BlackBerry smartphones recognizing a media card

I recently bought a SanDisk 8 g media card, but the Blackberry does not recognize it (under 'options' 'memory', it says "card is not currently inserted in the machine", but it is inserted). Can someone help me to know what I have to do to make the Blackberry will recognize my media card?

Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Here are the sizes of cards that you can add, determined by the OS on the device:

BlackBerry Device Software Media card size limit

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 up to 2 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 up to 8 GB

How can I move my device for media card apps?

I have the Blackberry Pearl 8120

    Hello

You do not have. To operate, the applications must be installed in AppMemory. There is no way around that. There are a few applications Add on who will try to trade in and out of AppMemory apps in the application, but none of those who have really taken on.

    Good luck!

  • Problems of Smartphones blackBerry 8310 curve and media card

OK here is what I am working at the moment: BB Curve 8310, PNY 2 GB MicroSD, 4.7 to the BB Desktop software and 4.5.0.110 to BB device software. I have Auto enable Mass Storage set to OFF.

Here's the problem: yesterday I was transferring a bunch of files on my phone before going to work. The process takes more time than I expected so I click Cancel to stop the transfer. Kept, always transfer. Click on Cancel twice more, never stopped. So I unplugged the USB to the phone, went to work. At work, I check my phone, and it froze. Can't do anything. I take the battery on a couple of times, the phone will come back on, working for about one minute, then freeze. Now when I do that, it's frozen once it comes back on. Even trying to get into the desktop software, it freezes when you try to load Roxio media manager.

I took the media card, and the phone works very well. I even transferred the data on my laptop so I wouldn't lose it and reformatted the SD EEG. the same results above. Everything is up-to-date. I wonder if it's just a problem of press card or a phone number. If I buy a new media card, everything would be fine, or will I get the same results?

    Please help me.

I have the same problem.  I have actually became a new BB and had successfully moved the chip (even) of the old on the new 8310 8300 and looked to see that my music was still on it and accessible.  Then, I installed the BB desktop software and moved some pictures on the chip.  Then I stop office and disconnected the BB.  Then, I noticed that the BB has been frozen.  I'm not sure what the connection is between the chip and the office, but I think that if I remove the pictures from the camera, I might be able to work again.  I'll also have to check the setting of the card of support on the BB.

If someone has already solved this problem would be great.  I was happy to have the work all.

  • Applications blackBerry Smartphone installation on SD card, NO device memory

I just got my first ever BlackBerry (the bold), after using Windows PDA for several years.  I installed a few third-party applications (a few E-books) by using the Desktop Manager.  I don't see an option to choose if I wanted the apps on the SD card or in the device memory, so I guess that they went to the memory of the device.

Is it possible to install apps like e-books on the SD card instead of the device memory?

    Thank you.

    Adam

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

No, it isn't. Apps won't load on press card.

You can use a third-party application, Aerize App Loader, to load the Setup file for an application to the media card, and if necessary, aerize will install the application in the device memory.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones and the memory card applications

is there a way to downloap applications on the memory card and run those apps on the card?

You can for some applications only and it is a minority, as most of the applications cannot be implemented with external memory

Example is recipes Halloween BEIKS for BlackBerry

    Snip http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/4121

This product is specially optimized for minimum memory requirements and optimal access speed. It can be installed on a primary or on a media card extension and once installed memory, do not require or use the network connection.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB 8830 Media/Music question

I can't play all the multimedia files on my BB. I can see the example files on my BB and the files that I put on my media card (not encrypted and mode of mass communication is not not on) but when I choose to play nothing happens, that is. The cursor don't move, even if the 'play' button has been pressed. I played the files on my BB before so I don't think it's a problem of compatibility of files either.

So the only thing I changed is that I've recently updated my BB 4.2.2 desktop software 4.3. So, I did a uninstall and then new installation of media manager and Device Manager. I don't know if this would cause the problem?

in any case, in short, I am confused, the multimedia files (audio and video) are there, but they do not play on the bb, not even the examples that it is bundled with the device... Ironically, the rings still work and play.

Any help is appreciated, and I apologize if this has been posted before, looked, but can't find it.

    Thank you...

Yes, I've been playing with this for two days.

Remove the battery off... count to 30... Power again and it works.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones copy to SD card

How to copy my photos from my old SD card for storage of media of the BB?  I can only do one at a time.  How do you select all?

I would be when you are connected to the computer with the media card and peripheral storage media showing as removable drives... and then drag and drop the whole lot of them.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Alltel 8130, download card media failure

    Hi all

Little new here and really wrong with uploading the photos of my press card. (the download worked in the past)

    Here's what happens:

    Open the Desktop Manager

    connect blackberry, enter passwords

Select media--> photo card, as soon as I click on the pictures in the folder office bluescreens and must power down.

I can see all the photos on the blackberry

I uninstalled and reinstalled Office Manager

I have charged the Director of bureau to another computer and tried to download with the same result - bluescreen.

    is there hope?

There is hope: do not use the Media Manager.

Do not open the Desktop Manager. Simply plug the blackberry. Look at his screen, at one point, that he will ask for the 'Mass Storage' mode. Say yes, and the Blackberry will appear in your Windows Explorer as an external hard drive. Your photos are in the folder Pictures\.

  • Book of phone blackBerry Smartphones copy to SIM card

    Hi all

I have a question: I card double SIM (one in the blackberry Curve 8320) and the other in my car phone, I want to copy my phone book to the SIM card that goes into my car phone.

I found how to copy a contact by contact on the SIM but it last too long.

Is it possible to qualify the default storage for the SIM card contact or to copy multiple contacts on the SIM card?

    Best regards

  • OS update blackBerry Smartphones with another Sim Card

I have a unlocked T-Mobile Blackberry Bold 9900 that needs upgraded software however, I unlocked my phone and switched to AT & T. Which leaves me with the question of the operating system... can I select T-Mobile or AT & T when I reload my OS with an ATT SIM cards on an unlocked T-Mobile phone?

P.S. The reason why I ask because when I insert my battery, my phone has reached 75% charged, then freezes. I tried the "alt + right shift + delete" and the tricks of the 'Safe Mode (back button)'... but they do not work because the phone is completely frozen. This is the reason for my wanting a total reload of the OS.

Sorry for the typos... I use a droid and I want my BlackBerry back.

  • Contacts list copy of blackBerry Smartphones to the sim card

How to copy the list constct the torch b on the SIM (as a backup)?

You really want to copy them to your SIM card, you can have only a single phone number by name, and it is not easy. And you get no email address that you have registered in your contacts.

Make a backup of your device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and the PC. Much easier.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS on SIM card

    Hello world

Hoping you can help.  I am going through a separation with her husband right now and I was told to save all my text on my SIM card messages - I want to know how I can go and get them and print them off the coast?

I don't want to pay for an app to do that!

    Help, please!

Make a back of your BlackBerry to your PC, using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

You will then get the MagicBerry of Menastep software for free and extract your SMS to XLS or CSV file and print that file from database.

I don't know why (or how) you would save them on your SIM card. You will need to find a way to print them, unless the person who you told to do that, will also tell you how.
