  • Update blackBerry Smartphones New screwed up the phone BIGTIME

Hello. I was wondering ifanyone else had this problem. I've updated my 8130 to the latest firmware and everything seemed to go well until I tried to call anyone. I'd get a message that the number was not recognized by the system. I also noticed that it was making + composition in front of each number. I couldn't find a place to change to solve this problem. I've finally demoted to the embedded firmware. I'd love to blow the last bone in there, but with this goin wierdness with numbering it makes a no go. Any ideas would be welcome. Thank you.

  • BlackBerry 10 new software update screwed up my Q5

Last week my Q5 connected to my WiFi, only! and downloaded the new update. Many things have changed were not a big deal, BUT he also screwed up in my opinion. By that I mean is "everthing" needs to be resized to be able to read. If a text arrives, it is so great that the type of response the bar does not appear. It's a bitch to try to re-size 'every time' without hiting something unintentional. I had it working perfectly. BlackBerry! I want a solution for this or I'll it forward and post the worst online rant, you have already heard.

If anyone has a solution for what does not return shipping, I'd love to hear it.

    Cheers, with Canadian beer. :-)

Go to the accessibility settings and disable magnifier fashion. For some reason, he gets turned on by the upgrade.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM 7 - why he communicated is screwed?

I was see a hell of a lot of discussions because of many problems with BBM 7, as "all my contacts are gone" and "BBM 7A ΘtΘ supprimΘ!"

Why there no test RIM themselves? They have released a beta version before its release, surly, someone asks a question about the bugs and errors and why didn't RIM not correct them or at least delay the update?

Hundreds of people are planning to leave BlackBerry because of that, just look at the comments on the App World!

How RIM screws would like that? Or even take a risk of messing things up? Their shares have fallen, and more people are considering to switch to Android or IPhone!

    Hello

'How' and 'why', these issues require "inside information" to really answer. And all those who have such information would naturally not allowed to release it... so I really don't think that you will be able to get a definitive answer to this question. A lot of opinions, sure... but nothing that is authoritative.

My guess is that, like all things designed and built by humans, there is a chance of anomaly that is greater than zero, and the possibility of perfect deployment is indeed zero. In addition, with a complex environment like this, my personal opinion is that it is simply not possible to really test all scenarios during the development phase... the final real test is what I always called 'field test'... when the product is actually published in the world and all scenarios can then be examined really. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to really release the product.

Also note that the RIM is not alone in this type of debacle. Don't forget Windows Vista? And Windows ME? And (I think) Windows XP SP1? But Microsoft remains in the company, despite these debacles. I suspect that, as bad as it may seem this BBM version, RIM will continue survive.

In addition, it is impossible to really assess the rate of success or failure of this version of a forum like this. This site is specifically designed to help people who are in need... and so we naturally never hear from those for which the update is well conducted and no problems ensued.

If you really want a rate of 'problem', the metric only, you can draw the number of complaints is divided here the entire subscriber base of BB... and even that will be inaccurate because it can explain these users who are not eligible for the update or simply choose to avoid it. Nor can he explain to those who have problems but to go elsewhere for help.

Overall, my point of view (100% subjective) of the rate of complaint is that it is a little worse for some before release that RIM has had, but not dramatically so--at least not yet.

You have been very helpful to many people here on this site... I hope that you will continue to be the case. We try to promote this site as a place to come to the rescue... at the same time, we try to prevent it from becoming a place to just 'bash' RIM... to make this really accomplish anything to help another person from a difficult situation. There are a plethora of choices in the world and no single solution is perfect for everyone... we no not regret their choice in mobile device solutions.

    Good luck!

  • Replacing the screen LCD Z30 blackBerry for Z30

I can't find the support Web site of the spare parts for my 30 Z in the Blackberry.ca. I am looking to buy a replacement screen LCD for my BlackBerry 30 Z if possible or any company that sells official part, I can do it myself, I just want to buy, thanks

As Leslie said, eBay and Amazon have them, I've seen them for $45 - $70 each.

Make sure that you don't get the Verizon version, you want the GSM model which is more common.

I replaced mine and helped a friend with a replacement, it is a very simple process to remove the 8 screws and using a pry tool to open the back, disconnect the ribbon cable and then turn everything above.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Z30 two BBs bearing the same names of device

I had a Z10and I replaced it with a Z30. When I made the switch I saved the Z10 and then the Z30 and transferred all my data. address book, email, pictures, etc. In the process of link Blackberry gave my new Z30 the same device as the Z10 name. This wasn't a problem until a few weeks before when I reactivated the Z10 for my wife to use. Now they both have the same device name. How can I change one of them without screwing all the parameters, etc.

    intrigued,

    Pat

I assume that you mean the name you give the camera. And I guess that link assigns a name if you do not enter a unit. To consult me, look at settings > on > device name.

So, if I am followed, remove or delete the link Z10, change the name of the device and add it to the link with the new name.

In addition, if you do not, you should do a wipe of the Z10 security and implemented with BBID your wife. And be familiar with BlackBerry protect against theft, first of all, if it applies.  http://support.BlackBerry.com/kb/articleDetail?ArticleNumber=000036737

  • BlackBerry Z10 1. Passage of 9900 to Q10 and 2. Installation of original ringtones

    Hello

This is my first post, so please bear with me!

I've had in my 9900 to a Q10. Giving my partner my old 9900. Save both devices two weeks ago, when I changed my phone so our data is secure.   My data has been moved over my Q10 (screw connection).  However, the difficulty to their signature on BB ID on my old phone as she continues to ask the username associated with the 9900. How can I do this (hover over their account to the 9900 for e-mail, etc. and get them running with emails (send us two addresses to both phones!)?

Also is there anyway to load ringtones install the original BB on my Q10?

Thanks for the advice and assistance.

    D

When you perform a data backup, it is associated with your BB ID. The data that is found on the 9900 has been backed up with, say, of "Of Deanna ID" (for example). Want to put 'ID of Deanna' given on your Q10 which is possible because you have accessed the Q10 with "of Deanna ID". Now, the only way to get data on the 9900 must sign in with "ID of Deanna' which would not be possible because this ID is now associated with the Q10. A single device can use a BB ID at a time. You will not be able to load this data for the 9900.

Regarding the installation of original ringtones from BlackBerry to your Q10, perform a search on the internet for this. There are files containing here original ringtones which can be installed on newer phones, you just have to find them.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Passport agreeing not to password...

OK, so my phone was in my pocket and hit the password 5 times.  I get a warning message about the fact that I screwed up the password 5 times, and that I can't miss more than 10 times, that's fine.  The problem lies in the fact that when I enter the password now, it don't tell me it's a mistake, or he gives me access to the phone.  Once I entered the password and press ENTER, the password disappears, but the number of login attempts does not change.  He didn't tell me that my password is wrong or right, it erases just the entered password.  No matter how many times I do it, it doesn't work.  Help, please!  I NEED my phone!

After so many attempts, something like 5, BlackBerry invites you to enter the blackberry. This is so you do not accidentally wipe your device.

If you are being invited to enter the BlackBerry, do it. Then you will be able to enter a password. If you enter what you believe, it is the password, make sure you're not spending a letter when you think that you enter a number or a special character, or vice versa. Watch the characters entered and make sure that when you press a key, a character is not a failure to enter, or the keyboard does not enter several characters.

  • BlackBerry App world & Marmalade - unable to update the application due to the incompatibility of the Package Id

When you try to submit an upgrade of my existing BlackBerry PlayBook application, my .bar file is rejected due to incompatibility of package-id.

I looked at the content of the folder bar and compared it to the original version that I presented. Indeed, the package Id has changed.

What has not changed, it is the id of the application signing certificate or id of the author. The original was presented with marmalade version 6.1, and was built with marmalade version 6.2.

Any idea on what is causing this discrepancy? Y at - there no fix for this other that screw up my existing version and from new BlackBerry App World? I really want to do because my clients lead are no longer updated.

In fact, I finally could get an it again. I run the tool for configuring Jam once more, then updated the packages of Marmalade by running the .mkb file. After these two steps, my release was accepted as being compatible with my previous version.

Thanks for the work around to the subject of manually update the configuration file. I'll take advantage of that in the future if need be.
