BlackBerry Smartphones BB Maps - no cards

I have a BB 3 9100 Pearl, v5.0.0.604, with Telus Mobility.  I live in BC, Canada.  I have BB Maps 5.0.0 with 5 modules:

  • net_rim_bb_lbs
  • net_rim_bb_lbs_api
  • net_rim_bb_lbs_lib
  • net_rim_bb_lbs_resource__en
  • net_rim_bb_lbs_resource__en_GB

Around a month ago, I had problems with BB Maps because it would find my place but did not display the map.  So, I deleted and tried to reinstall OTA (over-the-air).  It did not work - gave me the tape.  In reading the other posts, I understand that I must download card through my PC to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0BB.  So, I downloaded BB Desktop Software 5.0 Service Pack 1 (5.0.1) - I do not have download 6.0 because it is a work of BB and I am a user of BlackBerry Enterprise Server.  I then downloaded the software for BB Pearl 3 G (9100), ran the BB Desktop application, resettled card BB, and unfortunately, BB Maps still does not work.

When I run BB Maps, he finds a satellite, he finds me, but no maps.  More precisely:

  • When I select find location and where I am, all I see are the fine diagonal lines and the red spot there where I am.
  • When I select the start GPS navigation system, it is satellite and poster here where I am, my speed, number of satellite units - up to 11 and my direction.  However any card.  Sometimes, I have a clear screen that surrounds where I am, but sometimes I see thin diagonal lines, but they can move in a large rectangle that I move (IE.  the fine diagonal lines form a big retangle that moves around the screen compared to my place.  When I Pan, I also see white circles with 2 brackets curve occasionally
  • When I select local search and type in the coffee, I get the message error "a network error was encountered.  Check your server settings.
  • When I do a location to find and select advance and type in an address, I get the error message "request to the server failed.

Any suggestions?

Yes, go ahead and remove this software for the 8520.

Then on your device, go to your Options icon, then device > all device Versions. Your current operating system will be down on the third line and will look something like this: v7.0.0.xxx.  You can probably download the website of your provider or on our forums here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps

    Hello

Wanted to install google maps app on my BB Bold 9930. Can someone help me with a link to OTA?

    Hello

I guess that you already have a BlackBerry data Plan on your SIM account!

After that download Google maps have restarted your device by removing the battery while it is powered? If this isn't the case, then do it.

In addition, if you are inside your House, then move outside or on an open lawn launch Google Maps. Also in your device, the home screen > Options > device > location settings > make sure that location Services are TURNED ON.

  • Book of phone blackBerry Smartphones copy to SIM card

    Hi all

I have a question: I card double SIM (one in the blackberry Curve 8320) and the other in my car phone, I want to copy my phone book to the SIM card that goes into my car phone.

I found how to copy a contact by contact on the SIM but it last too long.

Is it possible to qualify the default storage for the SIM card contact or to copy multiple contacts on the SIM card?

    Best regards

  • OS update blackBerry Smartphones with another Sim Card

I have a unlocked T-Mobile Blackberry Bold 9900 that needs upgraded software however, I unlocked my phone and switched to AT & T. Which leaves me with the question of the operating system... can I select T-Mobile or AT & T when I reload my OS with an ATT SIM cards on an unlocked T-Mobile phone?

P.S. The reason why I ask because when I insert my battery, my phone has reached 75% charged, then freezes. I tried the "alt + right shift + delete" and the tricks of the 'Safe Mode (back button)'... but they do not work because the phone is completely frozen. This is the reason for my wanting a total reload of the OS.

Sorry for the typos... I use a droid and I want my BlackBerry back.

Instead of an application, Google maps has a mobile version, you might be able to use with the browser.  That's what use users Z10 and Q10.  On my Q10, it works very well with traffic and other features.  https://maps.Google.com

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Alltel 8130, download card media failure

    Hi all

Little new here and really wrong with uploading the photos of my press card. (the download worked in the past)

    Here's what happens:

    Open the Desktop Manager

    connect blackberry, enter passwords

Select media--> photo card, as soon as I click on the pictures in the folder office bluescreens and must power down.

I can see all the photos on the blackberry

I uninstalled and reinstalled Office Manager

I have charged the Director of bureau to another computer and tried to download with the same result - bluescreen.

    is there hope?

There is hope: do not use the Media Manager.

Do not open the Desktop Manager. Simply plug the blackberry. Look at his screen, at one point, that he will ask for the 'Mass Storage' mode. Say yes, and the Blackberry will appear in your Windows Explorer as an external hard drive. Your photos are in the folder Pictures\.

  • Contacts list copy of blackBerry Smartphones to the sim card

How to copy the list constct the torch b on the SIM (as a backup)?

You really want to copy them to your SIM card, you can have only a single phone number by name, and it is not easy. And you get no email address that you have registered in your contacts.

Make a backup of your device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and the PC. Much easier.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Maps on Orange UK (resolved poss)

Hi, I put it in its own thread now that the majority of users wanted the cards on Orange UK.

    Link to thread

I just followed the steps provided, it was very easy and I now have the BB Maps installed and works absolutely perfectly on Orange UK.

Apparently this same procedure also works with Vodafone UK and probably many others.

I kept the just installed Google Maps if the BB Maps turns out be pale by comparison, in which case I will just delete it.

At least now I have the opportunity to try the app for me instead of some big conglomerate decide for me.

Sorry for the quality of the picture but it is very difficult to get a good picture, you can see my operator is Orange and BB maps is there on the homescreen.

Thanks also to my daughter Neve to ask to show this picture is not a fake.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS on SIM card

    Hello world

Hoping you can help.  I am going through a separation with her husband right now and I was told to save all my text on my SIM card messages - I want to know how I can go and get them and print them off the coast?

I don't want to pay for an app to do that!

    Help, please!

Make a back of your BlackBerry to your PC, using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

You will then get the MagicBerry of Menastep software for free and extract your SMS to XLS or CSV file and print that file from database.

I don't know why (or how) you would save them on your SIM card. You will need to find a way to print them, unless the person who you told to do that, will also tell you how.
