I recently changed my Blackberry ID email address via a web browser on my PC.  Changes, updates on my Torch 9850 and my Playbook.  I am able to connect on the site of Blackberry ID and my email address is confirmed.  I can't even change my password Blackberry ID of my devices.

When you try to install an application on the Playbook, I get the following error:

"Setup error: [0003-0006] there was a problem during the installation."  Please try again. »

On the Torch 9850, I can not install applications or even open up My World.  I get the following error:

"Blackberry App World is had problems connecting to the server Blackberry App World.  Check your network connections, and then try again. »

It has been several days since this occurring began.  I stopped by a corporate Verizon store on 2/26 and they seemed to think it was a question of RIM, but they don't seem to know much about Blackberry.

All the threads I found point to problems with the Blackberry ID, but mine seems to go well.

Does anyone have a solution?  Thank you.

Troubleshooting further with the support of the RIM has solved my problem.  Here are the steps I took to solve:

    1. Change my Blackberry ID email address to the address of origin of my flashlight.  I then have full access to App World through the torch, Playbook, and web browser.
    2. Created a new Blackberry ID with my new email address to confirm without isue with this address.  I was able to connect via the browser with the new account.
    3. I deleted the new Blackberry ID using the link in the email they sent me.
    4. Change my Blackberry ID email address to the new e-mail address using my flashlight.  The change has been accepted and spread to the Playbook.

I now have the new email address associated with my old ID and access of all devices.

Support said it should work the first time, even from the browser, and they will continue to try to reproduce the problem on their end.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not install new applications after upgrade to version 5

Since I downloaded something like "Blackberry OS version 5" on the web and updated my device using the Desktop Manager, I was able to download new applications.

I managed to get the BBM on - the phone would have been useless if not - but no more applications will be downloaded.

Everything seems to work, if I download via the web, or use the Desktop Manager to install applications, there are no mistakes and he said it worked - but there is no icon of the application in a folder.

For example, BB app world: says Office Manager installed, but it is not accessible, because there is no icon anywhere.

My carrier say they can not me more help because it is a question of device.

I got "view all", as well as the icons are certainly not hidden.

I've tried dozens of times battery pull.

I tried a backup using Desktop Manager, then factory reset the device, and then restored - several times.

I tried to uninstall applications through Desktop Manager and install them again.

I don't understand what the settings are meant to be changed after I do a factory reset and restore from a backup.

Is it possible version 5 does not work with Orange?

After the "Orange UK" link on this page, I see Orange lists v5 for download: http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads

I just updated to Version 5, tonight and had the same problem.  I went to the BB mobile site and there is an upgrade to AppWorld available - Version 2.0.0.36 once I downloaded, installed and rebooted, the icon was back and working.  Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not install free applications has been paid now on PlayBook

    Hello

I can't install the apps I downloaded free now are now paid-for apps on the PlayBook. In AppWorld, I get the following error:

There was a problem during the installation. Please try again

This is a problem because an application cannot be upgraded beyond this point and once uninstalled, there is no way to access it.

Everything that can be done to reinstall these applications?

It's just how the world of App works... And the main reason as a developer will stop developing for the Playbook.

As a developer, you can have promotions where you give your free app.

Anyone who gets the free app no longer considered owners once the app is normal price again. You get access to updates, or the older version of the app if you remove it from your device.

Terrible practice and really does not surprise me why RIM is not one of the leaders in the mobile plus market.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not install Desktop Manager due to the DEP.

    BlackBerry users good day.

I just of me a BlackBerry Storm 1 and I would like to install the Desktop Manager.

I downloaded the installation from the website and tried to install it.

At the beginning it goes well, that I start, select my country... but then...

... When I chose my country and I click then the installation hangs and I get the DEP error.

I looked around these forums, but I am not getting any help.

    Could someone help me please?

I'm pretty annoyed by this error.

I hope to have a useful answer.

    Kind regards

    Jurrien van Rooij.

Unfortunately not, as with most of the facilities of software, information must be written in some parts of the computer, such as the registry, and you can just use a USB flash drive to run your applications.

This error is a Microsoft Windows error occurs when Windows detects code that is run from a protected location  At this point, Microsoft is your best bet for support as it is not an error of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Finally found a solution. The cause is, "VeriSign Class 3 Code signing CA" certificate is missing and is not in the link provided by RIM in "Knowledge Base" or the site Web of VeriSign (!)  but thanks to google I found this.

    Hello world

After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not synchronize with the USB cable plugged into charge pod

    Hello

I read on the web site of shopblackberry.com, in the details of charge pod ( http://www.shopblackberry.com/_blackberryaccessories/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?frompage=category&page=product_d... ) that the pod can handset with charger travel or data cable for charge and/or sync with a BlackBerry smartphone. So, my question is related on a problem or a misunderstanding of me to this description.

I want to know if we could recharge and synchronize the BlackBerry via USB cable or is only responsible for the BlackBerry when connected that way. My second question is, is it possible to synchronize the BlackBerry with the USB cable plugged into the pod or not?

Because I got a request from one of my users about the fact that his BlackBerry 9000 can not synchronize when it is on his group.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

It's a loading dock. It is useful, because just drag you your "BOLD" in there and it will load (just like the 8300 Curve).
If you want to synchronize, you can plug a usb on the side of the appliance cord. This can be done while the machine is in its dock, where the description.

I have the same crib, but for the 8300. It's really worth buying. I'm happy with it every day.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not download Twitter for BlackBerry

I have a flashlight and recently uninstalled Twitter for BlackBerry and installed Uber Twitter instead. Since I found that I prefer the former. However, now I can not install Twitter for BlackBerry. He told me that my device does not meet the requirements.

The requirements are: 64 MB, 1000 KG free and BlackBerry version 4.5 or higher software.

I have 512 MG on my device; 3.7 GB available on the built-in memory and 2.9 GB available on my memory card. I use BlackBerry device Software version 6.0.

I'm going back with BlackBerryHelp on Twitter, but they cease to tempt me what I already tried.

I tried to download it from the page Twitter (mobile) as well as page BlackBerry.com (mobile) with the same results. I also tried to send the link by email and download it from the link. Nada. The application does not appear in my App World.

    Help? Please? I'm tweetless.

    Hello

Maybe it's because Twitter for BlackBerry is currently being updated.  Start by following these steps:

    1. with the unit, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert and wait for the device to reboot.  This will ensure that you start with a clean slate.

    2. If you have BlackBerry AppWorld, try to open AppWorld and search for Twitter here.  Twitter for BlackBerry app should be listed first.  You can then download the Twitter app from there.  This will actually give you the most up-to-date version.

    3. If this does not work, or if you don't have App World installed on your device, try to download it again from http://www.blackberry.com/twitter via your BlackBerry browser.  Now that you've done the battery pull and provided all the files are gone, you should be able to download it.

If she won't even download, let us know.  Perhaps it is that the servers are updated and which is interrupt your ability to download.  If necessary, I'll ask another user of torch to see if it can access the download.  If he can't, then we will move the info along to those who can check it out further.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Compression - enabled

Map of media Support - on

Mass Storage Mode Support - on

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone

You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

I hope that this info is another starting point for you!
