BlackBerry classic again classic "BOLD" data transfer

I have now spent several hours trying to get my xferred of data from my old "BOLD" to my new classic. I downloaded and installed the software Link. I plugged my "BOLD" into my USB port, it finds the phone and seems to have copied all of the normal data (email, contacts, etc.).

It now says to connect my new phone but the ware is unable to recognize and is just to always on "connect your new drvice of BlackBerry to your computer. When a picture of your device, click on the photo. "and that seems to be the end of it. But, the pop-up from the Device Manager shows BlackBerry is connected and the phone believes also, as it appears something asking what I want to do with the connection. (I said to ignore because any other option disconnects the phone)

When I connect, I see a pop-up from Device Manager that says "BlackBerry [pine: 2BF...]." has been connected to the systen. Initialization of peripheral access. "but that too never seems to finish, just sitting there for a long time.

Check the Task Manager Win I see the following probably related things running:

BbDevMgr.exe
BlackBerryLink.Autoupdate.exe
BlackBerryLink.exe
BlackBerryLink.Helper.exe

I also thought that I would try to use the deviceswitch software to do the transfer on my wifi network. The problem here is that my old phone has a SIM card is no longer and it will not allow Internet access to this web site to download and install the software, even if there is always a wifi connection to my network. Is there a way to get this software installed on the old "BOLD" without an active Internet connection.

People at the ATT store are mostly clueless on BlackBerry things, even if they succeeded in getting my contacts (only) transferred after playing with it for 30-45 minutes. They said that was all they could do.

Thus, any help or things to try based on this long rant would be appreciated. :-)

Don't forget is much more than the Notes. You can store photos and other media in there too. When that you mark an email he made an entry do not forget. It is really powerful.

If your wife is a big coconut Notes, I'd recommend Evernote. It integrates natively on the BB and put another folder in the application do not forget to Evernote Notes. The good thing is it syncs to Evernote online and there is no risk of never losing the notes given that most devices have applications Evernote.

    Two things,

    1. I would like to use any third party SMS backup utility in your App World, to back up and save your SMS from the 9220, first. Find a backup that will allow you to view the SMS on your PC or other.

    2. to switch the device, follow the instructions here: http://us.blackberry.com/support/DeviceSwitch/Switch-from-BlackBerry-OS5-7.html

However, who will not transfer your SMS messages. If you made a backup with the third-party application.

  • Questions classic blackBerry Blackberry Classic compared to the features and functions of the Bold 9900

I am extremely satisfied with the functionality of my Blackberry Bold 9900 and yet I am fun the idea of upgrading to a classic Blackberry and had a few questions, some of them functional, but one of them is technical:

    (1) I have granularily configured different contacts to the ring through "silent" while some people may sound through if I'm having a NAP or sleep. The classic allows you granularily configure the option of 'ring through' on a manually configured silent mode?

    (2) can the classic surely go to sleep and wake up one day of week / weekend schedule? My current phone doesn't sleep at midnight and wake up at 06:00 every night of the week and 02:00 to 09:00 on weekends.

    (3) back in the day of Blackberry older had a view "of today" where you could see the incoming email and tasks on the main screen. I couldn't get that with my Bold 9900, but I found this interesting app called BePopup which jumps to the top of my texts and emails on the screen as they come, without touching a button. Can you get automatically posted emails or texts with that with the classic?

    (4) the Blackberry plan I have with my provider uses the platform communications for my Blackberry RIM and so my e-mails are immediate, arriving minutes always quicker than other CC (iPhone and Android users) distribution lists. That being said, is the new classic uses what platform these other phones use for messaging connectivity?

Any feedback regarding these essential functions would be greatly appreciated as it will help me in my decision. I am very happy with my 9900 and have little reason to upgrade... unless all of these options are available.

  • BlackBerry Q10 transfer old data blackberry device BlackBerry 10 device, without old blackberry device again

    Hello
I recently bought a new BlackBerry Q10, I got a 9790 "BOLD" of BlackBerry OS 7 before that and I had backed it up in BlackBerry Desktop Software. I had no knowledge that BlackBerry 10 devices do not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software, so I sold my Bold 9790 and then bought a Q10. I need to retrieve all the data from my old 9790 "BOLD" to my Q10, but unfortunately does not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software Q10. If I download BlackBerry link it will ask to connect to my old camera to transfer files.

So basically, I need to transfer my old phone to the new backup file.
    Please help me. Thank you.

First of all, the device is released for more than a year and a half.  BlackBerry has put the information out there.  I easily found the information below with a quick Google search that brought up this article, KB33322

While it has not yet been updated in order to take account of the last update for the link, I made a few minor changes to the instructions to join the same options in the new version of the link.

Multimedia files stored on the internal memory of the device will be transferred if you check the box "Multimedia files stored on the internal memory."  Multimedia files stored under the content on the old appliance store will not.

    Here are the instructions:

    1. Connect the 10 BlackBerry smartphone to the computer via the USB cable.
    2. On the left side of the BlackBerry connection screen, click on the name of the smartphone BlackBerry 10.
    3. Select restore device > Legacy device backup files.
    4. Select the desired backup file.
    5. Select the data to be restored in the smartphone BlackBerry 10. To restore data to all supported, select the checkbox restore all data .  Choose the data to restore select Custom Restore.
Note: for a description of data BlackBerry smartphone, refer to KB03974.
    6. Click restore.
  • BlackBerry Smartphones ONLY transfer Contacts between Blackberry's without all the data and settings again BB

Anyone know if there is a way ONLY to transfer all my contacts from one Blackberry to another Blackberry without transferring all the data and settings to the other Blackberry with the device switch Wizard?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

If you have a full backup of the old Blackberry, use this .ipd file to restore only the contacts on the new device.

If your contacts are up to date in Outlook do a one-way Outlook for contacts device synchronization.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Classic trials come from a Torch9810 to a classic

I started to love my new classic after recovering from the shock of the use of a system of BBOS7 and always have some problems with the loss of functionality.

This is not my second BlackBerry, this is my 4th I started with the Curve 8310.

The loss of the e-mail that I had recovered since and reprint business cards was a small expenditure.

My problems with loss of function is not quite as bad as the brockway of the user who posted "Bold 9900 classic: Observations on the lack of functionality & bugs after the switch ' on this page. We have similar problems, but not the same thing.

I put here the case someone who can tell me what I can do to make things easier, or maybe awhile "why didn't we think of this ' BlackBerry Developer will read this.

Here are my questions/gripes on the classic:

The Hub - while a "catch-all" good I would like to see better sorting options. Above all, keep unread messages at the top, unless "filed".

WHY - I get/send a lot of emails sometimes and some are lower priority and had to be dealt with later. Keep on a fast easy to notice the screen would help them noticing.

On this point, the screen does not tell you that you have unread messages, screen "slide up" made. The main screen does not work.

Email - I have acquired to the thread no longer have my old E-mail BIS. The old system on my torch was head and shoulders classic. This can't possibly be resolved because of the way it is set up now.

Here's what I miss: I liked easily mark an email as unread and would add the notifier the number of unread emails reminding you that you did, as I said above the new system does not work.

Recorded second - an easy way to access email, the torch has a icon I could type and I would be in the folder, I can always do, just not more is needed.

Third-marking unread emails takes many steps, I have to open the e-mail, close it, then quickly tap the envelope icon. I could just tap the front.

    The calendar.

The calendar is almost useless, to the point that I rarely use it now. The block for the current date and the slider are of the same color. The cursor always starts in the upper left block on the calendar. The torch has not done that, the cursor began on the date of the day and did not leave a block of color, similar to this topic.

The app remember, it took the search this forum to find that my memos had been moved here. I never used the recall on my Torch, because the schedule was so awesome. Now that the timing sucks a bit, I started using it. These reminder popups, (calander has it too) with the same problem that my previous bays.  I can't be alone in this, I do something on my camera and need to do something that requires me to the touchscreen, the nanosecond before I touch the screen, the reminder and I hit dismiss. Am I looking for what I needed to see.

What would be better - put these notices at the top of the screen as the texts and emails are when a program is open.

BBM when you save a picture, I would have confirmation or rejection that a file is registered or unregistered, currently I have to open the images to verify that it saves.

What would help-changing automatically a number when a double file name is used, since it is originally very likely my problem.

The official case - I do not work in a library, so I miss a lot of calls and messages, due to the thud. The case is so well done, that sometimes I do not notice the vibration either.

What is missed in the test-hole in the bottom that exposed the speaker so that people can hear it.

Let me not having notifications "low power mode" in the hub. I am pleased that they are deleted when the battery is charged.

If you read my rants, I thank you and if you can offer suggestions for I would be happy to listen. If an application is what Miss me I will consider this approach as well.

The classic could be very good, I was expecting the courage of the Passport, but it didn't happen.

There is a guide that is extended by the user for the classic here:

  • Sync blackBerry with Blackberry classic and computer software problems

I get persistent on Blackberry link error messages when I try to sync my BB classic with my computer. The message reads: "CPreferences Manager: Configuration for, preferences, Account_5_327628, SyncAccountld_2 not the value inTransConfig.xml for translator RimBB.'»

What this means and how can I fix the problem, so my sync can be successful, please?

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I followed the procedures. I already have the latest version of Windows 7 Professional on my computer and the 1.2 update link to BlackBerry. I've also posted the order suggested in the command prompt. After pressing the Enter key, I launched the Blackberry link again. Unfortunately, the same errors occurred.

Rather than trying to contact BlackBerry Technical Support Services, I watched again the synchronization process... There seems to be no problems regarding synchronization of the Contacts. However, the mechanism seems to hesitate on the sync of the calendar entries. On this basis, I went back and changed my settings for the calendar so I changed to a two-way synchronization between the device and the computer for a one-way ticket between my device and the computer with a preference given to my device. A message indicating that some elements would be removed from my computer and others from my camera. Given that I printed on my calendar every week from Outlook, I felt that it was worth sacrificing some entries if he allowed the synchronization to continue smoothly. So I accepted the deletions. When I tried to sync again, no error has occurred. At this point I returned to two-way sync as I had before, but always with the preference given to my device.

Perhaps the above can be useful to others who are struggling with the same error message.

  • BlackBerry classic classic My Blackberry does not ring on incoming calls

    Dear Blackberry classic users,

My phone was working just fine yesterday. Until then, it stopped ringing for incoming calls.

I used the medium profile, the strange thing is that, on this profile, the phone warns me on whatsapp messages, text messages, but not sounds on incoming calls.

Then I activated the normal profile and surprisingly he trained the same ringing sound on incoming calls.

Can someone help me with this problem because I use this phone for my office work and not perfom my tasks with this minor problem.

Restart the device by holding the power button for about 10 seconds, through the countdown through the logo, through the Red led and until the logo appears again.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry classic classic said memory of the device, but will not let me delete anything.

"Preparing Blackberry Hub" does not load.

If I load swip left to watch, he says prepare Blackberry Hub and 5 icons illuminate one by one, then a few seconds, black screen flashes, then 'Preparation Blackberry Hub' again and again. Never load of my texts and emails.  He eats my battery fast and I watch my % battery drop like crazy, more I leave "preparation Blackberry Hub" running in loops.

Unable to send texts and incoming texts do not come. When I get to my contacts and try to text someone, he said: "full storage. Storage must be released to perform the operation requested text message".

My top down swip in the menu drop-down has disappeared except for settings.

When I try to delete files that I always see in the directoyr to free up space, it is said:

Cannot delete files such blackberry no file or directory classic

    Help, please!

I have installed any additional apps!

I have the 10.3.1.1779 output software

I have 1200 photos in my camera case! 100 or more of them, I need to register! I've never had a map memory will...

Connection to the computer don't open files from my Blackberry. I can't find the drive on my computer...

When I try to open the pictures folder it says error "your application cannot run because your built-in multimedia storage space is full. Delete some files or move them to your media card, & try again. »

Then the box pop up behind the error box says "not enough space storage."and even your application cannot run etc etc"." I click on File Manager by his suggestion, butt, no files will delete that I pasted at the beginning of the present. And I can't open a picture, when I click on one it says only: "Unable to open" & the name of the file.  But I can scroll down and see my 1000 files, they all flower icon

    Good news!

Remove all the apps in my Blackberry option did the trick!

Is it my storage of 15.7 15.6, and after restarting my phone, charged to the top! My texts appear now in the hub and I can text again, and some texts in!

I can now open my pictures folder and delete a few hundred images that are cluttering up this final cushion memory!

And tonight I'll move everything on a memory card and erase the memory of the device!

So people, when file manager tells you to remove the files, but he isn't listening to you when you try to delete the files, simply delete all applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Evernote, etc. etc. etc.

He has completely returned my Blackberry to normal!

Now, I will take your advice my friend and upgrade to the latest version tonight and never leaves the device still so weak!

FYI, now the volume up and down button doesn't restart after 10 seconds now or then, but the phone restarts again and again on his own, he doesn't stay offshore. I don't know if it's just me, but report.

  • Data transfer Palm Pilot IIIx for Blackberry 8320 blackBerry smartphones

Thanks to BBSingh for help posting this message. I would really appreciate help from the members of the forum to provide a remedy that is known to work with my Palm and Blackberry.

My problem is changing my old (December 1999 vintage) Palm IIIx data to my new Blackberry 8320. Years, I have used the Palm in conjunction with a Motorola L7089 (April 2000 vintage) and their IR ports for data transfer; Unfortunately, the phone fell in water and after drying carefully, he could make and receive calls again its screen remains empty, so no need to send SMS and most of the functions. Sales team convinced me to buy the Blackberry, but I'm starting to wonder if I've been conned, as usual with sellers once they get your money that they are not prepared to do anything else. New technology has undone me. In the long task of transfer of several thousand items manually I had recourse to the expertise of this forum.

A tip I found has been updated the Blackberry Desk Top Manager to v4.6 and it would list the Palm in its devices to transfer data from. I did, but the resulting Wizard at the point of registration of the Palm, but it wouldn't activate a greyed on the option button. DTM for Windows status options System Tray icon COM1 has been disabled. I could allow it, but as soon as this dialog box has been closed COM1 returned to the disabled state. BTW, this is a non sequitur on COM1 Hotsync of Palm transfers data to the PC via COM1 and the Palm software tools works very well also. I closed all the related applications of Palm and it made no difference. I tried DTM 4.5 with the same result. As an aside how the icon options DTM is deleted from the system tray, Windows Task Manager should be used to close the application.

Another tip say to export data from Palm in Outlook Express, then DTM would need to be OE. I enabled OE reluctantly because it is a questionable product, a favorite oxymoron is "microsoft security", has exported the Palm data in a CSV file, but when they are imported to OE it's garbage. Repeat the exercise but exported as tab delimited and got a worse result. Try to import or the other of these abortions in my Blackberry has been a waste of time.

Another tip say export data from Palm as VCF which can import BlackBerrys, but did not say how they did it. Palm tools allows only the comma or tab files in the delimited export formats.

MY PC is a Dell 4600 with 2 GB of RAM and 300 GB SATA HDD, XP Pro SP3, so that all the relevant fixes SP3 post. Windows Firewall software, the AV and malware have been temporarily disabled, and I logged in as administrator too.

    RESOLVED - 98%

A big thank you to everyone who contributed ideas. Here is the solution to most data transfer: -.

    1. install the Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.5

    2. download the latest tools of Palm Desktop Manager which is 4.1.4 (I used 3.6)

    3. perform hotsync of Palm IIIx with Palm tools

    4. disconnect the Palm Pilot from PC

    5. connect the Blackberry to the PC

    6. open Blackberry DTM and check ' device (PIN): "appears

    7. Select the device switch Wizard, grant conditions and the next screen shows active button for Palm devices, click Next

8 calendar, addresses, etc. are read, previews of each appear for approval; with the exception of the calendar. Click OK to finish and get out

    9. close DTM, disconnect Blackberry

10, opening relevant applications on Blackberry to check, all transferred no problem except the grille which was empty

I can live without the old calendar entries and do not have to manually re-create handfull. So the question is settled.

  • BlackBerry Classic bluetooth voice dialing

My new Blackberry classic makes me crazy.  My phone does not include orders when using the bluetooth in my car (Toyota Rav4).  He then said he has 12 results for one person (not possible).  Or he does not understand?  Then when the call finally passes by, he repeats, such as ' call so and so, home phone 555-222-3333 and so on. "  10 minutes later, if I'm lucky, the call through finally.

I have no need for the phone to repeat the House/mobile number which is called the correct number is programmed into my phone.  Why he don't understand my orders when I speak clearly and sussinctly?

What can I do to stop all this frustration?

    Thank you

    T

Is voice dialing works when you are not using Bluetooth?

If so, it is rather a problem with the microphone of the car of the phone itself.

Regarding the repetition of the number: you can stop in the settings in the wizard:

I hope someone can help me with the following problem: my classic Blackberry does not recognize the mp3 format so it does not play my music (my previous Blackberry Classic did play the same music I have on my current phone) or podcasts.

Any help will be very appreciated!

    Some ideas...

You restart the classic and then trying to read the files?

You get an error message when you try to play the files? If Yes, what is the error message?

How do you try to read the files? Have you tried to navigate to files using a file manager and by opening the mp3 a go from there?

If you can read the file, say a computer?

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Classic unknown ID, the client returns the phone.

    Hi blackberry support team,

    I stand,

I am Sinan AKDAS from Turkey, owner of CARSI ILETISIM in ISTANBUL. I am the owner of a retail shop that sells all of the newest smartphones. Lately, i have sold many new blackberry classic phones and one of them is returned to me by customer because he couldn't get pass the blackberry id screen on his new device. It was sealed and new when i sold him. I was surprised as this happened for the first time out of all blackberry classic phones i've sold until now. I need your assistance on removing the anti theft protection of this phone. I don't know how this happened but i've unfortunately become the victim here because customer returned the phone to me. It is useless at the moment. I can provide you all of the necessary documents for proof of purchases about this phone. Need your assistance on solving this issue. I had to contact you as we unfortunately don't have any official blackberry office in Turkey at themoment. Please provide me any necessary steps to solve this problem. I asked the customer if he entered any bbid before, he said no, he couldn't pass the id screen and returned the device to my shop. I can not sell this new device to anyone which is a big lost for as all of my profits are gone if this is not solved.

    Regards.

    Device : Blackberry Classic

It's very frustrating at this time, and you are the only people I can ask for help on this issue. We are a legitimate retail store in Istanbul / Turkey. This is not in any case that a problem has occurred in-flight. I am willing to provide any document you could ask for.

Indeed, it is not a problem caused by the grey market providers, since they buy their blackberry devices itself some counterfeit Chinese factories. Anyway, I learned the lesson and will never reach the request of my clients who want to purchase blackberry devices. They are unauthorized or devices of the houses. BlackBerry is missing in Turkey, one of the largest mobile markets in the world. Turkish people change their phone that they change their shirts. Once I finished my stock of silver edition passwords, there is not one BlackBerry smart phone sold in my store.

I want to thank all of you who responded to my son with the intention to support. And I show my middle finger to blackberry forever.

    Kind regards.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones constantly to the research or data transfer

I have a Curve 8520 and have not had a problem in 15 months. I recently downloaded the upgrade of OS 5. Ever since this download my phone has been continuously research or data transfer, the arrow at the top right continues to blink.  He normally wouldn't be a problem but it is draining my battery, it is durable currently only about 5 hours and I can't carry a round charger with me all day.

I changed my screen 'manage connectivity' to display the Red arrows next to wifi and blackberry, but this had no effect. The only time stops problem is when I connect to my wifi at home.

Have no solution? I love my blackberry but need a phone that lasts more than 5 hours before recharging.

Before the upgrade, it was fantastic.

    Thank you

I called my service provider more who have confirmed not only the mast near where I work has a flaw have, but those close to me has now, so this may explain why he's trying all the time. When I'm at home I have an internet connection, so there is no need to search.

I received once, to the minute, that the mast will be set so fingers crossed this will fix it. If this isn't the case, I can be back on here. Thank you for your help. :-)
