  I don't know what happened after race updates windows media player disappeared form start menu al together. Do a search in the system, including hidden files and nothing doesn't appear. If I select music to play it shows up but only when reading the other wise my system is no longer judge the search options. I have a Compaq laptop only about 9 months running win vista home Prem come to install some updates but do not know if maybe one of them has made her or what.   type or copy and paste-> regsvr32 jscript.dll
  Press enter

  type or copy and paste-> regsvr32 vbscript.dll
  Press enter

  Restart and if all goes well, it will run now.

• Messed up Smartphones blackBerry Media Player

  Since Wednesday night, I was not able to use the media player in my BB 8320 curve. That night, I was listening to a show via MLB Gameday Mobile audio player. Some sort of glitch that occurred during the game and gave rise to an error in Media Player. Since then, no audio web site will play in the media player; the BB is trying to open web sites in Media Player, but it still results in an error message. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

  First, do a reset of the device: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  I have a Windows Vista laptop. My Storm 9530 OS is v5.0.0.419, when I try to watch videos recorded on my Storm 9530, on my Vista computer, I get a message Windows Media cannot play this video (3GP). Is there a way to see these videos on Windows Media Player?

  You need the codec appropriate to do so. I think that QuickTime can be read natively. Or you can search free converters to translate them into a format that WMP will play.

  I have an application that stores and plays MP3s it downloads from a remote server. I use OS 4.5 and higher.

  The problem I have is these MP3s are indexed and played by the phones built in Media Player. Are there ways to prevent this from happening without stopping playback of my application?

  If you hide the MP3s files are are more indexed by media player.

• Volume of Smartphones blackBerry Media Player is always bent :(

  Use this Blackberry curve for a few months now and it has recently started to behave strangely.

  Whenever a song starts (as at the beginning of the song, or after a break and re-enable) the volume is cranked. Because I listen to a lot of podcasts that are short, I can't put the headphones in my ears at all, or I could damage my eardrums.

  Even if I lower the volume for next to nothing, if I pause and reactivate it, the volume is cranked.

  Current settings: in the Media Options, I have the following parameters:

  Media:

  Audio Boost: Off

  Equalizer headphone: Off

  I don't know what else to do. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a reliable resolution to this problem?

  Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
