  Hello everyone, I reccently purchased a vodafone bb 8900 to my friend, I unblocked him today and I am currently using a 02 sim card. My companion had set up on the phone but deleted emails before you send the phone.

  My problem is when I try to configure my emails I go to Settings / Setup Wizard / Configuration of email, there is no option to create or add an email account. Only the possibility of using a professional email with an Enterprise Server account. And there is no shortcut to the e-mail settings in the setup folder.

  does anyone know how to configure my e-mail from here?

  PS This is my first blackberry and I am a complete novice with this stuff so if you can keep things simple, it would be greatly appreciated thank you Ryan

  It is likely that some of the seller in the first element steps were not completed... those that must be made before continuing. I suggest to do it again. More... your friend got it on BES? If so, there are a few extra steps (in this picture) that must be made.

  My brother gave me his old storm. I put my t mobile account chip and bought the data plan and most of the functionality seems to work (I think).

  Email my brother is still in the e-mail button and blackberry cannot connect to the mail server so that I can enjoy his email and put mine.

  Also when I make a call the "My number" shows the number of my brother.

  Is there a way to fix this. He needs to unregister somewhere. He needs to go to his carrier Version to change something?

• BlackBerry Smartphones alarm does not work in the morning?

  I'm new to the Community Board and blackberry.  I have a problem with the alarm, I had my phone for about a week and the alarm has worked very well.  However, this weekend it stopped working.  As well as sounds made in the morning.  I double checked to see if it is in night mode and it is not.  I'm frustrated with it.  Should I get the app from quick pull to reset the memory and all that?  That would help?  Thank you

  In fact, I downloaded quickpull and restarted.  I set the alarm for 5 minutes later and it started working again.  I put it to reboot every day in the late afternoon, as suggested, it seemed to have fixed.  Thank you!

• E-mail blackBerry Smartphones e set up impossible?

  Recently, I bought a curve 8520 to replace my old model Pearl. It has an e mail set up wizard which only offers an option of blackberry e mail. I want to load my own e-mail but prove impossible. I went back to the store where the techno leader spent two hours before sending me away with opera mini installed saying who should do.

  Still no joy I have loaded information old Pearl in new phone my emails have changed if I don't want that appear now. Any ideas?

  To use the Push RIM owner messaging capability, you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have a compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), then you will have personal email added to the e-mail Setup Wizard.

  Hello.. I would be grateful if someone could help me.

  I have set up my rehearsal time of alarm 15 minutes in the calendar options. But whenever the alarm stops, the time of repetition (displayed on the snooze button) is 5 minutes. Not sure why it is happenning... everything that I'm missing?

  and

  I want to use the blackberry enterprise server server

  my blackberry has only one option... enterprise server one.

  now I do not work in any desktop environment, so it's of no use to me... I want to use the first option, which is not my phone.

  did someone knows a way I can get around this?

  I need to download different software so I can access the first option?

  All the services are controlled and delivered by the mobile service provider. If they tell you that they do not support the BBs through SIM prepaid plans, then it is what it is.

  Each company control services they support with different service plans they offer. Some allow the BBs on prepaid plans. It is up to each company to choose what they will provide.

  Email on a BB is not only function of any kind of BlackBerry® App, rather, it's a service that requires the use of servers and others, hosted by carriers and the BlackBerry that allows to send to work on the BB. These servers are for BB users only and therefore require subscription to a data plan that allows access to these servers... What that be cost factors a company decides (each of them choose themselves).

  So, in the end... If that carrier tells you that pre-paid plans do not for access to the exclusive services BB and you must have a contract plan of them to allow this access, which is an authoritative answer, since it is the only source that can know this answer. You might get an answer different from another carrier, since each of them defined their own plans/rates/services.

  I am sure you have answered this question than a gazillion times, but I just bought a second hand Curve 8900 after losing my Bold 9780, I restored my last backup to the phone that's fine, but I don't get the emails.  When I go in the Setup Wizard, the only option I have is "using a professional email with Blackberry Enterprise Server account."

  I myself have snookered by my last backup is restored and now it won't let me "add new accounts?

  You need a plan of data at the appropriate level of complete BB... generic data plans do not include the services of e-mail on a BB. You need to talk to Vodafone.

  Hi - After the upgrade my Curve 8330 on Verizon for OS4.5 was last updated, I have now twice on my BB calendar entries. Suggested one after setting your default calendar on BB (in addition to destroy the device calendar and then resynchronize), but my only options with regard to the calendar by default are either yahoo or gmail - is there a way to set Outlook as the default calendar?
