• BlackBerry Smartphones BBM, FB and other applications does not not in wifi!

  Was wondering if someone could help me, I'm going crazy! I got a blackberry torch for awhile now which i had bought in England, I live in Spain since September and have used the wifi in my house here in bbm and use all applications, etc. I've recently returned to England to visit and returned to Spain yesterday and connected to my wifi but my bbm, email and fb and all other applications do not work, but I can connect to the browser! I tried different things to make it work again, for example, draws on the battery, taking sim in and out, making sure the data service is on! The wi fi is certainly connected as the signal in the right corner bar is white! Anyone know how to make it work again, he always worked completely fine!

  I am completely new to blackberry and quite confusing.  Let me apologize in advance, as it's long and this device is much more involved than anything I've had before.

  When I get an email with an attachment (in this case, I myself sent a .doc file to test from a yahoo account) I get "the type of attachment cannot be viewed on the device.

  I just received my BB Tour today and was able to set up the email fairly easily as it is on a POP3 server.

  I activated the Go service Documents, it seems I have the Viewer (I followed the instructions to check another thread for the curve I think and he appeared in critical Applications, so I don't know if this applies in fact to the Tower, but I found what I think I'm supposed to have under options/applications configuration / advanced and then saw less 4.7 Core Applications under net_rim_bb_docview modules).

  I tried to restart the unit, but no luck.  I installed the Desktop Manager and followed the instructions to install/update all.

  So far, I have about 4 hours in this trying to read previous posts and the support site, which covers me.

  Since I just got today, is it possible that there is some sort of shift?  I got an activation message that asked me to leave Messages on the server, I did, so I think I am activated I get by e-mail and can send.  But, once again, to this news, it's all a bit overwhelming and me thinking I should have already activated the data with my Motorola Q package.  I will continue to play with it, to see if something clicks.

  Could someone direct me to a guide of type Blackberry 101 also?  I did find the manual very useful because I can not even find in it if I can set how often it checks for messages, or if there is a way I can put it to check every 5 minutes or only on request.  So, if someone can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful!  Also, need to update my Microsoft Outlook contacts list, but no luck learn how do that with success either.

  I know that there is a lot in a single message, but thank you for indulging in a beginner.

  I got it to work somehow, in actually button connections and mobile network options, and I ended up running a diagnostic test.  I found that by going to essentially every menu and submenu and hit bb button to see what other options he gave me.  He showed Activation of data Radio as No, and a whole bunch of strangers underneath, so I thought that something was not right with the connection somehow.  I turned all the connections off the coast, and then on again and ran another diagnosis and miraculously everything started working.  I knew I had another message for activation at this time, if something is obviously not the first time around.  It was the service books being returned because I disconnected then reconnected?

• My voice blackBerry smartphones is blurred and other sounds

  I got my BB curve by AT & T for about 3 months. A week ago my voice started sounding garbled and unrecognizable to anyone I talked. Didn't matter if I made or received the call. I left voice messages of others messages were also blurred. This happened to my house in Maine, but also place of my mother in New Jersey, so that rules to low signal strength.

  Everyone knows this or know how to fix? I can't really use this phone at all and have been using my Treo work!

  Try to remove your battery and replace after 30 seconds, which allows your phone to reboot.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps and Storm 9530

  I tried to download Google Maps on my Storm 9530.  I go to the Google site, enter my mobile number and wait for the text message that never comes.  And I can't find a site to download the Maps on my phone directly.

  Everyone knows about this problem?

  Does anyone have a solution?

  (1) how can I manually put the unit in standby mode? I check message frequently, and I feel that if I can put sleep (disable screen) manually after each audit (rather than letting the time-out of 30 seconds), I can save a lot on the life of the battery. Is there a sleep button?

  (2) with regard to the call to the top of the keypad or keyboard uppercase; How can I lock it? For example when I want to type in a bunch of numbers or a bunch of letters, I am struck repeatedly, the digital key or uppercase before each key. I learned to believe there is a way to lock it in. A double-tap does not seem to do.

  1 sleepmode works with a magnet (make sure that you get one is designed for the storm)!  You can try the lock button in the upper left corner of the phone.

  2. If you want to make a bunch of numbers, hold the button that changes the numbers for about 3 seconds and it crashes until you hit it again, he returns to the letters

• BlackBerry smartphone App World and other apps have disappeared

  I checked the settings > Applications and its there but there is no icon and I don't know if I can create one in the settings menu?

  It cannot be found in any folder, do not understand how it can be in the settings menu and still it cannot be found anywhere.

  Maybe this was published may not.  After that I have that market, it seems my memory that BB works better.

  Under settings-> Options-> memory cleaning-> ENABLE Security Options of->.

  After doing this, it seems to work better.  It also gives the possibility to choose and you want to clean the areas as well.

  Give it a shot and see if it works for you.  If so, let everyone know on the subject.

  Hi all.

  I'm new here and I'm new to Blackberry.

  First off the coast, I had a Blackberry 9000 last week, but she has someone to another email set up on this subject and I can not understand how to change. I downloaded to my computer and it connected but I have no idea how to change because I want to set up a google mail.

  Then, I have a problem with bluetooth. I can connect to other damage and it works very well on the hands-free and also I can send files ok but I can receive even if I have been through the creation and does what I think allows files to be received.

  Then I tried to use Tapatalk to some of the other forums that I use, but every time that I down load the application I does not work on my phone, it says only: can not be found. Now I have asked on the tapatalk forum but have had no response, so I was wondering if anyone here has tapatalk running on BB here and if there is something I need to do

  first to change ar add email accounts, you must go to the home screen and select the installation folder, u must find the icon of configuration of the e-mail that allows you to edit, delete or add emails

  I have read several useful messages that indicate that if you have AT & T they block the function BB maps from your phone.  Does anyone know if AT & T release if requested functionality.  Looks like a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has tried.

  IMO; If you buy a product with the functionality, you should be able to use it. I understand that AT & T Navigator subscription option, however, a consumer must be able to use all the features of the phone that they have purchased.

  I downloaded other apps, google Maps and Mapquest.  Just irks me that AT & T would block the feature.

  No they will be not unlock it to an application. Their representatives can not as "AT & T" version is loaded into the phone in this way, not something can change a rep. Its their way of saying you get Navigator... but fortunately there are several services available such as google maps map

• BlackBerry Smartphones Invalid email and password on blackberry 9790

  I have been using everything ok through POP3 email on my blackberry for the last six months and then all of a sudden yesterday asked me to check the password that I tried to do it but the only message I get, is that my user name or password is invalid.  This is not the case, as I am with the same username and password on outlook and my Ipad and these work perfectly. Can anyone help?

  We had a problem with our email on Wednesday, it is now sorted and the passwords have not been changed.

  I tried the hard reset, tried to set up online service, free books works and still will not accept the good user name and the password.  It's driving me crazy!

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  2) Remove and return Service books

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  3) restart

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.
