BlackBerry Smartphones backlight turns off after that I have a dial

Whenever I have dial a number, the backlight turns off until the time wherever I disconnect. So if anyone wants any information about me that is stored on my phone, I can't just read from the phone. I got to wait for the call ends, find the info and then call them back!

What is the use of call waiting if I can't see who's calling while I am already on another call.

It's frustrating, I tried Googling, but have not been able to solve this problem. My bb torch is only 7 days old!

Help, please!

p.s. extending the duration of backlight in 'options' doesn't help either.

Your flashlight is not only a smartphone, it's a "smart phone".  When you dial a number and place the phone in your face, the photocell detects this and turns off the display to save battery power.  If at any time you need to remove the phone from your face during a call (to add some numbers or receive another call, etc.), your phone reactivates the backlight, so you can see what is on the screen.

If this isn't the case for you, remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it (to do outside of a call, not on a call).  Try once more after that to dial a number.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 Blackberry Smartphones constantly turn off, won't stay

I would like to apologize in advance if this question has been asked before, I tried looking for a solution to this problem, but I can't seem to find the right answer.

Today, after a full day of use my phone normally & no problem my phone turn off automatically. I didn't think much, I just turned it back on. After doing this, I noticed that he couldn't quite charge throughout the Blackerry splash screen. I initially attributed a low battery, because he was dying. Now that I'm home and I plugged my phone in charge that the real problem begins to manifest.

He's trying to turn it on every time, it is trying to load via the Blackberry home screen, sometimes it gets fully load, sometimes it doesn't. If it isn't, it shuts off and restarts this whole process again. If it does get through the splash screen, I can access my home screen, but after a few seconds it stops again.

I did a battery pull, even removed my card a few minutes - no change. I thought that I could reload the software and restore everything, but it will not even stay on long enough for me to check all parameters in this topic.

Does anyone have advice for me? I hope that my phone is not quite dead.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Good luck and let us know!

so the only thing I can do is, press the power button to stop bad then press power again turns on, my monitor works normally
try to stop and then turn on again in a few hours later, problems still comes once.

from the moment where I install Windows 7, I use 8.15.10.1930 version of the driver (downloaded from Download Center of Intel, which included Assistant TV Intel)

I use this laptop for about a year and a half and there is nothing wrong with my battery before replacing the motherboard

any help would be appreciated :D

    Hello

Talk about your screen, the a graphics driver causes this malfunction with resolution and turn off. Go to the page of the toshiba driver and download the correct Vga driver for your model. I see, you are running Windows 7, if there is no driver for win7, try the vista driver.
On your power supply, you have used for the year and a half and he is released in 20 minutes, there is nothing strange. It's standard for power supply operating period, need to be replaced. Just to be sure, you can check with a new battery. You will see that the trick works as expected.

    Welcome them

  • My "BOLD" of blackBerry Smartphones is turned off as soon as the loading page less reaches the quarter

Hello, I woke up this morning and my phone was working fine. I am back asleep and woke up it was off and everytime I try to turn it on I see the red light and then it starts to load until it reaches the quarter or even less, and it shuts off and restarts with the red light and the loading page... etc. What should I do? I mean my phones not died and I bought a new battery for it, so the problem is not the battery

If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, or constantly restarts, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • Memory card blackBerry Smartphones keeps turning off my blackberry...

my memory card was functioning normally (SanDisk) until yesterday when it started to turn off my bb and any other bb when I place in them... I don't want to lose the my data plz help!

I even used memory card reader nd itt ddnt work...

    Hello

To diagnose correctly, follow these steps:

    (1) Insert your card in identical property and known (as it is 100% certain that he can read a card BB) BB... see what happens.

    (2) insert a well-known (as it is already formatted to and useful in a same BB) media in your BB card... see what happens.

You already point is just 1... According to me but point 2 will give the final decision as to whether it's your card or your BB that went wrong. From what you say, it looks like your press card.

It also seems that you already have the next thing... using a card on a PC reader. Therefore, it is likely that all is already lost. You can try various recovery tools, but those who are usually much less success with memory devices traditional FLASH with magnetic disk drives.

As with all things in the category "backup", it's a good idea to copy your media to your PC card whenever attach you it. Of course, it is something that must be done before the problem arises.

    Good luck!

  • Sat Pro A60 - screen backlight turns off after the connection with the Vodafone 3g data card

I have a Sam Pro A60 which took a mounted Vodafone 3g data card. It connects OK data card but then the screen becomes 'empty' you can see the icons if you get the light from the window in the right direction, but permanently unusable.

A reboot and the screen comes back. Are there keys, I can try to put light or ideas to test if it's a hardware or software problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It s a very strange problem. But I'll try my best ;)

I noticed a similar problem on my second book. The display light didn't stop but the blue screen of death (BSOD) appeared and I could not continue my work.

After a lengthy investigation, I found some useful tips.
Someone told me that I have to disable HT technology (Hyper-Threading Technology) in the system BIOS settings.

    It's a key!

As I remember the Satellite Pro A60 also supports this Hyper-Threading Technology.
You can disable this function in the Toshiba HWSetup tool, in the CPU tab.

Check it out and maybe it's a key as in my case.

    Dude good luck

  • Option no. blackBerry Smartphones to turn off the automatic signature

I just got the blackberry Pearl... and there isn't an option to disable their auto signature "Sent from my BlackBerry® with SprintSpeed Smartphone".  When I go to the e-mail settings (or other parameters in the message section) there is not an option for auto signature or even add a signature.  Any ideas on why it would be or if there is an upgrade that I need to download to be able to disable this option or add a signature?

I don't use a Blackberry Enterprise Server with this account, but do not know if it matters.

You must log into your BIS account and click on Edit next to your email and then delete the text in the signature field

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone turns off automatically

For some reason, my phone (Blackberry Curve 8310) keeps cutting off on its own, and then when I try to turn it back on, it will not. So, I have to take the battery and again to bring it back on. And my phone is not yet dead, or on a low battery. Any help?

    Yes, it's free.

Follow the directions here and you'll be fine. Perform a full backup of your BB first, using Desktop Manager.

Attachments are not downloaded in the default BlackBerry. They are downloaded only when you specifically choose to do. There is nothing that you need to configure to do this.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones QUICK TURN OFF / ONE RING

    Hello

I went through the user manaual for Curve 9360; looking for a quick stop ringing/off voltage. Pressing the key 'A' is a quick & easy to lock the keys. Is there a way fast & easy to stop the ringing/disable? If you are in a place where the cell phone rings does not fit, it would be nice to silence the beast quickly.

    Thank you

    Hi Tachyon2,

    Welcome to the BB community...

Use Curve 9300 n in this when the phone rings, if I press the trackpad, the stop ring (maybe too much work for your model of BB)... best way to stop ringing if suddenly your phone starts ringing at a place where it shouldn't sound...

Next, you can put your BB "vibrate" mode by pressing the "Q" for 1 second and to change to the previous mode, simply press the 'Q' again for 1 sec...
