    Hello world

I have a BB Storm and I would like to know how to reset the password by e-mail. I changed it to my gmail account but I don't know how to do for the BB.

    Thanks and greetings

    Luca

Looking for other KB articles that might be helpful? Have you looked in your device user guide? I'm sorry that I have more a device inherited from BB to try to replicate the steps for you.

You can also try, if they have one, your site Web of carriers BIS of a PC/Browser...you'd, of course, ask your carrier for this URL.

Alternatively, you can try from your BB browser, www.blackberry.com/integrate

You can also contact your mobile service provider and have them change your BIS settings for you.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones change to another IMAP mail server settings

    Hello

I'm an Admin for a treatment centre and one of our psychiatrists has a BB tour. He asked me the other day if I could set up his email account on our server for him on his phone. Through the messaging configuration wizard, I selected "Other" account and configure for IMAP, and then he asked me his email address and the password. He took the domain name and assured that the names of mail servers have been so. Now in a perfect world, this would not be a problem. I recently picked up a complete idiot and this guy has our MX records pointing to a 3rd party company where all of our outside emails go and then Outlook clients are set up at the pop of this box, in addition to the installation of Exchange (I know its totally lame). Ive done everything everyone what just configure an IMAP account with the IP address of the server and mail works very well for them. I can't for the life of find me where I can actually change the names of e-mail server for the IMAP account, I have create on his tour of BB. Is this a limitation of the phone? Or I'm in the right place. Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You must use the Advanced Integration, via the BIS carrier site, and you may need to 'false' on the first step... give the email address valid but a false password... then you'll be able to get to the screens that allow you to indicate the specific server names.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones problems password change Email

I recently changed my password by e-mail, however, when I try to change the password on my torch via Setup > e-mail accounts, "e-mail accounts" does not open upward. I can't even add another e-mail account to the device. I click on the 'E-mail accounts' button and the timer will light up briefly for a second or two, then nothing.

I can open all other buttons next to the 'email address' as 'Blackberry Messenger' "Wifi" etc.

    Hello Maddog234567

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

First try a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is on, wait for a min. and then reinsert it, after reboot go to installation email options and see if that helps.

If this fails you can use your BIS Carrier site to add / modify your e-mail account or use your BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/integrate to add / edit an e-mail message.

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphone Accessing account telephone e-mail settings and BBerry

My problem is with my Blackberry Torch 9810 e-mail accounts. I have two accounts and it doesn't seem to work. I tried to access my accounts but now get a login to the screen of Bberry with [Personal Information deleted] ID and ask for password. I never have that in place. When I use the 'forgotten password' button, I get a message that reset instructions were sent to [Personal Information deleted] I have no idea how to do to access this account. Can you help me?

If BB ID is, as you say, new for you, then someone has configured this device with a BBID, and you can or don't want that. BBID is used to help to be sort of a "single sign on" to many things... BIS configuration, BBM, BB Protect email, etc. If you have not created this ID from BB, while you should really do is delete and create a new brand for yourself, that you store the credentials for, as you will need it from time to time (as you do now).

To remove the unit BBID and then create one for you, you must WIPE totally clean unit... This will make the device as it was brand new, so all the data and the applications that you have installed will be gone.

    • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

Make sure that you have good backup of everything, as you need it - you can find the backup instructions in the auto-sig on this post.

But, if there is a chance that this BB ID is indeed something you created, but simply forgot, then you can try to get back into it. To do this, start first with them please:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question
    • KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." occurs when you attempt to reset a BlackBerry ID password
    • KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address
    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with

If you have forgotten your ID BB credentials AND access non - BB (for example, Outlook, webmail, etc.) for the e-mail account which is currently configured on your account ID from BB, then these instructions should help you regain access to your account ID from BB, even without the issue of recovery or password (Please read them all carefully to find the section you depend on).

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail account, or if you have never successfully validated your BBID account, then your challenge is much larger, and you have a choice to make depending on your situation:

    1. If you have no AppWorld records you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    2. But, if you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your prior AppWorld purchase records.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones forgotten password

I received a message on my BlackBerry that says (send messages to my e-mail address and changes in your personal data (for example, contacts or calendar) are not delivered to your BlackBerry. To resume the service of this e-mail account to your BlackBerry smartphone, validate your password)

The problem is I don't remember my password, can anyone help please :-) :-) :-)

We do not know your password for your e-mail account.

You can connect to your e-mail account on a PC and get a reminder sent to you. This isn't a function of BlackBerry, but from your e-mail server (hotmail, gmail, etc.).

  • BlackBerry smartphones validate password, is no, still no email

I'm SO frustrated. For 2 years I received emails on my blackberry without problem. Yesterday, I stopped receiving them and received a message to validate the password of my email address. When I go to the Setup email, it shows my email address (which I can connect fine with my computer) and it is red and below says "invalid account. Please validate. "  Then when I go to add (i.e. the option below the directive "validate") and try to add my account with the same email address and password I've always had, he told me that my email address is already registered and won't let add me it.  I even went to advanced option and deleted my e-mail on the service folder and tried to add again and it's the same process as above. Help, please!

Hi all... Sorry that none of the volunteers noticed this thread... I hope this isn't too late...

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support... they are 100% responsible for all of your services and all your formal support, regardless of the root cause of the problem. They can escalate cases RIM that they cannot manage without charge to the end user. So, if you need to call them, don't let them you fob off... think of him that way... you pay for all the services and support, and they currently deliver.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones changes to the calendar after update

I recently did the software update proposed in consequence of which I had to re - install Facebook. Since then, I found that when I go to enter a new appointment, there are some new top that says send to help: and I choose Facebook, home, or office (the 2 is what I call my email accounts)

I don't want this option here, especially since the default value is Facebook (he seems to be in alphabetical order)

Is it possible to get rid of this option or at least change it so I can choose my own default?

    Hello

The BlackBerry smartphone has the ability to maintain multiple calendars. You can select your timetable and services default e-mail to the title of the default Services Options-Advanced Options.

Send using option is there Design and cannot be deleted because it specifies which calendar you want to use for your appointment you will enter in.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphone accessing password Keeper data using office software

I recently had a pressure of crack in the LCD screen on my Curve 8310.

I need to access my passwords stored in password keeper, however given that the LCD is toast, impossible to read anything on the phone.

I'm waiting on a replacement LCD screen, but need to pass, as soon as POSSIBLE.

Are there programs to display the program on the pc?

I tried a solution that actuall work, so I thought I'd post in case anyone else has this same problem.

I had previously saved data for my Blackberry Curve 8310 using the office management software.

I downloaded a Simulatr for my Curve 8310 and installed the software.  I found the Simulator to the BlackBerry Smartphone simulators - URL

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/resources/simulators.jsp

Once the program was installed, I ran the program, which shows a picture of the phone.

I started my office management software.

Now to back in the Smartphone Simulator

In the menu, I selected 'USB cable connected' which simulates the connection of the smartphone.

Once I did this, the office management software prompted me to create settings then phone again.

Once I implemented this new virtual phone, I restored my backup from the virtual desktop management software to the new.

I could then use the mouse to go to the password manager and open the program.  It prompted me for my password and all data appeared.

Hope this helps someone else.  Good luck.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.
