BlackBerry pearl BlackBerry in Smartphones. Optus SIM "forbidden Sim:call.

I have a vodafone blackberry, it is unlocked. I can put any sim card in and it works fine. When I put sim optus in I can receive calls but cannot make calls. The message is "call failed. SIM: call inadmissible. I've seen this problem on the forum, but can not find the solution... can someone help! ??

Very odd Hmmm...

OK, the software you downloaded, it was for the Pearl of vodafone?

It must be for vodafone.

Check the vendor on your phone ID to ensure it corresponds to vodafone... (even if cal phones be locked, they are still technically locked design for the network, they were made with... but you can still use other sims inside)

After you download the software from the site of vodafone Australia, double-click it to install it. You should now see listed in the Manager of funds under help > about > Device software tab...

Keep me updated...

    Hey pemba.

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

I would first check to see if you are using the latest version of the software of your network service provider.  Go to www.blackberry.com/update or open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  If the software is up to date, I would check with your provider network for more investigations.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS messages.

    Hello

typical - just that I was looking to upgrade, I get the following message on my Torch 9800:

"BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS. »

There is a lot of space on the card in the device memory and press. I have deleted many texts and have removed the battery (several times), but the error keeps coming back.

I am able to text but can't seem to receive - although copies of text messages that I send continue to be saved. I'm having no problem with other forms of e-mail (for example, WhatsApp, Twitter).

I looked at 3465 Knowledge Base, which advises to uncheck the option "Leave Messages on SIM card", but this has been disabled throughout. (I checked it and saved out of curiosity, which allowed me to receive text only test that I then just sent myself, but after the error message is returned and no other text would come through...) I came back to this area being disabled).

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

When you say you deleted text messages, how have you deleted and how do you think that you have?

I suggest making a backup with BB Desktop Software. Then, you can use it to do a selective removal of just the basis of message text and see if you can receive messages after that. If you did the backup you can always restore text messages on the device if you want to, although he will crush all new messages on the device.

  • BlackBerry Pearl 3 G Smartphone OS (9105) studied

I am totally new to the Blackberry world and so I apologies in advance if I ask unnecessary questions. I tried to search the forum to avoid inconveniencing anyone.

I just got the 9105 on Vodafone UK.

The device confirms the following information under Options / about:

    V5.0.0.696 (platform 6.2.0.57).

The Web of Blackberry site (under "software download for Vodafone UK") propose the following update:

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1468 (Multilangauge)

    Package Version: 5.0.0.1468
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 5.0.0.882
    • Software platform: 6.2.0.93
    • File name: 9100_9105itutM_PBr5.0.0_rel1468_PL6.2.0.93_A5.0.0.882_Vodafone_UK.exe

The Blackberry Desktop Manager offers me the following update:

    5.0.0.882

Which I suppose is the same as that available on the site Web of Blackberry.

Question No. 1: After reading the comments on another thread I of the memorandum of understanding that my device is running OS 5 and updates made available for me to Blackberry OS 5, as it is determined by the number of Applications. Is this correct?

Question 2: Whenever I try to update my mistakes 9105 computer before the end, regardless of the method or the update (Desktop Manager / Web site / download for PC). I get the error during the installation phase, and the error message along the lines of:

The Application Loader could not connect to your BlackBerry smartphone. Try unplug......... power management settings do not use the intermediate device USB...

Can anyone suggest how I can install OS 6 on my 9105?

I appreciate all the help in advance,

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

First of all - THANK YOU for the thorough and thoughtful... excellent post!

Major operating system level is 5.0. But the revision in which is what it offers updated of current votre.696 of the more recente.882. You are 100% correct, when you look at the download portal, it's information "Requests" to compare to your OS version, comparing the 4 bytes.

It looks like the software is indeed having problems connecting via USB... Here is a list of troubleshooting items... I hope that something will be useful:

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.

I thought we were working on upgrading your OS 5.x? But if 6.x is available somewhere (you'll have to dig around the portals of download for various carriers know... but I think that AirCell / region P may be hit), then a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    Hi all

I have the blackberry curve smartphone lilac, and recently a little symbol "appeared" at the top of the screen, in the same place as the "new message", "new email address" etc. icons are displayed.

RIM (now called BlackBerry) does not repair the units. You can take it to T-Mobile, which would then send for repair, or you can ask a repair on your own shop. If there is a way for a quote before any work, get. There may be cheaper to buy another torch flea market online.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Chang SIM card

    Hello
IAM, traveling to LONDON - I'm going to change my SIM card - if I change all my data and contacts and bookmarks will be available as the same as before?
    Please advice

You must save your contacts to your address book on the device, not the SIM card.

You can check by opening your BlackBerry address book.

Press the Menu key > SIM Phonebook.

Look over there, you have all the entries stored in the SIM card? If so, you can press Menu again > copy everything to the address book.

Browser bookmarks are not saved in the SIM card.

  • BlackBerry Pearl to curve smartphones

    Thank you

What version did you have before?

    I found that explains the differences between 4.1 - 4.3: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05433

I'm still trying to find what is different between 4.3 to 4.6

You can always download the software. The operating system on your device does not depend on the version number of the Desktop Manager.
