BlackBerry Smartphones Clipboard restart mode?

So last night as usual I set my alarm, plugged in my phone and set it down. This morning when I woke he was sitting there with the blackberry screen and bar it shows everything by restarting the loading screen, so, I'm like ' Oh ok... must have restarted a little, there's a reason any..» This loading bar comes to about 2/3 - 3 / 4, then the screen turns white, the little red light comes on and the process begins again completely. I don't know how long its been, but it's very annoying, and there is no way to use my phone at the moment. I want to just fix!

It take for T-mobile to see if I can get an Exchange today as it is still under warranty. My last option at this point.

How do I on my device in safe mode?

I already posted this article Knowledge Base, always check the KB17877

If possible to start your device in Mode safe to remove this application, it will solve your problem.

Or if you are unable to start Safe Mode and then follow this Knowledge Base to reload the operating system:

But please note that this method will erase your data from the device. If you have a previous backup or using BlackBerry Protect you can restore your backups.

  • Message from blackBerry Smartphones: MTP Device Mode is enabled on

I just did a hard reset (remove battery) on my Storm2 9550.  When it finished start, I started the Desktop software and connected the phone via the USB port.  I received the following message:

This Blackberry device using a connection of the PSG.  Some features of media for your device mass storage mode, which interrupts all active media transfer protocol (MTP) connections.  You want to mass storage mode?

I don't know exactly what that means or if I should answer 'Yes' or 'no '.  (I had a bit of luck you are looking for this particular online message).

The BlackBerry Storm smartphone can connect to a computer in one of the following ways:

    • USB mass storage mode
    • Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)

MTP allows a BlackBerry smartphone user transfer media files between a computer and a BlackBerry smartphone and provides support for multimedia files that have specific requirements, such as restrictions associated with the management of digital rights (DRM) technologies.

A BlackBerry smartphone appears as a Portable device in my computer when connected to the computer using the PSG. It does not appear in the devices with removable storage section and has not assigned a drive letter.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones in sleep mode no longer works since the update to v5.0.0.1036 & keyboard lock works differently

    Hi all

Hope you are able to help me with my problem

I updated my Blackberry Curve 8900 over the weekend to

    v5.0.0.1036(Platform 5.2.0.104) provider is Vodafone.de

This update was offered when connecting my device to BlackBerry Desktop Application.

After this update is completed successfully, I discovered the problem the upper top right (usually used for mute) button does not send my camera in standby mode more when you press more than 3 seconds.

This feature worked perfectly before this update. Unfortunately, I didn't know what version I was before, but as I do updates on more than less regular basis, I guess it was available previously.

With this problem, I discovered something that works as different as before.

When I press on the locking of the keyboard (upper left top button) button the lock is now enabled directly and

the screen goes black. Before this update took place the owner details appeared when pressing this button and the display dims after the set time turns off.

The details of the owner are correctly added and appear when you go to properties-owner.

I made a secure deletion (security options - remove security) unit and started from scratch twice already, but the problem remains the same.

Is it possible to get at least the day before running again.

I m using a case-mate case with built in battery I want to reboot my BB when no plug is available. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a magnet which send the device to sleep automatically when plugged in the case, so this manual standby option is important for me to

extend the life of the battery.

    Forward to your response.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

Of course, you can ask that... the most effective thing would be to go through your service provider for their support and to make this request. RIM/BlackBerry will listen to the questions and some of them (I think) much more than a user, that the carrier has more weight and shoot.

I'll add that... This change in characteristics were made from last March, in ALL the operating systems for all devices... and has been included in all since. And then that there was much complaining about this function since then and during that period it have upgraded the OS in all areas, I don't think he'll change - in the next version for sure, or after. There's a reason any, they did this step in this direction.

But the call of your carrier is the best way to make your voice heard, I think.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Reboot/restart

    Hi all

I use my BB 9780 for the last year and had no problems with it, but now when I go into the messages/emails it restarts automatically. If anyone knows how to work or to deal with this problem?

    Thank you

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now try again to your e-mail and let us know what happens.

  • Phone of blackBerry Smartphones constantly restart after updating to firmware 4.5

The problem you are experiencing is related to that map, during the upgrade of the OS 4.2 to 4.5. It is pretty well documented.

The support card contains files of thumbnail.dat which are formatted for OS 4.2 and are not compatible with the 4.5 OS and cause a constant reboot, scanning the card out of holder, etc..

The workaround is detailed below, if you wish to go back to OS 4.5 (I'd do it, there is no reason that you shouldn't).

Read this on how to correct the media card (courtesy of John Clark, a different expertise here in the Forum):

    1. remove the card multimedia unit and put it in a card reader. This makes the rest of the process much faster. However, you can do it with the card in the camera.

2 copy all the contents of the card on your PC.

    3. replace the card in the camera and go to Options > Media Card > Menu button > card. You wipe the card and reformat. (if using a card reader to remove the card and put it back in the drive).

    4. now copy backup ONLY in the media to the device. Don't copy back all the 'BBthumbs.dat' files or all system files. I went through the entire folder and delete all .dat files before copying the content of the music folder and the folders of photos to the device. The device will re-create these files. Also, I is not copy folder "current music" but rather just copied content and pasted into the folder \Blackberry\music of the card. Do this for each folder.

    5. Once finished put the card in the camera, and then try again the media App. He must walk to the music. If you have a lot of music can take 5-10 minutes. When scanning, you can open the music application and you should be able to see the songs move in the list when the device will navigate

If after the transfer of all your files back, you still get a stuck scanning bar or device restarts so you have a file in conflict on the map. I saw video files to do this, but it could be a music file too or (less likely) an image file. Remove all the files you transferred and see if restarting to stop him. Then add each file one at a time to see if you can narrow the file which is the cause. When you have found the folder, and then you can refine to a particular file.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones mass storage mode

Where on my BB Torch mass storage Mode?

When you are on this screen, press the BB menu button and another menu should appear with the feature activate.

Anyway, when you connect the device to the computer, you should get three options, which one is the Mode of USB storage.  What to choose, and then the options of WIndows for the USB storage should appear.  At this time, you can open the folders on your device, then drag and drop what you want folders on your PC the files on your device.

You are able to reboot your device in SafeMode as shown in KB17877?

I guess, because it is taken in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the desktop software it does not have a stable connection to reinstall your software?

If this is the case, remove the battery and keep it off when you connect to the desktop software. You will get a pop up that the device cannot connect and there should be buttons retry, update and cancel. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

When the load progresses, you will see a step that says "waiting for initialization of the devices '. At this point, insert the battery and recharging must complete.

Hello how to solve this problem, I'm having with my phone.it restart attomatically and keeps on rebooting all minute.should I replace my battery? Thanks in advance

First, try putting a piece of paper or a company carrd cut, folded on the battery and replace the cover back on.

If it's a loose battery problem, that could help.

    If not, please post back.
