BlackBerry Smartphones Dual numbers?

OK, I have the round for the Sprint, but I also have an account with AT & T for the job, the tour has CDMA and GSM is supported and I had the sim card in the tower and was able to make and receive calls from the number of AT & T, but the number of Sprint has been temporarily disabled until I went the change in settings to return to the other service. What my question is, is anyway having both active at the same time? I don't care what number he uses when I call or text, I have pay two bills, I just needed to have AT & T to work, it is not a company phone, and I don't know why I don't get rid of sprint, I just refuse to get rid of so lets pretend that the option is not there. So, as long as the phone rings whenever one of the two numbers is contacted, all right. Any ideas? Or am I in the hope of something that is not possible? : Insert sad face here:

EDIT: Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

No, you can't dual on a single device numbers, otherwise as you do to forward and backward.

OK, so you need to start with is the following:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

The steps of the WIPE removes prevention device-lock password and return the unit to (almost) a State of "new factory". If the device is locked by password, then you just keep trying until exhaust you all attempts, how much the device will perform the WIPE to remove this password.

Be aware, however, that it didn't is not held here which may have to be performed by the actual owner of the disk... for example, the former carrier may refuse your request to release the BB ANKLE of their BIS system so that you can have your door - create an account BIS for the device. You are not the owner of the disc with that carrier, but as you go through the required legal process, the police various or other reports that you hold some sway with the former carrier.

In addition, it is possible that the previous owner reported to their carrier (and other authorities) as lost, and the unit may now be on the blacklist, which will prevent its features on any carrier anywhere, anything else is done. But, again, these official reports, you have maybe a few extend.

You do not want to check if the device is carrier unlocked or not... If not, then it can only serve as it is originally made for door. Reference:

However, even if unlocked, so also reported as lost, then it still won't fully work on any medium. Except again once you use your police service and other reports as stabilizing with the carrier imposed on the lock.

Also, be aware that no BB devices are universally functional on all carriers. First, each model is made with only a few radio technologies and frequencies that the unit can operate with... and can operate on carriers that operate on those. In addition, each carrier decides what specific device model numbers that they will support for these features BB... If the carrier does not have this device as supported for automatic broadcasting HRT and address book maintenance, then full BIS functions may not be possible, even if it is consistent with what the carriers of radio signals.

You have a lot of work to do. Good luck and let us know!

My blackberry 9360 a curve was stolen a few days ago, I never it synced with my computer but I still saved on blackberry protect and I can access my data if I go to protect.blackberry.com and login with my blackberry ID. I see that my backup files exist but I can't download them and I can't get a new blackberry at the moment but I really need all my contacts and phone numbers, is anyway that I could retrieve this information on my macbook?

    Hello

BB Protect backup files are only single use... to restore to a BB device. It has no other use of them. Where the reason for which this BB Protect is a component very well to a good backup, but in no case should be considered to be the only component.

If you can access another BB, even for a short period, you can restore it and then save it on your computer, from which you can get 3rd party applications to extract the local backup data in human readable format. However, I've never heard of these tools for MAC... but also, I don't look for MAC stuff.

If you don't try this (restoration of BB Protect for an another BB), you must be very careful... to refer:

Indeed, these IPD files are backups of your BB and are available as a source of food (they are a proprietary format and cannot be used for any other purpose, except by a few 3rd party applications that have been written to analyse). Choose the most recent one (the one with the most recent date and time, as displayed in the File Manager Windows) using this procedure:

I recently bought a smart phone BlackBerry - curve 9360. I have in what concerns the protection of data on my camera and the account connected to it. First of all, I wanted to if a blackberry smartphone is hackable and how it is to viruses and threats.

  • Contact information for installation of blackBerry Smartphones.

I recently purchased the Blackberry Torch; the numbers were transferred over my old Blackberry Pearl phone.

One of my many Contacts had NO code appearing in front of the 7 - digit telephone number.  I tried to text him and of course, she came back with the error message.  I went and edited the number to include the area code (made a 10-digit number) - and I still get the same error message.

I deleted this contact 3 times and entered its data with different names - but the same phone with all the 10 listed numbers - and I still get an error code when I text.  I just listed the number under the 'work' instead of 'mobile' - always impossible to send text.

I called him - no problem; He can call me - no problem; He can text me - no problem; I just can't text or make a text.

What is going on?  Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Smartphones Dang sure too!

OK, sounds similar to something that happened to me last week, I tried to call a number instead.

Look at your call history, by accessing your Messages folder > press Menu > folders > phone call logs and you will need find and remove all previous attempts to call this number.

Also, in the same place, watch sending SMS and delete all previous attempts of SMS.

Your device "to remember" and use these previous calls to that number as a story of several parameters and if you remove all the people, I would then do a full restart on the device, in this case > with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now, after, you have removed all instances of old of the call/SMS and restarted, try again.

  • Unlocking blackBerry Smartphones 8830 World Edition GSM and code provider

    Hello

I'm a guy unsavvy tech and have an 8830 World Edition phone. Bought this from Auntie Indicom (Vendor ID: 269), a CDMA operator which also provided a GSM SIM for only international roaming. Last month, number portability Mobile came into India, and I went to a GSM provider, Vodafone India. After the transfer of numbers, simply inserted the new Vodafone SIM and the phone and Blackberry services are working well with the new operator. Two questions:

    1. from the Options-> advanced-> SIM card Options, after typing MEPD, I see:

    ID: a large number

    Customization:

    Disabled SIM

    Active network

    Network subset disabled

    Service Provider disabled

    People with reduced mobility

Does this mean that my Blackberry is locked? If Yes, is it blocked by Vodafone? Given that I have moved the Auntie service provider Vodafone and does not seem to wear the same number on the same phone, aunt locked the phone.

    2. type Alt-EACE, I always see the Vendor ID 269 (Auntie). See also the logo of Auntie initially upwards. Is it possible that I can change the ID of the seller or at least stop getting the start screen for the old vendor? This ID Vendo has something to do with the above-mentioned lock?

Would be very grateful if some kind soul illuminates.

    Thank you

    Paul

There must be something different on a BB WE that allows the use of other SIMs, though always stuck at home carrier. Odd, but your experience proves the theory. I seriously doubt that release will make a difference, but certainly to try I guess.

I don't know why your BB is as you describe... but, I want to propose the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried. However, you want to be careful here. I don't know how you originally got your BB running services on your current operator. All BB services are controlled by the Service books. If a carrier does not natively support a BB model on their network, there are a few things that need to be taken to get these SBs on than non-native BB. If only it had to do, don't go here... you could just wipe out all your services level of BB. But if none of these tricks are required (which would mean that your carrier supports natively your BB model), then you should be safe to go ahead.

Steps 1 and 2 each should translate into a message to your BB to come:

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Maybe it will make a difference. I really do not know about you, to be honest. It's a tricky business, and you can well serve just as well by getting a new BB you get from your carrier... which by the way, you would have at least that the formal support at your disposal channel.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I edit my Contact list of my PC?

When I connect my BB 9800 to my laptop I don't see the list of contacts on my BB using Windows Explorer.  I would like to be able to do this because my Contact list only contains phone numbers (a report of my previous cell phone) and I want to add email addresses.  I have a lot of entries to change and it would be difficult with the keys of BB.

If I can't do it while only connected to my BB is there a way I can do a "Contact list" on my PC and then export it to my BB?  Thank you, Peter

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A few things to discuss... so bear with me...

    (1) contrary to others how things, RIM does not provide desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (2) RIM provides a device switch Wizard to migrate from another SmartPhone to a BB... but only for compatible devices. See this KB:

    • KB05459 How to use the switch device Wizard to switch to another smartphone to a BlackBerry smartphone

    (3) If your old phone is not compatible with the wizard, then RIM more offers the possibility to import ASCII and CSV files. See this KB:

    • KB04312 Create and synchronize with an ASCII export file
KB11194 How to import contacts from a CSV file to the BlackBerry
    • Sorry, but RIM does no research on how to get your data from your old device and in ASCII format or CSV... it is a function of your old device.

So your choice is, IMO, to continue to use a desktop PIM for your data (and you should, IMO)... then choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then download your data from your old device and the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:
