  drizzt09 is correct... you are out of luck... and lucky to get any service at all. Looking to contact the seller, and if they are reputable, they may resolve the situation. Only the registered owner of the BB on the prior carrier can release the ANKLE... no one else can. Unfortunately, because the camera is on the list and that they don't react, my guess is that they are not reputable and the stolen report is true. In this case, you are, unfortunately, no luck.

  Hi all - I tried to figure this thing out of these last hours... and I'm about to smash my phone against the wall (of course, I've gotten nowhere with it).

  Here's the problem: about 2 days ago I noticed that my phone is no longer maintaining missing calls in the call log (the last "missed calls" are dated 3/22). Instead, what happens is that I'm going to take notice of the number of calls on my home screen, but then when I go on my call log, I see that calls that were actually sent or received and not those missed. Not long after that notice, the following message appeared: Eception Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException. Also, until this happened, I used to get a pop up after each missed call that would tell me that I missed a call and give me the possibility to display or dismiss the alert.   So I tried to pull the battery and all that jazz, but nothing has changed. At one point, pulling the battery caused the phone to give me some other errors of java and back to put on the original page of the home screen, but after removing the battery once more, everything is returned to my original problem. I tried pulling the battery and remove the sim/memory card, then tried to re-sync, then try clearing the addressbook of device and re-sync, tried to backup everything, then checked more OS updates (mine is already the most recent)... and now I'm stuck. The only thing I have not actually tried is wiping and nine with a reload of the OS. I would really like to avoid this

  Also, for some reason after that the software update RIM has checked my phone for its version of the OS, my ringtone settings reset itself. Not sure if this is related to the java problem or just a chance to complication/bad?

  Yes, you will need to remove the current operating system, and reload later.

  The software seems to be corrupted.

  Make sure you have the latest version of the software for your device and your carrier installed on the computer.

  It's the device, software, not the Office Manager.

  Once done, go to drive C: Program Files: common files: Research in Motion: App Loader and double-click on loader.exe.

  Once the Welcome screen appears, plug the battery in and click Next. When you see the PIN number appear after maybe a few minutes press next.

  Last night I upgraded to 4.5.0.138 4.5.077 (I think) and now the BBM is missing.  I tried several times to download App World of BB BBM, but the page does not load!  I restarted the phone and tried to access the app again and it still does not work.  Is there another way for me to download BBM?  Also does anyone know how to return to the previous operating system?  I don't know if this upgrade is really terrible. I really prefer 5.0 but Verizon has not yet released...

  Go to Options > Advanced > Applications and search and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

  Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

  After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

  Good idea! They are known as QR codes, by the way.

  In your case, you can easily do this by using a screen capture software to capture an image of your QRcode on the screen, then sending an e-mail to yourself.

  Does anyone know the advantage to communicate directly using the PIN ID to other users?

  I used the PIN code for troubleshooting, but it's not like direct connect IM.

  Pine e-mail is faster than regular e-mail because it goes directly to the device instead of having to be questioned.  to use as a GI, have used you BB messenger, just to have the other user accepts your request for PIN code and it's fast and easy to use

  Ive got a blackberry 8130 and I've synced it with the Desktop Manager.

  Whenever I pull up the address book it shows not all contact, however if I goto options and then re - sort the last name or first name then reappear contacts. Its quite peculiar from the blackberry displays that I have 426 entries in the book... but contacts never appear as long as I use the address book.

  Ive called rogers provider and Ive made at microsoft to find errors in the address book.

  does anyone have a solution to this problem?
