BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Curve 8330 is not receive emails from AOL

About 2-3 days ago, my Blackberry has stopped receiving email AOL also including my Facebook notifications. My Yahoo emails come through fine.

Please list as suggestions as possible I can try to solve this problem.

I requested access to my e-mail settings that I forgot my password but I have not received my password via my Blackberry - my Yahoo account is my main email account.

It's frustrating - please help!

The first thing that you need is enter your BIS account... and since you do not have these credentials, there is nothing we can do. You will need to contact your carrier they control your BIS account. You get your fixed BIS access, then try to delete and recreate the conduit BIS for AOL.

Good luck and let us know!

Update from last week, and then an e-mail address will not work.  When I contacted the server provider, they gave me the server to use, port, etc..  but I can't change these on my Blackberry.  (Or may not know where to do it).  When I remove and add the email address, it won't give me the opportunity to put the popmail address, or designate the right server and port.   Tried to do it on the computer but the phone won't allow me to do so.  Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hi wilk123,

Try to enter the parameters of advanced integration when setting up your e-mail address in the e-mail on the BlackBerry or on your BlackBerry Internet Service account settings.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones suddenly not not receiving emails

Out of the blue some days than my Blackberry not received emails from my Outlook account, however no problem before today.

Check all the appropriate settings (data services "on" under mobile networks for one), removed the Inbox all items on BB to the case where they were too big, audited helped other solution options, and none.

At the same time, do not view Facebook messages, if I can get the updates, so much information making it to BB. Just not the new incoming email and new entrants FB reviews.

FWIW, I did sent me an email from BB. Very curious! Any help, troubleshooting, this will be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • kid or childs is not receaving emails from sites of checking e-mail like facebook or I tunes

I did everything for free account so that I can check his accounts on Facebook and Itunes does not receive emails from sites and also do not have a junk folder and it will not let me.  Any suggestions would be helpful, it's a hotmail account.

    Hello

By default, the junk mail folder is not available if the parent account is one that maintains a list of contacts of the child. To activate the junk e-mail folder, the child's account must be defined to manage their contacts. Please follow these steps:

    1. connect to https://fss.live.com using your Parent account.
    2. click on change settings under the user name of your child.
    3. Select Contact Management on the Panel of the menu on the left.
    4. in respect of the management on behalf of the child of the contacts, select the child manages their own contact list.
     5. click on Save.

These steps will also address the issue with do not receive emails from these sites. Because when your child maintains a list of contacts, they will be able to receive emails from people/websites that aren't on the list of contacts.

Note: Access to this feature has been removed for users who have not already configured it. If you had introduced on the market before, you will still see the feature on the site of family safety on the left side of the Web page for contact management. For more information about this, please read the article in the link below:

Hi, I tried to update my BlackBerry Curve 8330 m, and it says here that my BlackBerry is compatible with version 5.0, but I tried to update wireless and it says there is no update available. I also tried to update the page and he told me the same thing.

    Model: Curve 8330 m

    OS: 4.5

Installed applications: UberTwitter 0.98, Windows Live Msger 2.5, Pandora 1.1.2 Facebook 1.8, Bible 2.2.1

    Hi Peter-Frango,

The list to search for available software for your Blackberry smartphone is http://bbry.lv/cp57Eb

The other list shows that your device will support the version of the appliance software, the list above shows if it is available from your wireless provider.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones my PC does NOT recognize my Blackberry Curve 8330 at all!

I'm at the end of the roll, trying to figure out this question. My Blackberry Curve 8330 just will be not recognized my Vista PC running at all.

    Here's what I know:

-My phone was purchased new may 9. It's the Verizon service, so what matters.

-My phone has a microSD inside memory card.

-(Home and car chargers) USB charge cords work to charge my phone. I see the icon taken directly to the left of the battery and it stays there until I have unplug the unit.

-I tried different USB cords to connect my phone to the PC and nothing works. When I plug in, the phone displays the icon card very briefly and then disappears. Nothing appears in the device for the USB slots Manager, either.

-All USB slots are the same, even those at the back of the computer.

-Other USB devices (iPod, for example) work very well.

-Ce How - to guide: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.id=3...

I uninstalled Desktop Manager and installed the USB/Modem drivers (as it says). Those that I have used is worm. 4.7. still nothing. I restarted the computer and still nothing. This solved nothing. (Even used such 4.5 recommended in this thread, and it does not, either.)

What exactly should I do to get my PC recognise the Blackberry? I can't do some of the things I want to do until this issue is resolved. Because the USB port works to load, then I think that it must be my computer, but where the conflict is and how to fix it, I don't know.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Believe it or not, this problem has been resolved by the simplest of ways - simple up to what I feel embarrassed!

Know how they say when he's broke to book on I have and it works? Well I hate to be energetic on electronics, but I hit just the USB cable in the port of the BB curve. Then it started working like a charm.

All that stress and all I had to do was show some muscle.

After that it would not recognize the device in Windows as a mass storage device. This has been fixed by the backup of the memory card on the PC to save my pictures then insert into the BB and put in shape. At that time I also found instructions online to change the drive letter of the mass of the F: BB storage device a letter less used to resolve a conflict.

My BB Curve is perfect now and all we needed was the strength to fix. Again, I can't wait to beat him and mistreating my electronics but sometimes it works!

In conclusion, please don't make me feel too embarrassed lol.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 Blackberry Smartphones: Spinning hourglass and no email

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 (about two months) on network VerizonWireless. Yesterday, I started to see a spinning hourglass that wouldn't go away, and now I can't receive emails. (I'm not on a customer business). The signal shows 1XEV connection and I see the ' up/down' arrows flashing periodically, but still no email comes through. All except the standard five applications are closed and I tried the option "remove the battery when the unit is running and wait a few minutes before plugging it back" does not. (The hourglass stopped for a few minutes, but came back and I'm still not received my email).

Another challenge is that I use a Mac with OS X 10.4.11, not a PC based on Windows, so I don't have the software Manager to use.

Can someone give me an option before taking this thing back to the store?

    Thank you

    m

@rmaurer: I forgot to mention the battery drain, but the mine who did as well.

The idea of 'everything back and get another' is never very satisfying for me. Especially if I have to keep doing it over and over again (like bobcawman, above), and he never really addresses the problem. If this is the case, then it seems that I bought a bad product, not only got a defective unit.

The solution for me was to back up all my data by using the Desktop Manager, then reload the operating system of the VZW website software. The process was a bit complicated, and I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact steps to share here, but there is an option on the web site for the latest version of the software (4.5 for Verizon, I think). That solved the problem for me so far. I suppose however that the real question, why what is happening with so many people. I've seen many, many messages on exactly the same thing. I wonder if it's an issue just with the previous version of the software, or something more serious with the 8330 in general operating system.

    I'll wait and see...

  • BlackBerry smartphones suddenly not receiving emails

    Hello

I got my Blackberry Curve 8330 during about 6 weeks.  All of a sudden today, I do not receive my emails.  I've checked everything I can think of--even got the curve of my husband and looked at options on each and they are put in the same place, but he continues to receive emails.  Our email provider is the same.  Thank you

Here is the solution: apparently accounts of e-mail files have been corrupted.  We deleted my email account and deleted the service for this account books.  then we have restored the e-mail account.  Problem solved

If anyone had any ideas please let me know.

    Thank you

The interface of the BB from the web interface - they get to the same place... BIS welcomed to your carrier. I personally always find more easy to use the web interface from the interface of BB. The last time I did this, the screens had the same data on each interface (they looked different, of course, but they had fields sams and the available selections).

After faking out in step 3, you should be presented on the screen on step 4... on which you need to click this radio button... who isn't? If not, how about using a valid email address, but a bad password?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Curve 8330, keep or find another phone?

When I bought my first BB Curve 8330, it was a few days after when I was told that I had to send it back and get a new one because of defects.  I came to know and love my 8330 until the trackball stopped working a few days back.  Now, it is the second BB Curve 8330 after only 1 1/2 months.  After Service of Sprint working on the trackball, they said I was approved for a new replacement phone, or keep my current phone and see what happens with the trackball?  Of course, I decided to trade once more my current phone for a new because obviously something is wrong with my current phone or they wouldn't swap a new.

Question; What is the standard?  This is common with the BlackBerry Curve 8330 or total BlackBerry?  Should I start thinking about making another smart phone instead of an another BlackBerry Curve 8330?  My phone works very well with my work email and the telephone directory.  Any suggestions or advice from the pros out there?  I was told to come back tomorrow August 07 after 15:00 to pick up a new because they are "back ordered and in stock?"  Is there a known flaw on the BB Curve 8330, I don't know.  I'd appreciate your comments and advice...

    Pchmike,

IMHO, I think that you should definitely keep your phone. While your experience with a bad phone is not the standard, any new device requires patience until the settings are completed, and learn you all the functions of the phone. Your experience with a stuck ring is an example of normal 'glitches that may occur when you start to exercise any kind of device.

Stick to these forums and it will help reduce your frustrations. I learned so much and so fast, it is the best basis of knowledge I've seen. The people on this site will go further to help, especially because we've been there.

I suggest you go through BlackBerry 101 and 101 Crackberry to help your learn faster. Here are the links:
