BlackBerry Smartphones Can I write email on BB w/o send?

I want to write emails on my BB and NOT send them. I want that they synchronize in Outlook and then send from Outlook. I know it's backward. But I don't have a data plan and I don't want to lose $ on e-mail. I want to just compose things when I think of them and save them for later send on Outlook. If it can happen? If Yes, tell me how!

No, you can't.

1 email does not synchronize BlackBerry to Outlook with a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) account. and,

2. you need a BES data Plan for this purpose.

Alternatively, you can compose your body of email in the memos, on the BB, and then that syncs to your account in Outlook on your PC when you you connected via USB to Desktop Manager > Sync. Then you copy starting from the memo and paste it into an email in your PC Outlook.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

Hello and welcome to the community!

If it's for BES, then stop now and seek assistance from your BES admins.

But if it's for BIS-based email, so with a strong carrier network signal (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... • BlackBerry smartphones can not receive emails!

My blackberry has stopped receiving my emails to gmail.  My carrier is T-Mobile.  I did this thing Service books to return several times, but don't know what it is? I send Service books but so what? I'm not clear on the process of the SB.

I have also made many battery grips, no luck.

I turned off my connections, turns them off the phone completely for a few hours and then, still nothing.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

Finally a solution that worked! T-Mobile and the customer service unfortunately were not able to help, but research in Motion (RIM) my phone manufacturer has solved the problem of e-mail! Apparently, the old version of facebook causes conflicts with the receipt of emails.  You need to go into your Options, Options, advanced, then Applications, then click on Facebook.  Click the menu button, then select modules then scroll down your list until you see "net_rim_bb_facebook".  Beside that, you can see the version number.  You must have version 1.2.0.35

If you have an earlier version, delete Facebook.  When you remove it, you will be asked to reboot your phone.  When you restart, the facebook icon will be the "desktop" of your phone.  Click on it, and it will take you to the site, so you can download the new version.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not create email account

Hi, I'm new here (and Blackberry) and need help.

I got a used Blackberry 8330 curve and can not create a new e-mail account.  This is the message I get:

'An account already exists for this Blackberry device.  Please login or contact your wireless service provider. »

If I scroll down and press ok, it asks the PIN/EIN number, which I have input.  Received the same message.

How can I clear it so I can add the email?  The main purpose to get the BB was to use it to access my work email...

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Dorian

Thank you, thank you!  I used your links, called Verizon and cleaned it up!  I have now all accounts added (including my work) that I wanted, and we have updated my software as well.  Everything works as it should. (I no longer do not get the 'other guys' messages as well!).

    You are a star!

    Thanks for helping a newbie!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not receive emails on "BOLD"

I have updated my OS to a newer version (6.0) and I can not receive email on my phone.  He tries to connect but the message comes back that it is impossible to connect to the server.  I backed up my phone today, can I return to a previous back upward, and then restore on that?  It's back up to 2 years, how that affects my phone, it's to say, contacts, etc.

I solved the problem... I just took my battery and released.  Phone has started to receive emails from all my email addresses.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access email POP3 with Blackberry, but works fine in other e-mail clients

My company recently moved hosting of emails to a new dedicated server (with Lunarpages - www.lunarpages.com).

We have normal, ordinary POP3 e-mail accounts that is accessible through any regular desktop mail client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.)

I put one of these accounts successfully on my Torch 9800 last week and had no problem. Yesterday I deleted this account in order to demonstrate to a co-worker, how to add a new account, and I could not add a new account by using the same parameters since.

This isn't a problem of carrier or to a particular device (tried on several media and several BB devices, all without success), but it's a specific problem Blackberry. It is limited to my dedicated server as well, not all servers hosted by Lunarpages.

I know I put the correct settings in the account name, e-mail server, etc, because this worked on my flashlight and the same settings continue to work correctly with other phones and email clients.

I suspect that there is some kind of disagreement between my server and BIS. Can anyone suggest what the problem could be here still, or even who I should talk to? My service provider is unable to help because it is not specific to them and my Lunarpages server provider is completely baffled. Please, any suggestions are welcome!

    Problem solved.

If someone needs to know, http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11036 describes the IP addresses that must be unlocked in order for the BIS interact with a mail server.

However, DO NOT included on this list has been 74.82.80.0/24, another server RIM, I discovered this morning had been blocked by my server. This list has been updated end of 2011, so I guess they changed things since then. Anyway, once I unlocked which will, everything works now.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not suppress email

    Everyone - I use 8830 (Verizon), c. 4.2.2.176, BES email.

I have 6 old messages (about 2 months) that will not delete little matter what I do. Battery pull did not.  My guy TI had a few suggestions, but none worked.  They also tried to get suggestions from the RIM for about 2 months and nothing yet.  Messages are missing for a long time of my Outlook, and they are not on the server of my company.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The only suggestion I have not tried is to destroy everything on the BB and restore from a backup, but I hesitate to do - fear that I that either will get everything back, or he will get 6 messages again.

    Thank you.

I did the "before delete" - does not work.  When I try to delete one (or all) messages, there is no error message - everything seems 'normal', but they do not go far.

    I'll try your #2.  Can't hurt.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not receive emails, but can send

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get email on my new blackberry

I feel a bit thick, but my new blackberry 9800 torch does not allow me to place the staff e-mail, works only mail, any help (I'm on the right plan >?) I also have unlimited internet so why am I being charged for the data?

There are two different types of data plans, usually a plan of Blackberry and another for normal phones, this is because the normal handsets using their network to connect to the internet wherever BlackBerry using their own connection. Your plan may be to a normal phone.

If you are sure it's the right plan, then go to Menu, Options, advanced system, peripheral, press your blackberry (with doors), then press register now. In a few minutes, you should receive a message from Blackberry, saying: you have been registered with the wireless network, this will bring the service (settings) on your phone books, and, after removing the battery, you will be offered to add a personal account. If you do not receive this message, your plan is probably incorrect.

    Hope this helps
