BlackBerry smartphone find IMEI or ESN on Curve 8330

I have a Curve 8330 from Sprint and I'm trying to set up the account of salon owners. He wants me to enter my IMEI or ESN, but I can't find the other. I looked into the status and looked under the battery. The only thing I can find is my PIN. Any suggestions?

I'm on Sprint. There is no number of "imei" where're told you to look at. I used e ESN (dec) number when I joined the show. Under your PIN in Options-status.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones best memory card for video (curve 8330)

Hello world. I'm new to this forum. I have a curve 8330 and I want to start taking video with her. What type of memory card do I need? And how much video will each GB of memory hold? Thank you!

Well, let's say that these are all the videos record you on the BlackBerry, because video recordings of different type will use different compression formulas, but fundamentally from those recorded on the device, you can expect, roughly estimated 10 MB per minute.

    Thus,.

    10 minutes = 100 MB.

    100 minutes (1 hour, 40 minutes) = 1 GB

    1000 minutes (16 hours and 40 minutes) = 10 GB

    1500 minutes (25 hours) = 15 GB

    Pretty much.

  • Map of blackBerry Smartphones media more capacity for BB Curve 8330

I read the most capacity of support for BB 8330 curve is 8 GB but I was wondering if anyone had tried any bigger maps memory capacity with any success or failure. I'd love to put all my music on my phone, but 8 GB won't hold it. I have a LOT of music. I would need at least 16 GB to get to place for all my music, photos and videos. But before you run out and spend a lot of money on a larger map and I wanted to know if someone tried.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones owners lounge without ESN

I've been looking online and read these forums, and it seems as if nobody has an answer, but I will try to join salon owner, so I ask...

I have a Curve 8330 from Sprint. Join salon owner, I need to provide the IMEI or ESN of the phone. Except this phone has not a. It has a MEID identifier. I tried to use the HEX and DEC version of this number, located in the two screen options/status and under the battery. The numbers are the same in both places, but no work in allowing me to sign up for the living room of the owner. I tried place '076' in front of the ankle, but receive and informing me that I have to include only error numbers. Each identifier I have includes some letters.

I've read through the forums and reviews, the same advice given (cocher check under the battery, make sure the options/status display, your esn is here) but mine are not.

I called Sprint, but only the numbers they had for this unit were those located on the sticker under the battery and on the options/status screen.

Any help would be appreciated. I see no way of contacting blackberry.com on this issue, but looking at the forums here and on crackberry it is obvious that I'm not the only one who has this problem.

    DRM for any help...

Please contact the web administrator. Looks like they changed the ground to accept the number MEID (dec) over time now, and I registered.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones type in Japanese on a CURVE 9320

Can someone tell me if it is possible to write emails in Japanese language on a BB CURVE 9320? If so, how?

I recently bought a BB CURVE 9320 and software, although able to display Japanese characters in an e-mail, does not allow typing in the Japanese language. I checked a lot of device software revisions, but the Japanese never shows in the language selection list.

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please read carefully this KB:

    • KB05305 Location of support for BlackBerry smartphones

The ability to use for different purposes, different languages on a BB is a function of having the right OS package installed for BB. This details KB on the complexities of achieving what you desire. Once you determine, based on all the factors, the package of operating system that you need, you would seek it through this Portal:

Before continuing, please visit this thread to make sure that you have a good backup so that you can properly restore everything as you go along:

If a package which, by the KB above, should understand that need you then you must install this package of system operating for your BB. From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones no update is available for Curve 9360

Hello, Im from India, I have a curve 9360 who currently heads the 7.0 version, I want to update 7.1 I checked via the BB of windows platform software, but it says "no update is avilabe" Please help me... Send me your replay valueable to my e-mail "[personal information deleted]."

Hello and welcome to the community!

Based on your description, I can only imagine that you tried only the automatic methods of obtaining an updated operating system. These methods are controlled by your operator, no BB, as to what is available to you. If, for example, BB was released at the level of the OS you want, but your carrier delays in approval, then you will be offered through these automatic methods. Fortunately, there are tricks to circumvent this (assuming that some other carrier comes to present the OS level you want, of course). The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC.

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry smartphones unable to open .zip on Curve 8900 files?

Hi all, recently acquired a Curve 8900 and I downloaded several themes and games, which are all of the .zip files, and although I was able to save on my BB it will not open the files. This is a mistake with my phone, or .zip files are not compatible with the 8900?

    Kind regards

    Anthony

How you try to open the ZIP file?

Go to the icon of your media > Menu > Explorer and find the file in question. What happens when you click on it?

It should be able to open it.

If still no go on BBFileScout as a free option for a file manager on your BlackBerry.

  • Your old blackBerry Smartphones xfering images phone new BB Curve

I just bought a new Curve 9330 and I stored all my pictures on my old phone on a micro sd 1 GB card.

When I put the sd card in the curve, I can see that the phone sees the card and a pop up display for a very short period. I had to do it like 3 times to read he said the media was going to be moved, but when I look at the camera/media I find a photo of my sd card.

    Tanks

While I was waiting for a response I understand that as soon as I put the sd card in my blackberry

It seems to create a new directory structure. He had all my old photos in a folder called my_pix

I then took a picture using Blackberry and found that the image was stored in a folder named blackberry /camera

I then selected all my photos saved under my_pix and copied on camera folder you and now all of my old photos are visible.

  • BlackBerry smartphones restore Conact on the new curve using back to the top of the old

My wifes 3G curve died this weekend and she's getting her a new today. I was wonding if I can restore its contacts (address book and BBM) through the switch device Wizard in Office Manager?

If it is 'dead' as you say it and does not turn on, it'll be pretty hard using the switch device Wizard. However, this method is ideal.

Now, she a recent backup of the old device, it would have done using the Desktop software or she uses her BlackBerry Protect on his old device?

If it has a backup, it can use Desktop software > device > restore and the system should select the most recent backup, or you can perform a search to find and set it to restore it on the new device, all contacts, messages, calendar, etc.

He will go on lock down and cost me a fortune to get fixed or is there something I can do to avoid this problem

would really like to help, I thank you for reading

Hello and welcome to the community!

What you're saying, looks like it's your device lock password, which prevents you from your device. Only this password can unlock it, but for one reason or another it just is not be accepted. Most often, it is because of the keyboard... you may think that you type a number, but actually, it's a letter, lock shift is power or some other modifier key is not present in the same State as when the password was created. Unfortunately, with just one more attempt there is very little to try... you get only once chance, so the probability of success is low.

I suggest you remove your battery, wait 5 minutes, then insert the battery, but wait at least 15 minutes before you try anything. Only, you get a chance, so you must leave your BB to be fully started before trying anything.

If you fail the last time, what will happen is that your BB will wipe itself clean of everything and be as if it were when you received first of all, including the removal of the password. This is a security feature designed to protect valuable data and personal information on the device of thieves.

    Good luck!

Help - I got a new pc and new bb at the same time - I downloaded my contacts in excel via an older version of the bb desktop mgr-now can't know how do to download excel contact in the curve via Desktop Manager - ideas?

    Thank you

You can import excel to Outlook, for a single method, and synchronize your Outlook file using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Another is to export the Excel file to an ASCII text file and then import it directly (without Outlook) using the Desktop Manager.
