BlackBerry smartphones can not answer incoming calls

I "missed" between 20 and 25 incoming calls within the last two days. Whenever I get a call in an application, portrait/landscape, laying on my desk, sittin in the home, in the menu screen, or in my pocket, I begin to see the incoming call, hear the ring tone and press the green button. (I tried using the tactile response option as well) and then the clock that spinning hourglass or anything like that for the following 30ish seconds and shows my storm is completely insensitive. I tried to play with almost all the parameters relating to appeals, sounds and contacts, and I left the phone to die on its own of the lack of resources, pulled the battery and it turned off manually. can someone help me with this please?

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not make a call, but can receive calls

Hello! I BBCurve9380 and somehow it just stopped making the calls, but I can still receive. I don't know if it's on the changed settings but on what I read in other forums, it's on the it policy. I checked mine and it says BBFS1 [GTALKAP1] and WLM 2.1 [WLMAP01]. I've updated all my apps and my computer can read my phone just fine. When I try to make a call, it automatically disconnects. Any help would be appreciated.

In fact, you have a lot more work to do, in light of your acquisition method. Reference:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

For step 3 stages of seller, you should replace it and it will remove unit COMPUTER policy:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

However, later, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore. On the contrary, do only a selective restore of only those databases that you absolutely need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages) and specifically avoid restore databases that have nothing to do with HIM, political, business or other similar things. If you restore those, you'll just be right back where you are now, as a full restore will conscientiously COMPUTER policy again on your device.

Note Please that I really have no idea if doing this will restore your ability to make calls... 100% of the information I have comes from what you have posted here. I'm guessing that the policy could be the cause of your problems, but I can't know that. No matter, since there is an IT strategy on board and you are not on BES, then you definitely want to get that deleted. But regarding if that will restore your ability to make calls, I have no way to predict the future... If something is the cause of this specific problem, then we'll have to deal with this - AFTER you remove the it policy so that we can be sure it does not hinder anything else.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not make a call from the phonebook

Hi guys! Can someone help me? BB Storm 9530, when you type the number to call, everything is ok, but when you try to call the same person in the phone book, it is impossible. What can I do?

    Thank you!

It could be one of the four solutions... Try these:
    1. make sure that you set your own code to the Dialer phone screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country Code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
OS5 devices: look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no
OS6 devices: Home screen > Options > Security > encryption > uncheck encrypt.

    4. go to Options on your device > Security Options > encryption > include contacts the value 'No '.

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not be sent

Hello!!  Since last week I can not send and call to my blackberry curve 8520 I don't know why. How can I solve the problem, please help... Thank you

    Hello maibriones

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

The level of voice services are associated carriers question, did you call your carrier in this respect?

Also have tried your SIM card on another device to see if it allows you to make a call!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not synchronize with the USB cable plugged into charge pod

    Hello

I read on the web site of shopblackberry.com, in the details of charge pod ( http://www.shopblackberry.com/_blackberryaccessories/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?frompage=category&page=product_d... ) that the pod can handset with charger travel or data cable for charge and/or sync with a BlackBerry smartphone. So, my question is related on a problem or a misunderstanding of me to this description.

I want to know if we could recharge and synchronize the BlackBerry via USB cable or is only responsible for the BlackBerry when connected that way. My second question is, is it possible to synchronize the BlackBerry with the USB cable plugged into the pod or not?

Because I got a request from one of my users about the fact that his BlackBerry 9000 can not synchronize when it is on his group.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

It's a loading dock. It is useful, because just drag you your "BOLD" in there and it will load (just like the 8300 Curve).
If you want to synchronize, you can plug a usb on the side of the appliance cord. This can be done while the machine is in its dock, where the description.

I have the same crib, but for the 8300. It's really worth buying. I'm happy with it every day.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Compression - enabled

Map of media Support - on

Mass Storage Mode Support - on

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone

You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

I hope that this info is another starting point for you!

  • BlackBerry Z10 z10 does not answer incoming calls

I have a new weird problem with my z10 (my only question until now). When an incoming call arrives, the screen goes to the PHONE application and freezes there. I can't do anything to answer the call. Then, when the person leaves me a voicemail, I can not the keyboard seems to get my voicemail password. The screen is still frozen on the PHONE app page. I can close this app, but the call remains open and if I click on the call (at the bottom left of the screen), it simply goes back to the PHONE app page where I can't press anything or do anything except by scanning up to close the application.

Did restart you the device by removing the battery?
