  • How Smartphones blackBerry App World research work?

    Hello!

I realized that the only way to appear in the results of the research is with words app name.

It does not matter what is your description or a brief description, words on behalf of the application are taken into account.

This means that you can not name your app with only a 'name' as it will not be shown by search terms.

    I am a true?

It's ugly! I have apps that must be found by keywords and I can't put them not all in the name.

It would be very useful to have a field of keywords on the application settings.

Your results are correct, that the search only currently works on the title of the app.

I was talking to one of the AppWorld reps to BlackBerry 10 Jam on this subject and AppWorld similar questions.

for example, I was looking to download ' MorphWiz -play' but I don't remember that the app name contained the word 'play' so I looked on this... several hundred applications related Nations United came because many apps themselves labeled as "something for BlackBerry playbook.

As BlackBerry 10 will work many of the apps currently in AppWorld for the PlayBook... the additional 'suffix' in 'for the BlackBerry PlayBook"will become misleading and innaccurate.  The representative stated that there are several changes coming to this address... as well as research in general.

Read between the lines, I understand that current research on the title was only due to many developers using "keyword stuffing" in their descriptions of the app, which once again made useless search results.

As to what the "next" search strategy is exactly... I don't know... but I like it to be something like:

    1. Strip the suffix on all applications that are ' "something for BlackBerry PlayBook
    2. Change the search to face both the app title and description
    3. Weigh the results such as the matches in the title are higher than these games in the description
    4. As is currently... matches for applications with both 'A' AND 'Keyword B' weigh more than results that match on 'keyword to' GOLD "keyword B"... it is important that it is not lost when you enable research descriptions

At the same time, it would be nice to try to manage the keyword stuffing issue as well... I don't know if this should be done when approving the app (for example to remove obvious joke) or descriptions on the motion of the AppWorld... where descriptions stuffed with low-grade keywords... for example stop game/abuse of the system.

  • PhoneGap Blackberry App doesn't work for ajax, gives 500 Internal Server Error calls

Hi all, I have developed an application that off a call ajax to the server aspx page.

The call fails when I'm the trigger through the public IP address, but even works fine when triggered by a local IP address.

The aspx page works very well when it is called by the browser, the question is when ajax call is made from the app.

Everything works fine on Android versions and iOS Apps with the same code.

The configuration file also has access origin defined at all (*)

    $.ajax({)

LINK: URL OF THE ASPX PAGE.

    type: 'POST',

    processData : true.

    data : {params},.

    cross-domain: true,

    error: function (result)

    {alert (result.status + "" + result.statusText);},

    successful operation:

    "function (Data) {alert ("success") ;}});

    Please help, thanks

do white list all URLS for Ajax calls. the accessible areas via Ajax must be explicitly whitelist.

I downloaded a game app in the Blackberry App Center, which worked very well. A few days later, I downloaded another application requiring a reboot of the system. 1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
    2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
    3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.
    4. Use the link to user guide AppWorld above for re - install the app - then predict a new activation/registration key

  • BlackBerry.app.Event - working with iFrames / HTMLObjectElement

    Hello

I have a problem with the combination of the use of Iframes or the HTMLObjectElement with any kind of blackberry.app.events. (onForegound / onBackground / onSwipeDown/etc.).

In the Simulator waving all works well, but when I test on the PlayBook the event fires only once before as I have work with the iFrame (event click etc.). After the interaction, the event is no longer in effect.

I guess that after the interaction with the iFrame, the event fires to the iFrame page and not to the parentpage.

    The code examples here:

    Of config.xml

Of index.html - the swipemenu in the examples (not published)
