  • Smartphones blackBerry 8100 Email history and time zones

Hello! I have two main questions on my Blackberry 8100.

    (1) I have my corporate email on my Blackberry and I can keep only 10 days of history. My husband bought a memory card of 2 GB for me. Is it possible to get the Blackberry to recognize the additional memory, and not only the internal memory?

    (2) is it possible to have the Blackberry will automatically recognize once again when traveling? I travel a lot and used to have a Slvr (before I needed the functionality of e-mail) which will change the time automatically.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    KJS

Messages on BlackBerry 8100 cannot be stored on external memory, so the memory microSD card will not help with that.

With respect to the time zone, the reason for which that I heard that it does not automatically change time zones is because it would cause problems with the calendar entries. So I don't think that there is a way to have the device automatically change time zones.

  • My Blackberry 8100 blackBerry smartphones is a teapot!

Went to sync my Blackberry 8100 last night when I got the popup saying that there was an update for my Blackberry to V4.5. My total involvement with the process had to press the button "next".

I went to check on dinner, and when I got home there was a message saying "unable to reconnect to the phone". It seems to have erased my phone firmware and it now thinks it's a teapot!

I am on Telstra and spoke to them this morning. They said that I have to send it to the 'factory' to fix.

Anyone knows if I can reload the operating system through my PC or I have to go through the Telstra dealing with strings!

Thanks BB, but I ended up just setting up my phone after I had to have the EXACT of the Telstra software version, which, incidentally, have absolutely no idea of what they are about everything!

Also, there is a litlle witch hunt because you have to uncheck the selection to save the data on the phone, or you can not connect (doh!).

In any case everything works and I am now on 4.5, find a few differences that I don't think I'd like.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Blackberry 8100 does not synchronize. Can anyone help?

I have a Blackberry 8100.  He has used to sync without problems via a USB connection on my desktop.  I didn't Sync would have for a while.  Now when I try to sync, device which is connected (Blackberry and Desktop Manager) shows.  The error message I get is "unable to connect to the device.  Please make sure that the device is properly connected and try again. "I tried to uninstall and reinstall Desktop Software as suggested in one of the messages.  but that doesn't seem to help.  I used the Desktop Manager 4.2 versions (I think), 4.7 and 4.6.  I tried several USB connectors through several ports that work for other uses.  I have Windows XP and Office 2003.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I have reset the configuration and sync worked.  Closed question.

  • BlackBerry 8100 smartphone Blackberry T-Mobile user wants software reinstalled, how?

    Hello

I'm in charge BB Manager in our company and a user on our system with a 8100 T - Mobile as active carrier asks me to reinstall the software blackberry on his device.

How should this be done essentially to wipe it and start over fees?

    Thank you

First download and install from here Office Manager (4.7 without Media Manager is recommended): https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Then download and install the software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Then try to reload the operating system by connecting the device to your computer, open the Desktop Manager, then go to the Application Loader. This will open a wizard who travels to reload the operating system on your device. More detailed instructions can be found here:

If you follow the guide on the site crackberry, on the screenshot 5, you can click on the Options button and choose backup/restore data, or delete everything off the camera.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones Pearl 8100 phone deletes text and e-mail below 400 k, 'known problem '?

I have a memory card & everything I can possibly put out there is stored there (music, photos, etc.).  I have deleted a large number of programs supplied with the phone to free up memory & have added only Facebook & a Sudoku game. I called technical support for my service provider (T-mobile) and I described my problem to them.  They walked me through how to delete my browser cache & Facebook, so I now do it on a regular basis.  I had summer through my text messages and delete the ones on a basis regular, with maybe 3 saved max.   Support says that my phone will start automatically remove my text every time messages that my free files is lower to 400,000.  My question is, what am I missing?  What else is eating my free files?  Today, I always had to take the battery out of my phone and it reboot because it says my free files sucked!  When it was done to reboot itself, it had 11 million free files!  What is the problem with this phone?  I have the latest version of the software I can get, which is a version of 4.2 because I said that T-mobile will not support the 4.3 (extremely frustrating because all the cool stuff to download requires 4.3).  I told that I qualify for a new phone without penalty in August... Should I just hard out and switch to a curve?  New models are pearls less buggy?  I really like the Pearl it corresponds very well in my hand and can easily fit in my pocket, but the function is SO much more important than fashion.

Thanks to all those who can answer me with a better solution, or who has had experience with the Pearl & T-mobile.

I used to use a BlackBerry Pearl, myself and many loved.  I found this article on the site Web of BlackBerry that can troubleshoot and it seems that some of the suggestions that you already follow:

    Hope that helps.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 8100 on TMo. 4.5 OS does not connect to internet

Hi guys. I followed the procedure that has been suggested at this link to upgrade my Pearl to 4.5 OS.

The phone can't seem to select a data connection to the internet now, although he shoots always my email and my Google Maps works. Gmail does not connect any more than my Opera Mini browser.

    Any help would be appreciated!

(Other random bits: MyFaves not loading, 2 'About' link does not work)

Should I have gone through a different process? The 4.5 OS will work OK with TMo?

    Thank you!

It certainly won't hurt to try to send service books again, at least.

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books.

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart

  • BlackBerry Smartphones differentiates 8100 8120

I have 8100 T-Mobile. They now offer the 8120. Is the only difference between these devices 2.0 MP camera and a WI - FI connection? Are there other features not available on 8100?

Very few differences between the 8100 and 8120. In my opinion not worth upgrading unless you really need/want one of the new features.

  • BlackBerry 8100 smartphones - UK - Vodafone - address book question

    G ' Day.

A 8100 phones, large, etc, etc.  However...  If I register a mobile number with the prefix of the country (that is to say + 44XXXX), when they call me, I don't get to see a name, just a number (99% of which I do not recognize), but all the SMS that I have the name of who sent them.

However if I recorded with 07XXXX, then I can see their name when they call, but just their + 44 number when they send a text Message.   The only solution I can think of is to save each number twice, once with the + 44XXX and once with the 07XXX.  This does not appeal to me also as much as there is a lot of work and makes calling someone a little more.

Is there a setting somewhere that I can change will fix this?  I hope that the foregoing is consistent and you understand my problem...

    Any help appreciated...

on the small chance that someone else has had this problem, I received an answer from our IT Department.   If you go to the log option and click the menu black-berry, then go on smart dial there is an option for "country code."  Turn, mine has been set to + 1, instead of + 44.  Quick scroll down and change of option corrects this problem.

    I feel so stupid...

  • BlackBerry 8100 smartphones and wifi

I know the 8100 does not come with wifi, and I also know of positions that, as of the 09 Jan without wifi was available for the 8100.

So please don't jump on me for asking this question.

Is it only a software problem or is it a hardware problem which stops the 8100 to be able to have the wifi?

    Thanks for responding.
