You can change this setting by clicking on more-> settings-> display and Actions, in the hub.
From here scroll to the bottom of the page and select the menu drop-down delete on.

I can't access the files on my PC from my Z10 in the "File Manager" application. Connecting my phone to my old PC Windows 7 works fine, but when I select my new PC for Windows 8.1 in the File Manager displays the icon of waiting for some time he does display no files at all. -In the Blackvery link in my phone settings, I have 'BlackBerry Link' in position 'On' and I can see my old and new PC in the section 'paired computers '.
-J' have the latest version of the operating system on my phone and the latest version of the Blackberry link.

I figured this out, finally. McAfee Firewall is running on the new laptop and turn it off allowed me to see the files without problem. Stupid, not solicited for McAfee firewall was the issue.

BlackBerry battery problem new Z10 Z10
Hi all
I bought a new Z10 BB a month back & last few days her having problems with the battery, if I load the full bttry after 30 min it start showing fees battry 0% in RED. But the phone works with all the problems (dnt phone will turn off). When I check the battry health in virtual Blackberry Expert, it shows the battery in RED.
Can someone tell me what to do? Is this a problem with the operating system or the battery it self?

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must be directly connected to a charger checked (not PC USB, not a docking station):
- With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
- Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
- Remove the battery
- Wait 15 minutes
- Insert the battery
- Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
This has been known to "revive" some BBs. If it fails, increase the waiting time at step 2 upwards to 2 hours and maybe more than 5 hours. This has been known, in some cases, to realign the calibration of the battery with the battery meter.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:
- Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
- Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens
The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

BlackBerry Protect must be on the phone when you get it. If you have enabled some 'thing to protect' then go to www.blackberry.com/protect on a PC and see if you get any where with it.

Software link blackBerry does not transfer data to new Z10
Just got my new Z10.
My old 9800 Curve works very well.
Installed the link. Connected the 9800 and it created a backup file.
Connected the Z10 and it was recognized.
The backup file appears, can be selected and it shows 11.4 MB
When I click on restore, it tells me it is restore, however it shows only transfer 399 k
There is no data from the old phone appearing on the Z10 after restoring.
Am I missing something?
Since the Z10 does not do these basic as Outlook synchronization functions, transfer the old installation of the BB program or work with some e-mail systems, I went back today to Rogers and told them to push!
I consider the BB 10 once again the functionality at least equal to older units.
Having the iPhone as features are nice, having the functionality of basic business, we are used to is a must!

Well known problem, but the good news is it seems to have been sorted with the new OS update soon. I use the following work around: when I wake up in the morning I do a restart. This seems to satisfy for the better part of the day. If go out during the night, for a restart. Now, I'm on T - Mo usa which seems to have little impact.

Using Firefox 7.0.1; having problems with hotmail. Cannot click on controls at the top of MSG, which is New, reply, delete, etc.. Can click on the same commands @ the bottom of the problem w/no MSG. Also cannot click on Inbox folder once I have access to another folder. All known solutions?
