  Try going to your address book. Then, select your menu key. Then scroll down to filter. Make sure that you have not selected any of them. If so, uncheck the box and go back to see if the contacts are there.

  I just got a 8900 last week which has the latest version of the software on it (V.6.1.114). I transferred some of my old numbers to my SIM card from my camera, but not all - I also entered another 100 or manually directly on the device (long story).

  Now, when I get a call from a number on the SIM card, the call will display the name of the person. However, when I receive a call from a number not in the sim card but is stored memory of the native device, the call does not display the name of the person - instead, it displays the number as if it were an unknown number. However, once the call is completed, call logs show the name of the person.

  Thus, the BBERRY is not the number in the device address book when calls are coming in - it refers only to the SIM card. How can I fix it so that the contacts on the memory of the device also upward when the phone rings? Everyone knows about this problem?

  I called Tmobile tech support in the United States and they couldn't help me except to say that it was a bug and suggest to put my name on the map or by doing a hard reset...

  Mapping has resolved the problem. GroupWise has no corresponding to 'Direct Connect' field. To facilitate data entry, I traced the Direct Connect field in my 8350i with paginator field in my groupwise address books. Now Synchronization Manager BB the nextel direct connect #'s.

  The steps are:

  In the upper frame of the BB desktop, select Configuration synchronization; address book; Advanced; Field Mapping (bottom of list). Map an unused field in the address book of GW with the direct connect field in the 8350i.

  I assumethis would also work with outlook and others.

  Hello I am trying to export my contacts in Outlook, but as I have 2 address books in my Curve 8900, 2 different emails, the Director of bureau export-related just one of them.

  Try a backup of your device using a selective backup address book only, using the desktop software.

  Then, open this backup MagicBerry of Menastep using and see if all contacts are saved.

  If so, then clear the two address books by using the desktop software > device > delete > select data and disable only the address.books.

  Remove the old account from your BlackBerry Messaging.

  Now to restore the previous backup to your BlackBerry.

  I lived a few problems with my Blackberry Curve 9300 (very slow and low application memory, etc.) and so I decided to restore the factory settings. After that, I restored my backup file but when I finished the configuration and tried to change the input language, the Portuguese file was missing (I only have English and English WE available).

  I have instaled the firware once tried to restore a backup completed yet another, but nothing has worked so far.

  From your post, I can't say whether you have followed all the necessary procedures. Therefore, you might need, some, or none of this...

  Language support on a BB is a combination of:

  1. Installation on your BB, a bundle of BONES which includes the language of your choice
  2. Including, in this installation, the language you want (two locations, I recall)
  3. Activation, on the BB, the language of your choice

  So, please, start here... it's how you choose the package operating system appropriate for your needs:

  Then choose your package via this Portal:

  Then, from a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model number) to a BB via this procedure:

  • Don't forget ICT the boxes on the screen to select components to install, ALL those relating to the language of your choice

  Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML...   I upgraded my version of software from 8320's to v4.5.0.81 recently. When I open my address book, there is a wide space between the contact list. This is eqivalent to double-spaced typing in Microsoft Word. I am able to see only 6 names to atime on the screen. Any suggestions to fix this? Thank you.

  There is unfortunately no way to disable the new look of the address book. This is the way that all the books addresses with OS 4.5 and higher. You would have to downgrade the OS less than 4.5 to go back to the old look.

  I forgot contacts first name, last name and the name of the company, but I was sure I could take it from a list if it was short enough.  I tried to search by city, I knew.

  Search address book function returned "no address", but when I finally remembered the contact first name I was able to find the contact I wanted, in the returned list.  And there, in contact info., big as life, was the city initially tried to search by.

  It seems that you would be needing a third party app to open the backup .ipd (search for ABC Amber IPD Converter) file or synchronization with an application of organizer of personal Outlook data and research in this way.

  When I sync my Tour9630 I don't find contacts in the list of contacts of WIN7. I have 321 contacts in my Tower and 71 in Outlook Express. When I sync it says reading contacts from Windows address book 321. Is there another file in the windows Desktop Manager is written in too? I tried a search in WIN7 for the address book, but it came in white. Thanks for your help

  Please see this KB. The address book of Win7 is not currently supported for synchronization. Therefore, your contacts might go to one of the other PIMs that you mentioned. I suggest you choose a PIM to use, and then configure the synchronization all with this.

  Thanks to the entry... Finally solved the problem as follows:

  Bishop Bureau would not recognize Windows Mail which is the replacement for Outlook Express. When exporting contacts WM two ASCII headers does not correspond to... In the device business telephone Email & phone working in the device's Internet connection. Changed the headers in the file ASCII for work phone & user defined 2 and matched user defined 2 to Inetrnet connection in sync settings.

  Here, RIM could solve these problems & save customers hours of research, time & effort.

  I recently bought a Curve 8330.  I downloaded my Outlook AddressBook for the 8330, but names appear first then last name.  I would like to have on the Blackberry as the name then the first name.  Then family name is first of all the "classify under ' on Outlook 2003.

  Open your address book > Menu > Options > General Options > sort by = family name.
