  I have the blackberry curve smartphone lilac, and recently a little symbol "appeared" at the top of the screen, in the same place as the "new message", "new email address" etc. icons are displayed.

  It is a white circle with a white arrow pointing South West and black in the middle of the circle and a small red star on the top right of the icon, the same that appears in the top right...

  Hello.  I have a Curve 8330 on Sprint network.  About a day and a half, I stopped receiving my emails on my phone.  I can't send email either.  SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work very well.  My e-mail account works fine if I connect via the browser.  My wife has the same phone has a hotmail e-mail account and had no problems.

  I just reloaded the operating system, applications and data on a 9780.

  When I navigate to Options > Setup > Email accounts I get no response, nothing happens. I can't even quit the application. I have to remove the battery in order to use the device again. This has been a problem for a long time with this camera. I expect to solve it by reloading everything but there has been no improvement.

• Smartphone blackBerry Bold 9780 new e-mail configuration problem

  I tried to establish a new email on my phone and go through the wizard to do.  However, whenever I select the 'E-mail accounts' option in the installer, I get an hourglass and nothing will happen.

  Occasionally, by selecting 'Email accounts' will actually get to the next screen where I can choose "E-mail address".  When you select "Email address" I am immediately brought back to the previous screen.

  I have already reset my phone to factory settings but still get the same result.

  If anyone can help?

  Update: I have finally used the 2nd solution to add / maintain my email accounts. Go to mobile.blackberry.com if you experience this problem and try it.

  I have a user who has added a second e-mail account to their Blackberry 8330 Curve. The second account is Verison.   Hey, grateful for the help with my little problem. I just got my new "BOLD" of BB and my personal COMPUTER company helped set up to receive my office mail (Microsoft_Exchange) using the BES and it works beautifully. Play with the phone later and read the user guide, I saw that it was possible to add multiple e-mail accounts. So, I followed the procedure for "setup" on the phone and duly added my gmail account personal. It seems to work fine as well. However, I have a problem. Whenever I get a new email to my personal gmail account, I simultaneously receive the same e-mail to my office email account! Now that's a bit irritating. How can I stop my personal email appearing in my box with the letters of the Office? The opposite does not occur, IE, email received in my Office mailbox does not appear in my mailbox gmail mailbox. Any help / advice for this problem appreciated. Thank you.

  Hi, thanks for the explanation. I am pleased to inform that I have solved my problem. I deleted the 'additional email' (that is to say, my personal gmail I put in place through the configuration of BB application). Then I went to gmail using my computer, downloaded the "gmail for mobile" on my BB and set the IMAP protocol on. And here, an exact replica of the gmail page I see on my computer now appears on my BB! And gmail mails I get are "pushed" to my BB, WITHOUT reproducing on my mailbox for MESSAGES from office. I don't know how it works, but I'm assuming that gmail is not pushed into the BES through gmail IMAP regardless of the BES. In any case it meets my goal.

  I also had the same questions. I had to go online, log my blackberry account and return service directories to my phone. That took care of everything for me. I hope this helps.

  ON your BlackBerry, using the browser, go to mobile.blackberry.com

  Scroll to the bottom to Communications, and then to the Email.

  Find your configuration of e-mail it and try, it should work for you.

  Maybe I don't understand your question, but without the connection information, you cannot add accounts. Add in your accounts go to settings > accounts and enter the credentials it. If you do not know your passwords, you need to reset with these suppliers.
