the problem is solved, check which third-party program is causing the problem. For more information, see the article mentioned below.

Try typing the esc key when you start the laptop to see if it launches the Start Menu - if this is the case, use the arrow keys to select the Boot Menu, click on enter and then use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER again.

There is no bar to address, no error message or anything but the three icons in the upper right corner. The whole page is just a giant translucent square with three icons.
Hello MilaRowantree, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...
If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem. It would also be interesting what graphics hardware (description of the adapter, driver date and version of the driver) you use - you can access this information in firefox > help > correct information to the bottom of this page... I had a problem with some malware/adware software at the moment where I removed it, it had amended much of Firefox.
I managed to fix everything except the thumbnails of the sites frequently used on a new tab. I know that there should be a 3 x 3 grid in the upper right corner, but it does not show. How can I get this back, please?

Hit to swipe "slide to unlock" doesn't let me get into the iPad. After trying to swipe it just stops and the screen will Dim. In the upper right corner is also a symbol of halfpipe.
On the Slide to Unlock screen (but before swiping) try to drag the control center to the top of the bottom sliding upward. If the pipe is lit (bright) try turning it off to see if it helps...
If not try a Forced restart of the slide for... screen.
Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it rises. You won't lose anything.

Hi, I have a Blackberry Bold 9780 and yesterday I tried to connect to a WiFi network at home. I was able to connect to the WiFi network with success but it appeared a BB icon on the upper right corner of the home next to the WiFi icon screen. Since my 1st question, I have followed your instructions, my computer works so well and it turns faster as it did when I 1st got it. In any case, it's Saturday & I just got home and turned away and when I went on the start menu, I noticed this small black square in the menu with the words 'Command Prompt' next to the square. I clicked it and it opens as a small black w/white square letters coming from Microsoft Corp. All rights reserved. 2006 and the next line of a c:\Users\user>_ and the cursor blinking. Should I just leave that on the menu in case I have it use?
It of your choice, will not make a difference anyway. Windows stores most often/most recently used commands and puts them under the ORB start so that they are just a click away. It is an element of convenience only, and you can delete items here by right-clicking on them and selecting "remove from this list. This does not remove the program, just deletes the shortcut to the frequently used list.

Black square on the screen when the GPU is used?
Hey everybody.
Since I got my new computer, when I turn on the graphics processor, a black square appear and seem to block some of my screen. The problem may be solved by disabling the graphics processor, but it will limit what I do. IM using windows 10 64-bit and my graphics card is an asus 1080GTX.
