BlackBerry smartphone screen locks when you use Blackberry "BOLD"

I administer a BES Blackberry Manager 4.1 running. We have a policy of lock screen that hangs on the screen after 30 minutes of inactivity. We have recently migrated to the Bold 9700 devices. Users are complaining that their device screen blocking and require a password even while they actively use it. I have experienced this personally as well.

Is this a known phenomenon (one hopes) a documented fix or solution?

    Thank you both for your responses.

    I managed to find a solution to my problem, so I thought I would post, not only for the benefit of third parties, but because I thought it was funny when I realized what was causing the keyboard lock.

    When I have my BB out on my desk, I put on the case. I noticed the other day it was light as soon as I picked it up and goes dark as soon as I put it down.

    I checked for password, settings etc. of the screen and couldn't work on what was going on.

    Then I realized, because I rely on the case in the same way that he would lie if it was in the Holster, the magnets (I think there are magnets in the Holster?) were lining up at the BB and she believed that it was inside the case.

    Solution: I know put on the case, but turned around 90 degrees so its cross-cutting installation. Solved :-)

    Several users have some severe in Photoshop CS6 screen flicker when you use type tools more large brush (cloning, Eraser, brush, healing spot, burning and dodging).  As many on this thread know it's ugly and unusable! The glitter is widescreen black boxes, sometimes the entire screen goes black.  It only seems to happen when we put the cursor on the image to change.

  • Print layout on screen rotation when you use the arrow keys

    I must have accidentally pressed a wrong key combination.  Now, when I use the arrow keys on the keyboard while typing of text, orientation changes screen, according to which key I hit it, I hit the down arrow, the text on the printed page rotates 180 degrees.

    How can I fix it?

    I googled the question of fun and learned you can hit CTRL + Alt + an arrow key to change the direction of the display on the monitor.  Pressing on the same new keys cancels the function.  I must have accidentally done to create the mess in the first place.

    I've done the same thing if I had rebooted the system.

    I have 4 sons written to a database and each thread attempts to get a value of the same sequence. Falsely (as is the nature of these problems), I get a LockTimeoutException when the threads call com.sleepycat.je.Sequence.get(Sequence.java:341)

    If my interpretation is correct, it seems that two threads try to promote a read to a write lock lock, which they cannot do because the other thread is read, and this results in a deadlock.     Uses internally a LockMode.RMW sequence during playback to avoid promotion locking issues, if it is not.  Looks like you're passing a transaction to Sequence.get, that holds the lock until you commit the transaction.  I suspect that you use this operation to other operations, and it may be deadlock prone.

    Although Sequence.get allows passing a transaction for ultimate flexibility, normally it is not a good idea and has little benefit.  Instead, pass NULL to use automatic update of sequence validation, or use another transaction to update the sequence.  If your transaction user abandons, the sequence will not be cancelled, but is normally not a drawback - it only means that, in this rare case, some sequence values will be unused.

    If the reason for which you pass a transaction durability or use a specific TransactionConfig, then create a transaction just for this go to Sequence.get and validate immediately thereafter.  Or, if you simply want sustainability NO_SYNC, open the sequence as a nontransactional data base database and pass NULL for the transaction parameter.  This latter approach is what I recommend, assuming that you do not use HA to replicate the sequence database (in which case it must be transactional type).

    In my opinion this problem is only related to this because the Media Player DVD player everything works
    For example, I use VLC media player for all my audio and video files. It s a small freeware player that can play most audio and video files. In addition it s not necessary to use a special DVD playback software.

    I use Windows 8 on laptop ASUS K55A. I use an external monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW). Everything works fine except that I do not get the maximum resolution on the external display. The only way I see a sort of an overview of the good resolution is when I choose "extend these screens", but it's very uncomfortable when there's always one screen, I don't actually see.

    We use mstsc to connect to our Windows 2008 R2 server. Not everyone uses the same font size and screen resolution. No way to change this on an individual basis? We all get the message that "display settings is not editable in a remote session.

    Since I bought my M40X 141 in July 2005, I got black screen frequently when you use the wifi.

    You know this black screen with typical noise from the hard drive.

    Your laptop should still be guaranteed if you bought in June 2005. Take it to your authorized Service Provider nearest and have their say. They should already provide for a procedure for this and know what to do. Sure the frequency that uses WIFI and display inverter coincides, and you get the black screen. Change them should fix this problem.

    Good questions. I can speculate only at this stage. I guess that since it is updated by BB, they use a revision update for all devices to facilitate management. AT & T updates their different, since they have different methods of approval (Note T-mobile even updated as unlocked devices). Unless you want to get specific version of AT & T that could fix something that the other version does not work, I'd wait for the OTA. I did three refills of OS because I couldn't OTA of AT & T, and they take a lot of time. Take the time then to restore and to reconfigure all the settings you had before. Not funny.

    To be more precise questions. Depends on you, but for me, would be updated via OTA only now that it's available. Yes, if you want auto charger, use AT & t. even as before, wait for OTA, unless you have a specific automotive need load the operating system.
