BlackBerry Smartphones ATT Curve 8900 -... broken screen trying to backup - stops the browser data cache

How can I remove (saw it solved problem a precondition of the user)... when I do not see the screen (reason I had to replace the phone).  Just trying to save the old to new curve 8900.  Thank you.

Photos should be on your microSD card.  Simply drag the map to the new device.  If you have pictures in the memory of the device (and not on the media card) they appear in "storage of content."

    Hello

My BB used to plant recently and does not start until I have remove and replace the battery, yesterday I was on a call when it crashed I have replaced the battery, but he would not return to the top!

I read the previous posts however I could not find a solution, I know that this is not a screen problem because when I blace battery I get "Blackberry" and the loading bar, it loads for 2 ~ 3 seconds then the white screen, seen a lot of posts to check the application loader but I don't have it on my PC.

My PC cannot connect to the device, I removed the battery and plugged to upgrade, but my BB is on the latest version.

    Help, please...

The links themselves did not work? Or you were able to get the articles, but the information contained therein were not useful? I can't say enough...

I have not apploader on my PC if this is helpful to all.

If you have installed, your PC, the desktop software and/or a bundle of BONES for your BB, then you apploader. Reference:

But, to start your diagnostic efforts, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

If there is no Safe Mode, I suggest that you test to see if your battery is causal. Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must be directly connected to a charger checked (not PC USB, not a docking station):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

Otherwise, then you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to internet by wifi when stop the data plan

    Hello
I use a Blackberry M1, provider of Singapore internet service.

To manage the use of the data, I turn off the data plan across mobile networks, but then I also cannot wireless internet. Why is this?

Furthermore, how to manage the use of the data? I want to use the service plan when I need to minimize the use of the data, because I only have 1 GB for free a month.

    Thank you.

If a good Wi - Fi signal and a network connection is available, your phone uses by default the Wi - Fi connection automatically IF this connection remains strong.  If your phone is having trouble maintaining in this regard, it will return to your network connection and exhaust your monthly data allowance.

What about applications that can monitor your usage, someone else will have to intervene with a response.  Your carrier should have something available to monitor the use of your data.  Calling it couldn't hurt.

I hope that clears things up for you.

I tried to update and it has messed up.  Error 507.  I tried to reload the software but the pc is no longer recogizes to which it is attached.

    Help, please.

It simply means that the device has no operating system on it. Do this first:

Download and install your operating system on your PC.

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-8900-series-discussion-Javelin/193197-latest-OS-8900-4-6-1-3...

Restart the PC and plug in the appliance when it is restarted.

Then follow the instructions in the link above using the loader.exe file.

    IF none of this works...

You will need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:

I still have the same problem, someone has any suggestions?

    Hello

In this case I recommend to use the application loader to reload the software on your BlackBerry smartphone. First make sure that you download and install the software on your site of carriers here: http://bbry.lv/cp57Eb.

Loader.exe is located in C:\Program Files Research In Motion\Apploader.

Make sure that the BlackBerry smartphone is connected directly to the computer, if a laptop computer and plugged in the back if a desktop computer.

Once you open then the click of application loader.exe. In this screen, you will see the login box. Connect your BlackBerry smartphone at the moment to see if it is recognized by the application. If it is not the battery and try to connect to the battery (it should display PIN USB: UNKNOWN) go ahead and click Next once the loading process starts, replace the battery in the BlackBerry smartphone.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones old Curve 8310, point Orange & some functions limited-Solutions?

It of a former silver/gray Curve 8310 works very well except no text. Did a hard reboot, wiped phone, downloaded news and updates of the site Web of BB. ATT network. There is some restriction on the phone that keeps me change features, formats code or firewall. To what I want to change (like the formatting of the text), there is an orange dot, an indication that this issue is not editable. Maybe it's old corporate phone with restrictions. A judge strange hard reboot does not eliminate the restrictions. All solutions? TKS

Hello and welcome to the community!

If there is a latent policy, there is only one way to remove it... and while I can't tell exactly what you hear of "hard reboot", this probably isn't the appropriate method. To check, however, see this:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

And, even if it seems to result in a negative, there is perhaps a COMPUTER policy on board... 'stealth' rare, but they exist. To clean, you must do:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Of course, remember to take a backup before and after restore... but do not make big. One of the saved databases contains policy COMPUTER and, if you restore that, you'll be right where you started. On the contrary, only backup/restore these specific databases that need you, specifically avoiding those that relate to politics. You can find a complete set of instructions in the thread linked to my auto-sig on this post.

    Good luck!

  • Valid question, no sim unlock blackBerry smartphones on Curve 8520

Hello everyone would be grateful for any advice. I just finished the contract with Orange in the United Kingdom with a Curve 8520. They suggested to address a 3rd party unlock code editor, as their internal system takes at least a month to give the codes. I thought it was weird, but hey ho... I therefore now a code release, but to the point where I type mped and am about to give the phone code, I get the message "no sim" valid", and I can't enter the code in. Mped watch phone locked to the network screen.  I wonder if the SIM card is corrupted or damaged in any way? I haven't used the phone for several months that I had and didn't want to pay for a kidney and my first-born on roaming charges.

Is there a non - SIM solution to unlock? I'm far, far away from the United Kingdom, in order to replace SIM Orange is not an option.  Thanks for any help

    Dave

Do you still have the card SIM Orange inside there? Have you tried to do it without a SIM in there or an another carriers SIM card in the phone?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones GL. URGENT URGENT - I forgot my password to the curve and now am on 9th attempt, will not go there now

What is the way to reset a curve password that I forgot?

You can not. Do not forget that you are using a BlackBerry smartphone and not a lower mark. If you can easily reset the password, so someone else could.

You maybe just bite the bullet on this one. I just hope you did a backup of the data with BlackBerry Desktop Software and/or BlackBerry Protect.

    See you soon.
