BlackBerry 8310 smartphones redefined and

Ive tried all the wipes and loading of the OS and the 8310 remains to be reset so

I hope to be a software problem and no material

Not a clue. Only a qualified technician (which I'm not) with it in their shop could possibly make such a diagnosis.

Good luck!

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphone of Smartphones (BB has been DEAD for upgrading applications that use the Device Manager)

Hello, recently I wanted to install an application but got an error message saying AJAX is not supported on your platform - after checking the forums on this site, I found that I need to upgrade to 4.5.X and for that I downloaded from this site the "8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel52_PL2.7.0.55_A4.5.0.37 [1].

When I connect the device to the computer, I got the message from device manager asking if I want to upgrade applications to current version,

I did it-but suddenly during the upgrade process, my blackberry is turned off and since impossible to turn it on again, it looks like my smart phone is completely dead! There's just a red light on the top flashing...

That's all just amazing, because I have no idea why this happened because I used this official site and Device Manager was the one I downloaded from this site for 8310 Smartphone

  • BlackBerry 8310 smartphones adding languages

I am trying to add a language to a 8310. When I run the application loader, I can not get the list of the Basic applications to blackberry, which usually appears and allows you to choose additional languages. All I get is a list of additional applications, I installed (such as google maps). How can I get a list of the original blackberry applications to update?

I took the opportunity to upgrade to 4.5 and I added the (Hebrew) language during installation. Thank you!

  • BlackBerry 8310 smartphones - shut off ALL 10 seconds when no charging current!

I just got my 8310 last night and have realized that it needed to load. After spending 20 minutes with him, he has FINALLY decided to start charging * idk why it would not be fair at all, but at least now it don't *.

So I wake up today * Saturday * and I noticed it works much better, but when it is plugged into my computer, the screen turns off, a red light appears * where the Green charge light, or light yellow of charge is displayed *, and one of two things happen when I press the ball in:

    A. completely closed off and alternately, with the hourglass, which takes about 2-5 minutes so that he could do something * usually this one *.

    B. it comes back to what I was doing

I've tried everything! The only thing I can't do is to call Tech support * something that need a subscription account, or something? *. As I said earlier, I JUST bought the phone within this week and had not yet opened it since late last night.

    Thank you for your time

Edit: I forgot to add this: the battery is ENTIRELY yellow * that he is completely reloaded... right? * then... Yes.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphone image flight question

Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum and Blackberry phones. I got a Blackberry 8310, which has a software version 4.5.0.182, I will use only for purposes of media, as she had AT & T and I have verizon on my phone, so I could not use it anyway (so much), and I'm trying transfersome photos of his children from the phone to my pc self can email they to him. Now here are the pictures that she took with the phone, and I put a sd card, but couldn't understand how to transfer these pictures. from the phone to the card! In addition, there are some pictures of my friends on the map, and it seems that somewhere they had transferred to the phone, I know because when I removed the card and put it in my laptop, they were gone! but they are on the phone. I installed the latest version of Blackberry Desktop that has the makings of media, as well as the USB Blackberry driver. Can I use this software to get these pictures from the Blackberry to my laptop?

    Thank you

    -DDAYMEN

As soon as you open the BB Desktop Manager, you will see the Media Manager. If you have not used before, it will have you set up Roxio to manage all media for your BB.

I don't him have not used it myself, but I've played with him and it seemed pretty easy to use.

When in doubt, read the 'Help' section in the Media Manager, it should tell you how to do it.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphones import contact issues.

Hello, I had some problems with my 8310 for the last 9 hours or more. First of all, I'm trying to import my contacts from a csv file into the 8310 using the BlackBerry Desktop Management software. I tried these steps, even if they were terribly wrong. I found here: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11194&slic...

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and double-click Intellisync. (I still saw nothing that reads Intellisync.)
    3. In the Intellisync® window, click Configure PIM. (Again it is Intellisync with another unknown word PIM)
    4. Select the address book check box, and then click Choose.
    5. Select ASCII import/export , and then click export.
    6. Click Browse and enter BlackBerry.csv for the name of the file. This will create the BlackBerry.csvfile.
    7. Click Open. When you are prompted with the message that this file does not exist, click Yes.
    8. In the section select Application, click OK, and then click OK in the Configuration.
    9. Click on Synchronize now. This will create the CSV file with the field mapping to add contacts.
    10. Add the contact to the CSV file and repeat step 4.
    11. Select ASCII Import/Export , and then click import.
    12. Click Synchronize now. This important contact with the CSV file to the BlackBerry device.

So what I got to do is the following.

    1. Click on synchronize
    2. Menu left click on sync
    3. Click Sync out next to "configure my sync for my office program settings.
    4. Check the address book.
    5. Click Setup
    6. Exporting importing ASCII > next
    7. One-way synchronization device< ascii="">
    8. Then, I put the options delimited by commas and quotes (I don't know what it is)
    9. Next > finish > Ok
    10. Then I click on synchronize in the left menu.
    11. Check the synchronize Organizer data. And click on synchronize.
    12. It works for a second and gives me the following:

    "Error Code 0 x 80040057 check Documentation.

    System specs

    Windows 7 Build 7100.

    Intel Core 2 e5200

    2 GB of Ram

    ASUS P5KPL-CM

I'm so lost and so frustrated with this thing, it's unreal.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Problem solved! I figured out that the header of the csv file was not fair. They must have a header of category on them. You can do this:

    1. export to a csv data file you want to import your old software
    2. Adding one of the elements of data to your blackberry
    3. export data from blackberry to csv format
    4. copy old data first to the new file csv file properly formatted CSV of blackberry.

I repeat if you have this error Error Code 0 x 80040057 check the Documentation. Is your solution.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphones downloaded / installed apps does not

    Nice day

I have searched these forums but impossible to get answers to my problem. I have a 8310 and vodafone, is my service provider.

When I download apps for my phone via OTA or install it with the Desktop Manager that they aren't there. They show options - advanced options - applications, but there is no icons anywhere to be found. I looked in all my files, taken from the battery while the phone is turned on (about 50 times), slapped around, removed and resettled nothing application.

When I go to the options screen/keyboard - left or right convenience key side opens: and look under applications there do not appear I installed the application. This isn't on the phone? But in Applications, it shows that it is installed?

When I installed google maps, it worked 100%, BB maps-nothing, yahoo messenger 100%, windows live messenger 100%, blackberry messenger - nothing, application Center-nothing, nothing, facebook, twitter, nothing, a few games with the Desktop Manager 100%, file alx desktop manager-nothing, gmail app 100% facebook, google app 100%

If anyone can give me some advice on this I would REALLY appreciate it.

My wife has the 8300 on the same network as me and she has no problem in the installation of the new application at all.

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the answers 1000

In my quest to find answers, I came across this thread on blackberry forums. So if anyone has never struggles or is faced with this type of questions, your prayers is answered.

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-BlackBerry-discussion/92324-no-BlackBerry-Messenger-your-OS-...

Until the OS 4.2 Blackberry Messenger application is an optional download. Simply, you went to the website of your BB Blackberry and downloaded. However, beginning with the 4.2 OS, RIM has decided to consolidate demand in the standard operating system package and it preinstall with each device. If for any reason the version gets removed from the Blackberry site download will not work. The app will install but will not be displayed on the device. Here are the instructions complete to properly install/reinstall BBMessenger to your device if you've never used the Application loader in the front Office Manager.

    Handheld OS 4.1 and below:
If your device is running OS 4.1 and then simply download BBMessenger version 1.0.94 OTA to www.blackberry.com/messenger

    Handheld OS 4.2 and above:

The download above on the Blackberry site is not compatible with handhelds running OS 4.2 and above. The Blackberry Messenger application is already installed with the operating system and should already be on your device.

However, if the application is removed for any reason any and you need to reinstall BBMessenger on your 4.2 device, follow the instructions below. If you try to download and install the OTA version to 4.2 Pocket PC it will install ok but will not display an icon anywhere on the device. However, it will be displayed in the list of applications in Options > Advanced Options.

Note: before you begin, if you have already downloaded the OTA version and cannot find it on your 4.2 device then uninstall this version by going to Options > Advanced Options > Applications and remove Blackberry Messenger v1.0.94.

    BBMessenger installation for the 4.2:

    1. determine your specific version of the OS by looking into Options > topic.

    2. download and install the latest Desktop Manager 4.2 to here.

    3. go into your carrier OS upgrade site and download and install the matching version of the operating system on your PC. Operating system upgrade sites are here. Note: If you have already installed the OS or the bones of another carrier to your PC then of course, you can skip this step. If a more recent OS is listed then continue with these instructions and you will get a new updated operating system upgraded at the same time. If you just install the BBMessenger and not do an upgrade only takes a few moments. However, the complete upgrade process can take up to an hour and will show a spinning hourglass on the device up to 20 minutes at a time during the process. Do not get impatient and unplug the unit until it has done during an upgrade of the OS.

4 plug in the appliance and open the Desktop Manager. Run the Application Loader. You should see a list of applications installed with checkboxes next to them. Check the box "Blackberry Messenger". Then just press Next, finish, etc. to load the application on the Blackberry.

When you are finished you should have successfully reinstalled Blackberry Messenger on your device. Generally, it appears on the home screen or in the Applications folder. BBM' happy ing.

    It worked 100%

Just to add (when upgrading your operating system), there is no need to download a newer version of the Desktop Manager, because you will only use it to make a backup of your phone. Before doing the backup, delete applications "disappeared".

How to upgrade the operating system on my BlackBerry?

1 remove the older operating system to your PC by going to control panel > add/remove programs.

    2. download and install the new version of the operating system.

    3. install the new operating system to the computer by running (double click) the downloaded file .

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

    5. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    And voila

    All missing applications will appear

  • BlackBerry 8310 smartphones DOES NOT RECOGNIZE the CARD 8 GB SANDISK

OK gang, not quite the same problem as everyone discussed.  I have a 8310 with ATT. on 4.2.2.170.  I just installed a Sandisk 8 Gb card that I bought and received yesterday.  I installed thinking it would immediately recognize 4 GB based on what I read in various expert comments and responses, but in the Media Manager, it seems not to recognize at all.  Cannot transfer images or files on him.  so, is that what I did something wrong?  My BB showed a message asking if I want to turn on the media card, and I answered YES.

Any help would be appreciated, as always!  Thanks in advance!

Do yu have a card reader for your PC that you can use to read the card?

If this is not the case, go to MEDIA CARD MENU KEY FORMAT OPTIONS.

If you have the possibility to use the PC.

Make sure you have the following folders on the card:

    BlackBerry

    music

    photos

    ringtones

    vidieos

    VoiceNotes

This is where the BB get the associated files.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphone memory card?

2 months ago, I bought a card SanDisk 4 Gb HC to my local ATT store (my provider is ATT). The map recently failed and the said shop SanDisk does not recommend using their HC cards in Blackberry phones, and therefore they (after an initial runaround) provided a refund.

Not knowing what 4 GB card to buy, I went to the local electronic store bought a 2 GB card cheap on sale.

I would like to have more space. Y at - it a specific 4 GB card that someone could recommend? Alternatively, a 8 GB card when I update to 4.5 (not yet available)?

Thank you. I ordered a SanDisk 8 GB card from an online retailer, whose name appears on the map as being compatible with a BB 8310. The cost of 2 GB and 8 GB is less than the credit I received the Bank of ATT.

    Thank you!

Without doubt, I should mention that some of my problems with my BB was a sufficient case, which allowed my phone to fall to about 50 times. Today I bought a new case and ATT has replaced the phone because the trackball was bad. So, if all goes well, the new phone and the memory card will work.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphone "unknown usb device".

When I got to my curve 8310 AT & t I installed the software on my pc and for several weeks, everything worked fine, now all of a sudden I get an error "unknown usb device".  I tried to uninstall the software, remove the battery, everything else I could think of.  The "retarded" to AT & T is that there is no help nor their web support. Now when I plug my phone to my pc after receiving the error, the media manager is says no device connected, when I try the find your device option he finds nothing.  The Device Manager on my pc displays "unknown device" plugged into the usb port.  I also tried all the usb ports on my pc.  can someone help me?

Hi and welcome to the forums,

I'm sorry to say that it is gone. BlackBerry does not have this service.

  • Battery faulty BlackBerry Blackberry Curve Smartphones 9360 and software now corrupted

    I have a Blackberry Curve 9360

Problem started as - battery discharged charge for nothing and switched phone off when you use the browser or a camera.

Phone calls / Email / BBM / SMS ok

Said to try the software update via Blackberry Desktop Manager

Tried it on my laptop but it loaded all company settings and restrictions that use my company (British Telecom)

This included the removal of Blackberry App world and most of my apps

O2 has forced me to make a back up

    Security wiped the phone

This has removed the browser icon

App world and Apps are still reported missing, but they are visible when you look at the applications installed via Options / device / application management

E-mail accounts are displayed when you use the wizard, he accepts the passwords and then fails to remember passwords and takes you back through the new assistants

Is there a way to do a full format of the phone and to start from scratch as doing the wipe of security is obviously not enough to remove restrictions of business who have been responsible for Blackberry App World

As I've been flooded with assistance I edge of Googling.

I backed up contacts / calendar to Outlook

copied the photos / videos / music to help drag and drop through my documents / my computer

And then restored to factory settings.

Some sites say that for this you go in Options/Security/security wipe, but that erases all your data and not the software (which in this case was corrupted)

Factory reset is now pushed 3 buttons at the same time Alt / aA (right symbol) / del

Then Yes, you lose all the preferences / set ups and must use the browser for Blackberry App World once again, i.e. Once loaded, all applications you used to have must be in the view "uninstalled" from Blackberry App World / My World.

After all this, I thought that much, it seems, as battery problem has been resolved, an hour later he died.

My partner has offered to lend me his battery, when we change places I noticed my battery was marginally more roughly in the Middle, mmm battery certainly at its release, the time for a new.

next problem is then to the place to buy, many of those cheap on ebay, but necessarily false/second hand, oh well, keep looking.

    Good bye
