BlackBerry blackBerry 10 cards and cards calendar default app

Hello

To be polite, BlackBerry Maps aren't in the mission and is no match for Google Maps. Triwd just to find a place of meeting with her in London and... produces terrible.
Now, I can not find anywhere how to set the default maps apps on Google or any other applications. Maybe the simple answer is that blackberry does not allow it as a measure of protection of the product.

Hi @ilanm

Thanks for your comments!

Now change the value default Maps app is not possible when you use BlackBerry 10.

  • BlackBerry App investigating the classic BlackBerry, T-Mobile and the WiFi calling app

I am looking for on this forum after being (possibly) achieved through BlackBerry World (located here, so you can make reference to what I'm going to talk: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/35524900 ) this app is marked as 'BlackBerry Lmtd' being the developer, that's why it is implicit that BlackBerry updates to this app and is responsible for its support. I am at this point, after trying (for weeks) to find how this whole process of WiFi calling went down, I was told by T-Mobile at the level executive response that BlackBerry was next to insider support. In its current form the above application currently supports only prior 2 BB10 peripheral T-Mobile, the Q10 and Z10. Despite the classic hit the shelves of T-Mobile, despite the fact that T-Mobile as well as the TWO classic BlackBerry supports WiFi called, it seems to come down to this app gets an update. I write here wondering if there is information about the status of this application as well as the support with regard to devices. Will be it be updated to include the classic? Is this a known issue? Is this really T-Mobile app? Just anything, any kind of transparency or tiny tidbit of information be always so would appreciate! If anyone has information or can better direct me on where to take my survey, I am more than happy to wait for your answers! Thank you for your time.

That's the beauty of this site... we do not work for carriers, nor for the BB. So, we can be truly independent and share more that they would be allowed to share. But, keep in mind that everything we know is therefore not official (unless it is a public site, such as the database of BB KB). We are sure that we are right on these points, but being not "in it", we can't know with 100% certainty.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • Smartphones blackBerry in Israel and the phone said App World is not available in my country

Hello, I just bought a new Blackberry Bold 9700 in Israel, and the phone tells me that app World is not available in my country. I hope Blackberry plans to fix it soon as the i-phone and androids are open here to their app worlds. Anyway, is there a way I can download apps without AppWorld? Otherwise it was the biggest waste of money ever - without the Smartphone applications are not so different from cheap phones, and blackberries just shouldn't be sold here if the services are not available.

If I go to America download while I'm there? and apps stays on my phone when I go back to Israel?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Please check this page to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements (including if it is available in your country):

If it is available in your country and you feel you meet the requirements at the level of the device, and then contact your provider to make sure you meet the requirements of the plan (to them) access (via their network) service to AppWorld.

In addition, AppWorld is currently accessible only through your corporate data network - WiFi is not used for access to AppWorld under any circumstances.

Further still, you should know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

Finally, understand that RIM has no unilateral control over the availability of AppWorld. On the contrary, a triad of entities must agree - RIM, wireless service provider, and Government. As the main entity to profit in this triad, I've always suspected that the RIM is not one that could hinder the process.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS messages.

    Hello

typical - just that I was looking to upgrade, I get the following message on my Torch 9800:

"BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS. »

There is a lot of space on the card in the device memory and press. I have deleted many texts and have removed the battery (several times), but the error keeps coming back.

I am able to text but can't seem to receive - although copies of text messages that I send continue to be saved. I'm having no problem with other forms of e-mail (for example, WhatsApp, Twitter).

I looked at 3465 Knowledge Base, which advises to uncheck the option "Leave Messages on SIM card", but this has been disabled throughout. (I checked it and saved out of curiosity, which allowed me to receive text only test that I then just sent myself, but after the error message is returned and no other text would come through...) I came back to this area being disabled).

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

When you say you deleted text messages, how have you deleted and how do you think that you have?

I suggest making a backup with BB Desktop Software. Then, you can use it to do a selective removal of just the basis of message text and see if you can receive messages after that. If you did the backup you can always restore text messages on the device if you want to, although he will crush all new messages on the device.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Media Sync and Media card for Storm

    Hello

I have Storm (9500) and I tried a few hours transfer photos from my card to my PC media. Whenever I connect to Media Sync with my Storm, I get a message saying my device is not recognized and to ensure that the card is inserted correctly etc.

Here's what I did and I still got the same message.

Supported media card and reinserted it

Out of the battery and reinserted it

    on all parameters (memory Options)

Auto enable mass Sttorage Mode when connected is set to Yes

Tried to connect to all the USB ports on the PC (I have 4)

    PC OS is Windows 7

I checked all possible updates on BlackBerry (office, device and Media Sync) software, I have a completely storm in terms of software updates.

So, if someone has experienced this problem and how do you propose fixing?

    Thank you

The BlackBerry needs to be on to connect to the computer in mass storage.

If you have tried the fix while the unit has been turned off, you can run with the BlackBerry under tension.

Let me know how it works

  • BlackBerry 10 Z10 does not synchronize contacts and calendar - Google Apps and Gmail

    Dear Sirs,

I am train back to use blackberry as my mobile platform by default and so I chose Z10.

The point is that I am facing problems to sync my contacts and calendar with my Gmail and Google Apps accounts. I already tried to add accounts in several ways (by default, Gmail, Microsoft Exchange Active Sync), but without success. Just email is syncing with the failure of Gmail.

    System was updated to 10.2.1

I am a blackberry lover and was trying to leave the Android platform. Please could someone help me?

    Thank you and best regards!

Your result from step 1 is exactly as planned... the built-in Wizard GMail via IMAP, which is used for email only. To add the calendar or contacts to an IMAP configuration, you must separately configure CalDav or Mac OS x Server.

Your result, however, in step 2 should not... it is indeed the exact method to integrate a Google Apps account with BB10 device, as long as you continued this process and fill in all the mandatory fields (server name, port, account information, etc.). Carefully note please that unless you are a subscriber to pay Google Apps, this method will not work for you unless you have previously configured it on the exact device on that you are trying to configure. Google has stopped support for free consumer EAS accounts some time previously and only allows such accounts for free on devices that have been previously configured before when they stopped this support. For any new device, only real paying subscribers of Google Apps can use EAS with Google... all others are limited (by Google) to IMAP/Mac OS x Server/CalDav.

    Good luck!

  • Calendar default to change of blackBerry Smartphones

I get e-mail messages concerning the posst on Facebook on my Curve 9300 and the default device, Facebook for creating new appointments in the calendar.  I don't want default Facebook and I don't need the Facebook calendar to all.  How can I change this?

    Do two things.

    • Open your Facebook account for Blackberry applications, press the Menu key > Options.
    • Scroll down to "Integrate with BlackBerry calendar" and uncheck the box and disable that.
    • Now on your BlackBerry, go to your list of Options > Advanced > default Services.
    • Change the calendar default to one of your e-mail accounts, not Facebook.
  • Changing Smartphone blackBerry media card

IM changing my 2 GB card for a 16 GB media and I want to transfer everything to the new media card, but I want it in the same order. is this possible?

    Hello

Through the device, not really. Through your computer, absolutely. Your choice is:

    Mass storage mode:

    • KB11879 What is the mass storage mode
    • KB13564 How to enable or disable the mode on the smartphone BlackBerry mass storage.
    • KB29523 How to manually transfer files between a BlackBerry smart phone and a Windows computer
    1. With your 'old' in your BB card, copy everything on your computer
    2. Set up your 'new' card
    3. Format the 'new' card in the BB
    4. Copy the text from the computer to the 'new' card

Use of an adapter of your computer card reader:

    1. Remove your 'old' your BB card
    2. Use the card reader and copy the text from the old card to your computer
    3. Insert the new card into the BB
    4. Format the new card with the BB
    5. Remove the new card of the BB
    6. Use the card reader and copy the text from the computer on the new map
    7. Put the new card in the BB

    Good luck!

  • Smartphones blackBerry Media card content security

I have the Blackberry 8220 flip, and I have a microSD card of 1 GB with tons of music, photos and videos that I am able to view when I open the "MULTIMÉDIA" option in the menu!

The problem is that like everyone else, I have some pictures and videos on there that I don't want others to see if they enter my phone trying to be curious. I don't want my content is accessiable once they click on the media category.

For example: I click on images and it shows ALL my pictures I have on my card immediately without giving me options of folder to the choice as my use of Nokia to do, even though I have set up different folders I organised on my card from my computer it just displays everything and I'm not like that.

I know that when I'm in the photos section, I can click on 'PHOTO FILES' and it will show me all my files that I can browse. But if I hit 'All IMAGES', it shows exactly what... ALL MY * beep * PHOTOS!

When Im in the 'VIDÉO' section, it does not give me what options so that never, it just list all the * beep * videos I have on my card, which again, I don't like!

To summarize all of this, so I need to know what is the best way for me to protect the contents of my media card to be visible just by clicking on 'VIDÉOS' OR 'PHOTOS '.  As I can password protect my 'VIDEOS' or 'PHOTOS', or is there a way to ask me to put a password before displaying all my content and I don't mean the device password as when I lock my keyboard, because it is simply not the answer I'm looking for, I need to know how to set a password to ask whenever I want to specifically access all media available on my card.

I was playing and found what you are looking for, when you click on the media, enhance photos, click on the menu, you will see help to view, explore, receiver using blue tooth option, ect... click on options, scroll to exclude folders, check the folder that you want to not view, and then save.  to display the hidden folder, click menu, and then click on explore, you will see all the folders with the hidden, even to the video folder...

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones initialization of a 330 of SafeNet via the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader

    Hello

I managed to use my PC BlackBerry smart card reader. Now, I am trying to initialize a smart card SafeNet 330 with SafeNet BSEC from the PC tool. But everything I do the initialization fails.

Has anyone been initialized properly a card in this way by the BlackBerry smart card reader?

I suspect a problem with the drive, why I'll try to find my Gemplus400 player and see if it works.

    Thank you

    Chris

Using the player of Gemplus400 did the trick. Looks like the BlackBerry SCR reader stumbles on the configuration of the password during initialization of the as it does not define the label successfully.

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones: vs email calendar default device

I'm new to the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I use Microsoft Outlook for my calendar. I have an email address to which I've implemented on the Blackberry. However, this email address doesn't have a calendar that are associated with (and I don't want it...). The calendar application has therefore all appointments under "Default device".

On the home screen, it shows not all appointments at all. However, when I go in the calendar app it shows all my appointments. I've selected the menu button, choose 'Select Calendar' and then choose "Default device" because the calendar is not associated with the email address.

When I go back to the home screen it still has nothing set appointments. I assume he's still associate the calendar with the email address. I do know that not everyone uses the calendar provided with e-mail addresses, right?

Also, when in the application calendar, after selecting "Default device", if I try to add an appointment he will add it to the calendar with the email address and not the "default device" calendar that I use with Outlook. If I need to open another post on this topic please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK, here's what you need to do...

    1. download ALL your calendar in Outlook information. Make sure your correct calendar.

    2. then, basically, you will remove ALL your calendar on the BlackBerry information according to the instructions I'll post below.

    3. then, you set the address you want to see your calendar 'default' by the statement in the post above.

Then, everything should be good. I have been facing the problem while you are now and had to do all this as well. Painless.

(ignore the words 'AddressBook' in these instructions for you, but it all works the same).

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I want just that my BlackBerry to crush all contacts and events calendar

Curiously, before 10.6.1 PocketMac works beautifully: my BlackBerry is my gospel for all contacts, and all events.  I would regularly synchronize it with my G4 to keep my MAC and then update to sync my iPhone with my Mac.  Certainly not the most elegant of the methods, but it worked perfectly for me.

Now then - is anyway to put the new software RIM of simply replacing the MAC (iCal and address book) with data already on the BlackBerry?  I don't want a two-way synchronization: I don't want to "Replace all the contacts on this smart phone BlackBerry."  What I want is the antithesis of this command.

The calendar option seems to be able to do, but not the Contacts?

Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated.

    Theo

    Studio City, CA

Hmmm... well - I myself have solved sort (but only for the calendar) and I have to keep on my toes on where I get stuff.

I created a NEW calendar in iCal (empty of course) and said RIM software to sync ONLY to this calendar and everything went very well. Then I resynched my iPhone and iTunes says to only use the NEW calendar that now appears on the list of calendars.  I also changed the settings on the iPhone to make the new test calendar default view now.

But since this is a two-way synchronization I always update the BlackBerry and never update the iCal calendar to keep both abreast (and keep the BB as the main source and do not have the mini infiltrate MAC the BB data).

As my calendar dates are much more dynamic it works fine.  I'm always suspicious to do it for the address book and because changes to these entries are not too frequent I will put those manually (once, certainly NOT what I wanted to do, but it will suffice for now).
