BlackBerry Blackberry Smartphones defective - urgent issues please until it goes back

Hello world

My trackerball is faulty on my 8100 pearl, so Orange are sending me a replacement BB tomorrow. I need to transfer my numbers to my SIM card (stupid, I know that I should have done in the first place!) if anyone can help me with the following questions:

  1. How can I copy all my contacts from my phone to my SIM card at one time? (I know that I'll probably lose all the additional info that I add to each contact such as email)
  2. If I back up everything on my computer, do I ask Outlook to do, as I did not have this at home - can I just save everything in a folder?
  3. For future issues I want to add to my address book, how can I do this by default for the numbers to go to SIM card?
  4. Finally! Where are my text messages stored - on my phone or my SIM card?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Ragamuffin

  1. You can copy in bulk from SIM-> BlackBerry, not vice versa. So copy of BlackBerry-> SIM must be done at once. If you have a gmail account, you can use their Google Mobile App to sync your address book with the address book from Gmail wireless.
  2. You can download the Desktop Manager and use it is the functionality of backup and restore to back up all the data on the BlackBerry. It stores the information in an IPD file on your computer. If you get a new device you can restore the info of the IPD file on the new device. Alternatively, you can use Switch Device Manager Desktop Assistant to transfer information between BlackBerry
  3. The addresses will always be saved in the device memory.
  4. Text messages are also stored in the device memory.

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones / Device Manager issue

Hey guys, I have a problem.

I recently acquired a Blackberry 8330 and let me start by saying this: it's one of the best machines I've ever held. It is simply amazing.

I installed the Device Manager and have been using it without any problem. Then, I went and did an update wireless with my phone, the upgrade of the OS. Since I did this, however, the Manager has recently stopped recognizing my device - my computer recognizes him again, as he charges when it is plugged in and I can always access to the hard drive, but for some reason, I cannot use the Device Manager to do anything - down, States in the Device Manager there is no trendy Black Berry as shown by the 'None' exposed next to the Pin number.

What can I do? I really need to access blackberry via the Device Manager. Someone, please help > _

    Things I've tried:

-Restart the Blackberry (both by pressing the red button and pull the battery and re insert)

-Update the device to the more recent version Manager

-The latest version is uninstalled, then download and install the version provided with the blackberry (4.2)

I noticed that the CD that came with the device itself does not contain the most recent edition of the Device Manager, if that means anything. It's just weird that the Device Manager has stopped working after I upgraded. Currently, my OS is V4.5.0.175. I've recently updated both my 8310 Black Berry - same question parents. Before, I could access it via Device Manager. Now, I can't. Please help me!

I have a BB Torch 9800 OS V.6.0 which I was happy with since he in 2011 but I recently downloaded the latest version of the PC software on my desktop for windos XP.

The last indicicated of version V.7.0 I downloaded and connected my torch to the PC with the cable of data required.

Since then, my phone has crashed once the software update has been installed and now I am unable to use the phone for any other purpose other than to make a simple phone call. MyBattery does not last a few hours and the hourglass keeps popping up that is more fustrationg.

Virgin Media have gently tried to help me with all the resets, destruction etc and no success at all. I am so disappointed by the loss of my Mobile I never want too be an another BB again.

It's my last chance to redeem any sort of satisfaction to recover my phone tORCH 9800.

    Decommissioning of the BONE...

    Hello

the best way to level or decommissioning is google your model BB

and download the most recent available o/s.

It should not be your provider, you can use the o/s of any carrier you like.

-install the DM and the operating systems on your PC

-Download BBsak and install on your PC

-backup your BB twice using DM, in case one of them is corrupted.

-Start BBsak and choose 'Clear the unit', wait until you get the error 507

-go to my computer - local disk C - program files - common files - Research In Motion-

    Apploader and delete Vendor XML

-Double-click Loader and just install the new operating system

-Once her fact, reboot the BB, then using DM to restore your back up

    -fact!

    Hi sharkbait1

Regarding the decommissioning of the OS, you can try these simple steps:

    1. Locate and download the OS you want to leave here, BlackBerry software download Site

    • (Make sure you download for the same model you have)

    2. double-click on the file downloaded to install it on your PC

    3. download and install the latest version of BlackBerry desktop by BlackBerry desktop software software

    • Then using software office perform your full backup of your device.

    4. search for your C: drive for any file Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml (on your PC, change your records option to show hidden files / folders):

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    5. go into C:\Program Files Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For Vista or Windows 7 64-bit, the path will be C: > Program Files x 86 > common files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double-click on Loader.exe.

Downgarde will continue then after Installation of the new OS restore your backup using BlackBerry desktop

    Software.

    _______________________________________

As you have already downloaded the OS pack then you can skip steps # 1 and continue with the rest. But please note don't install multiple OS pack on your PC, if you have any other pack OS install in another PC so you use then uninstall it.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can someone help please?

up to a few days a go, I was able to surf the web and send/receive surveys bbm so I was on the phone, I contacted blackberry and they said to contact my service provider, so I did it and then we me contact blackberry once again, so I don't have all the answers. There is nothing wrong with my phone while I'm not in a call, but it's a nice feature to receive surveys bbm so I was in a call, I reset my whole phone and I'm still not having any luck can someone help me please?

3G or WiFi is the only service on this device which will allow the data at the same time as a phone call.  There's no other way.

Hello and welcome to the community!

You really need get in Mode safe mode again so that you can reload your operating system. You would have gotten lucky that first time with the right timing on the keystrokes... Keep train... I remember it taking a lot try until I'm a model to go properly in Mode without failure.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Recieving duplicate emails, please help!

    Hey,.

I thought I found how to solve this problem, but I do not think!

I had a BlackBerry "BOLD" (never locked) as a gift during a stay in the UNITED Arab Emirates. I recorded for their services and set up my email by phone account (prohibits the company, its never locked).

I came back to the Canada and subscribed to the services of BB with my ISP (Rogers). I had deleted the email from my phone and added it but now I seem to get duplicates of all my messages from my Gmail account!

Based on what I've read online, apparently my PIN needs to be released or something, but how to fix this? I hate having to receive 2 emails all the time, it's boring.

Help, please. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I would like to add that even when I delete my email through setting up account, I still receive emails on my Blackberry (and a single email). It seems that it is interconnected with my blackberry. How can I get rid of this?

  • BlackBerry smartphone error has occurred please try again 'question '.

I recently had a blackeberry curve 9300 a month previously, but I have not downloaded anything yet everytime I try this error message comes, sucks I changed my password several times, always the same.

Again, the EXACT wording of the error message is the only way in which the search for solutions can be useful. You just re-posted the same thing you already have posted, that ISN'T the exact syntax of the error message. Therefore, I now have to guess... and here's what I think is:

    • KB25882 "An error has occurred. "Please try again later" is displayed when the user tries to access BlackBerry App World

    Good luck

  • Browser blackBerry Smartphones does not work, please help.

I have had my Blackberry for about a month and a half.  For the first weeks, the browser worked fine and everything was great.  But now, the browser does not work.  My email, twitter, facebook, etc. all are still working fine, but can not access anything through the browser.  Does anyone know why this might be?  I know that I have to take it to the company store, but I live in a Spanish speaking country and don't speak much Spanish.

    Thanks for any help!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then please provide delicate symptoms of what's going on... "does not" isn't really we give good to go. Is there an error message any?

    Thank you!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones simple, simple instructions please

I am not techinical so be very clear with all the instructions. Two months ago, I received my new Z10 business of Blackberry and my Blackberry "BOLD" has been removed in a drawer. I've just realized that there are pictures on my Blackberry "BOLD" that would be fantastic for a report I am and now I can't get the Blackberry "BOLD" for putting on even after I charged the device. Any suggestions?

    Hi @tina-murphy

If the photos are on a media card in your "BOLD", you can remove and insert it into the Z10 in order to see your photos.

If photos have been saved in the memory of the unit "BOLD", however you will need to get the unit running in order to copy the pictures. You have access to another battery, that you can use to test?

  • BlackBerry smartphones "BOLD" white screen please help

Hello everyone hope that someone will want to help with my problem. You see, I threw the phone on the floor the other day and showed a white screen, sometimes fainting in the normal display and sometimes what is the colorful stripes. spend 2 days and then my screen was just full of stripes of color, no white screen at all. I did some research and found that the concealment of the screen and reconnect the Ribbon of the screen might work. I did and he just came back to the white screen, no more color just scratches the white screen again. I watched tape of connection and its not teared, so don't know what else to do to fix. There was this other thing that coulded works but does not, and it was just the lock screen and pressing on the lower right of the screen by pressing the button 'p '. which didn't work either so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! URGENT!

I forgot my blackberry curve password 9360 and makes one 10 times, bad where the screen went white. I panicked and went quickly out of the battery. I know that means all my data is gone, but it's not bad. What I want to know is there anyway I can turn on my phone so I can use it again? Or is it completely dead?

    Thank you!

When you reinsert the battery and the device restarts, it must function as a deletion and then your device will be ready to be used primarily as new... without your old data, messages, calendar, contacts, etc.

Just go to set up as a new device.

    Not.

Download Desktop Manager version 4.6, and install it with administrative rights on your Vista PC.
