Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following steps (reboot insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

    (1) obtain a new download of the RIM Desktop software:

    • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchronizing via USB):
    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (2) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (3) install DTM on your PC

    4) install (also on your PC), device OS package

    (5) run the Desktop software and follow all instructions. At some point, you should be able, in the desktop software, launch the tool change AppLoader... where there are checkboxes standard software for your BB. Those that are checked are installed... those who are not. You can check those that you wish to have and it will install them in your BB.

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Bold 9000, Sync smartphone for missing mac using Sync

just upgraded to a 8800 with a 9000 and I see no end of questions

I try to sync my 9000 to my macbook using the missing sync, the 8800 t - it no problem just plug-and-play.

When I try to do with the 9000 the lack of synchronization screen, the battery symbol indicates the load for about 2 seconds and then it comes down to just showing the battery symbol that the phone is not connected to the load.

When I try to sync the phone missing sync returns an error indicating that the phone is not connected, in the finder, the phone does not appear as a drive.

So far, I did a soft reset on the 9000, out the battery and restarted.

I have reset and restarted the Mac.

I checked to see that I have the latest version of the missing sync software

everything seems to be in order, but can anyone come up with any other suggestions, I slowly come to the conclusion that the phone is down

Please see the other thread we have going on this.

Missing Sync does not work with the "BOLD", even though they say that they "support"... all they do is opening tickets error for all the world and indicating that they cannot understand it. At most, you might be able to get your calendars and tasks synchronization and notes if you only use MarkSpace notes. Nothing doesn't sync properly to the Entourage from, so only use your applications native mac. Contacts are damaged. Sync once and never sync them again - will erase your office contacts.

If you are using a Macbook (late 2008), Macbook Pro or macbook Air, there is NO support synchronization at this time for Missing Sync and the BB "BOLD". Lack of precise timing are aware of this, they have no estimates for an update.

If you get no link at all - try to open Missing Sync first, then connect. Try a different USB port. Try to uninstall your old version of MS, and reinstall a new copy after a restart of your computer.

See the other thread for suggestions and advice. People are displayed the same questions without reading the other, and now we have 3 of them. There is one that is two pages with ideas and experiences of others.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones just bought a Blackberry "BOLD" in Thailand to be used in the Philippines

    Hi all

I recently bought a new 'fat' in Thailand.  It cost me about 600 U.S. Dollars and this is unlocked.  I used my SIM from the Philippines who wandered in time and was able to send a text message, so I guess it works OK.  I have a few questions, however.

The Unit came with a Vodafone logo, and the manual is in German.  There is also a flash start page that says Vodaphone.  I guess I can download a manual on the Blackberry site.  Anyone have a quick link to such a download?

Second, the software supplied with the unit disk is defective.  I must have damaged it because it has a scratch and will not work.  Cannot read the files on the disk.  I noticed a version 4.7 with support tools available for download on the site Web of Blackberry.  What is the equivalent of what's on the disc that came with the phone?

If 6a is unable to offer an update automatically 6B fails as you say, then the package of which operating system you have installed on your PC is ignored and you prevail with success on the process of "automatic". In general, it is because:

    • You have no valid package of BB OS installed on your PC (for example, that you have installed is a different model number)
    • You have more than one pack of BB OS installed on your PC (which can confuse the process loader)
    • No package of BB OS of all installed on your PC
    • You have a valid package installed on your PC, but did not remove the required PROVIDER. XML files

These are the typical reasons that the process would not override the automatic method... and what you have said, this is what it looks like happened... for one (or more) of these reasons, what you have tried to install on your PC has been ignored.

    Another thing...

Once the phone has rebooted, an e-mail message from three which is assumption was the name of the earlier mark of Vodafone in Australia. The message greeted me and said "Blackberry Internet Service is now ready to use."

This means - my camera is still stuck at this company? How will I know? Though it may be the possibility, how am I able to use my India BSNL SIM card on the device?

It is indeed very interesting. It could indeed mean exactly what you fear, and until this prior carrier releases the BB PIN with their BIS system, your carrier will not be able to offer you services of BIS. Reference:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

All steps must be completed and there are several steps in the vendor area that only the holder of the account to the other carrier can lead - for example, in general, the carrier will not accept an application for release of their real account holder PIN, which is not you.

I fear may indeed have bought a device that you will never be able to fully use. You can contact the seller to see what they are prepared to do.

    Good luck!

  • Problems after update "BOLD" 9000 blackBerry Smartphones

After update BB Bold 9000 to V5.00.681

    Bundle 1137

Platform 52.064, there are no Applications available in the application launcher (DM Version 6.0.1.18 on Windows 7). The Smartphone works very well but unfortunately Memopad and ToDo is missing. As part of the Planer DM, these two applications are marked as not installed. Please help me how to install these applications. In the application launcher, there is ONLY "Blackberry App World"

    Hello

Try the following.  Download the operating system of your carrier's Web site and install it on your computer.  You can do this by selecting your operator from the list here: http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Once you've done that, see if necessary applications will appear in the desktop software.  If this isn't the case, then there is another method which should work.  Just to be sure, make sure you back up your first device using Desktop software first.

On your computer, go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and run the Loader.exe file.  (Note: on computers 32 bit, should no (x 86) in the Program Files folder because the Program Files folder).

Once you start the Loader.exe file, simply follow the steps until you get to the point where you can select the applications.  Now you should see the option to check the Documents To Go, notebook and any other software that has not been installed.  Once you have all the apps you want enabled, simply press next (note: leave everything that is checked as checked, unless you want to uninstall).  This should now load the applications on your BlackBerry while keeping the rest of your BlackBerry file system.

    I hope this info helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to level of 9000 "BOLD"

    Hi all...

I want to improve my Blackberry Bold 9000...

How to upgrade my BB B 9000?

    My current v4.6.0.303

You want to 'upgrade' your phone, as to get a newer model or you want to "Refresh" your phone, such as to load a new operating system on it?

If you want to update, a good way to do that is using BlackBerry Desktop Software.  If you have not installed on your PC, go to the www.blackberry.com/desktop of your browser.  Once you have installed, connect your phone to your PC with a USB cord and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Click device at the top of the software, then update after that.  If your carrier offers a new version of the OS, it will appear in the Desktop software and you can load it on your phone.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones CAN I SEND OR RIECIEVE MMS on Blackberry Bold 9000?

Is it possible to send MMS on the Blackberry bold 9000, I'm new to blackberry

and on the Orange network, after updating fron Nokia N95, I had to change my SIM but still the same number throughout the cpw I don't see even an icon for MMS, so is this?

Not sure on Orange, but some carrier have not implemented of the MMS (Sprint is a)

If you go into your Messages icon and press your menu button, do you see MMS compose as a choice?

If this is not the case, try to re-enroll the BlackBerry. Go to Options | Advanced options | The host routing table. Select the "BOLD" entry, press the menu button and select Save now. That should send a message of registration of your provider to the device. Then try to remove the battery for 1 min seconds.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, blocking a volley BB Bold 9000 - Vodafone

This is my first post on the BB community forum. To be with, l, I would like to say a warm hello to everything that you guys.

I hope that I am not rest this problem, if there is a similar thread, please re - direct me to it.

So, I am owner of a curve 8520, had with a full data plan Orange Romania and I have pretty much everything that I need on this subject, perfect phone

One of my friends recently got a BB Bold 9000, but he did not have a data only plan if no internet connection 3G for him, only a wi - fi connection. We had time to "pimping" his aircraft, updated the software, installed a few applications from my PC.

Now, the phone got stolen last night, and we know that he BBs are the best phones because of their safety. So we decided to block it and I started looking for how to do this.

So far, I know that is by providing the IMEI code of the device to the carrier, which will ban it, which makes the phone unusable for calls.

The second way, in my opinion, is related to the BlackBerry Protect application. Now, I don't know if it had installed the application, I tend to believe that there can be no...

My question is, if we know that the pin of the device, IMEI, and all the other news that comes with the box and the device was not installed the BB Protect application, can't we still block the phone?

I even read that there is this cool feature that allows the person who holds the stolen phone to call just one number to give it.

I think that the main problem here is going to be proving the phone is actually hers since he got his aunt and he doesn't have a contract of carriage, it uses the prepaid credit to call.

I believe that the version of the software on the device is 5.0.0.681 (Bundle 1168, platform 5.2.0.67) if that helps, but I can't guarantee that. The version is the one I have on my phone that I did not update since I got it, and we him demoted to on my CD of support because he had some problems with the former owner.

Thank you and have a wonderful evening!

The phone is stolen, not much, you can do but in order to report this to the carrier and let them deal with him.  Without blackberry protect, don't know how you can try the other stuff you mentioned.  The phone could be in a dumpster somewhere now, so I would not spend a lot of time on it.  Report stolen from the carrier and, hopefully, he can get soon replaced.

Please, on this new device, download blackberry protect.

Desktop Manager is an interface between your blackberry and your computer. The version (4.5, 4.7, 5.0) has nothing to do with the software version of your phone, and they do not have to match.

In short, yes it will work with your "BOLD"

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB 9000 "BOLD" how to display Arabic text SMS

I'm new to these forums so sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place... Please redirect me if so.

Recently bought BB bold 9000 Vodafone Aust. Need to know how to display messages or emails received in the ARABIC text... any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

Download the operating system for the carrier and use the Application Loader within the Desktop Manager software (that came with the box) and select Arabic with the language options (if it is an option).

Alternatively you could install the operating system of an Arab company (is to delete the vendor.xml file), but this is not recommended.

This is my website (the short version) instructions:

Get an operating system from here:http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    ----------------------------------

The operating system of software downloaded from the Blackberry site contains all of the files required to recharge the o/s.
The Desktop Manager software is NOT necessary!

Once downloaded and installed, follow these instructions:

    • Download the file from the OS from the website of your carrier to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    • Go to c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    • Plug in BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of data you need to back up and restore during the process. Once he did load the new OS, it will reboot (it may do it twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with a hourglass up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization." If, for any reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply reconnect to the PC and run Loader.exe again and it should load the operating system on the device.
