BlackBerry Smartphones GPS and Bluetooth

I plan to make a device as the Motorokr T505 that let's you send call cellphone via Bluetooth from the curve to the T505 so that there the hands free and easier to hear via the T505 speaker.  I would also like to convey instructions from my GPS to the T505, but I don't see any curve setting that would allow me to do.  Does anyone know if the GPS data can be sent to a Bluetooth device?

I found the solution.  When I tried to make the GPS directions stronger, I pushed the speaker button.  Much to my surprise, he looked for the bluetooth device.  When I turned on my helmet, GPS voice instructions went directly to the headset.  It works very well.  The only problem is a slight delay.

Problem solved. Now if someone could just find a way to get the sound of the Sprint TV to the bluetooth headset...

OK people, I know that out there, someone has a solution for this.  It seems so simple, but so far I didn't get a response.  Here's the situation.  It is difficult to hear GPS directions by the Blackberry Curve speaker.  I would like to send the directions to my bluetooth device or if it is completely impossible, voice instructions for my headphone plug.  I tried the two and no work - the sound contiues to get out of the enclosure.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Audiobooks and bluetooth

Anyone know if you can listen to audio books through a jaw or any other bluetooth device?

    Hello

It is an mp3 file which is compatible for Blackberry. (Audible.com)

on the site of the jaw
"22. can I listen to music on the jaw?
It is possible, but the sound is not stereo. "Also because the jaw is optimized around voice and no music, the sound quality will be not what you are accustomed to the audience through your standard stereo headphones.

  • 9.3.2 GPS and Bluetooth degraded service

I started having problems with my GPS and Bluetooth. GPS is not able to follow in my mapping applications, including Google Maps and Waze cards. At the same time, my Bluetooth headset quality is terrible. I tried the headset on other phones and it works very well, is not the headphones. It does not appear the Bluetooth and GPS issues are correlated.

I took my phone to the Genius Bar yesterday and the Apple representative told me that she saw this 10 X a day recently and indicates a bug fix has been presented.

My question is how many others have a similar problem? I am surprised that I can't find references online if there is a widespread problem.

What else the genius said it another she saw this? They will tell you that there was a problem with your device? If your camera is out of warranty, you were offered an out of warranty replacement?

"How many more?" Hard to say, but you don't speak with Apple here, so no one would know how many people have reported this.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    See this KB:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Unless you're on BB OS 6, do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Setup of blackBerry Smartphone email and BBM number on 9780

    Hi all

Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

    For bbm:

I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

Please help, I don't want to empty this phone!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with my little problem.

Did you mean that your emails and text messages are coming in the same folder? If so then try the following-

    Separate messages-> Options-> General Options-> E-mail and SMS: separate

If you mean your different built-in emails appearing in mail and separate mail folder then please be informed that this default happenes. BlackBerry smartphone is designed as such if you think this is awkward, can hide Messages folder (press the Alt button-> click-> Menu select hide).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones GPS on any area network?

Hi, I m new with BB but I want to know something, can I use the GPS function or the WiFi features on a place that has no cell phone network signal /... for example, if a trip to another country with no active roaming?

    Thanks in advance.

GPS on blackberry requires NO wifi or data.  BlackBerry maps, google maps and most current main GPS apps for blackberry require data or wifi, but it's a limitartion of these software applications, not blackberry devices.  There are other FREE applications that DO NOT require any data plan.  Nor do even need wifi connectivity.

Google search for 'Mobile GMAPS' download the free app on your Blackberry.  It can be used completely with just your phone internal GPS and mapping files that have been downloaded to your SD card.  Or, if you want, you can use the wifi instead of data, but there is absolutely no need for any connection other than via the internal GPS device once you have maps on your SD card.  Mobile GMaps is not nearly as feature packed as GPS applications more mainstream for blackberry that currently require data plans, but hey, it's a free app and you will save data charges.

Once you have installed Mobile GMAPS on your phone, you will need to use your PC and go to www (dot) mapcacher (dot) com and create a mapping file using google, yahoo or live maps.  Just select the area of the map you want, select zoom levels 1-16, choose the amount of detail and then click on the button to begin to build your mapping file.  The file will be created in a few seconds.

You must then import this map file into an application like v0.7.2.2 gmapmaker mgmaps (dot) com/www cache (point) and install it on your pc as well. Import the mapping file into this tool and your map will be created.  There are a few different tools that can do the same thing - you can learn more about the different ones on Mobile GMAPS forums or better yet the site Crackberry - this is where I originally found the tutorial for this process.

Get the built cards is not difficult, but it may take some time depending on your broadband ISP, the size of a map that you create and the amount of detail that you put on it (zoom levels add more information and you can choose anywhere between 1-17).  Then there is also the matter of getting the map to your sd card file once it is built because there will be a lot of small image files and folders Windows PC may not like if the structure of the file is too big.

I recommend trying a few small test cards (like just your city) so you see how it works, try the different zoom levels and details.  After a few tries, you'll know how to create the perfect cards and the best files of sizes to easily copy maps on your SD card.

It is not the best tool, but it is available and it is free and can be used anywhere and anytime - as long as your GPS can find the satellites.  I imagine that there will be much progress in other programs that do the same thing, because the free service is the way to go!  I hope that the major GPS manufacturers take note and join the herd by creating SD maps for blackberry devices too (windows mobile and symbian phones have this option) or they'll be next to lose a lot of money.  Why would anyone want to use their data plan to use the GPS when it should work on its own?

The answer THEY will tell you is because it allows you to get the latest maps all the time, it's a limitation of phone blackberry that data is required.  This is total Bull * if.  The cards are always changing, but not enough to justify the cost of data each month.  Their is a lot of software SD card capable apps out there (TomTom, Garmin, Navigon, etc.), but they only work on Windows Mobile and Symbian, and because Blackberry push data, the SD versions have not been built yet.  At least with this tool, you know it is possible and can stop believing the hype of data plan.  In addition, if you want new cards, you can go out and download a new one whenever you want and copy it in your SD car.

Enjoy your free, anytime, anywhere, GPS and pass on the good news to other friends of blackberry.

  • 'Security software audit' blackBerry smartphones frequently and can not stop it

I have a Torch 9800 - that I bought second-hand with a full reset. I got all my contacts and details copied by my local orange store.

I'm totally new to Blackberry, and I find it very frustrating with an action of 'Check' security software often happening on my phone. The screen goes black with the Blackberry logo, and a white line slowly updates. Everything that happens I can't action one of the buttons.

I went to the Options > Security (no services) state information > Blackberry button > check security software

It passes through loads of ticks and said passed safety tests. But this action has not prevented frequent checking.

What I am doing wrong? Or what should I do?

Well, it's completely different. If your device is second hand, so now you go ahead with the measures of the seller and the buyer steps in the public knowledge base article:

  • Contacts blackBerry Smartphones Nokia and Motorola conversion in Blackberry contacts

I got a deal of my new carrier for two new BlackBerry for the price of a more expensive. So I got a 9700 "BOLD", then my wife receives a Pearl 9100. Now, previously, we used two different phones, she was using a Nokia 3500C (GSM), while I was using a Motorola KRZR K1M CDMA (). I tried port both of our lists of contacts from phone above.

First, I tried to copy the contacts to my wife in the Nokia SIM card. I then put the SIM card in its new BB, and it would not read the SIM card. I guess that's because BB is locked to a specific carrier. My carrier unlock our phones until we've been with them 3 months, that use me at the moment.

Then I simply imported contacts into our PC with Nokia Software and then saved your contacts file to *. CSV format. I also did the same thing on my Motorola, with the Motorola software and also recorded one *. CSV file. When I tried to read the two contacts in the Blackberry Desktop Manager, he returned with an error:

Error has occurred. Error code: 0 x 80040057.

    See the documentation.

I think it has something to do with some of the fields that exist in a phone but not the other. I would have thought that their Intellisync software would know how to take care of this? It's the exact message even if I don't speak of contacts from the old phone to Motorola or the old Nokia phone.

Same thing when I try to import the calendar entries too.

This KB, provides a sample CSV (bottom of the KB, a link)... This might be useful in your quest.

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphones Outlook and BB not wireless sync. The BES.

    Hello

I recently changed from seven years of Windows Mobile to BB. I am on a BES and the changes I make on the prospects to your desktop or Blackberry (Bold) are not synchronization in both directions. It's frustrating. My COMPUTER helpdesk advised me to "clean up" the BB a couple of times and we did it. Also my manager office of BB is not configured for synchronization as by their advisor who they explain everything is wireless.

It of frustrating and makes me think how it was easy with Windows mobile. Help, please.

    Thank you.

Your BES admins should work on the issue of synchronization.

For the issue of the separate boxes of Messages, see this...

By default, BES email is made only in posts emails BIS icon/App are placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

Your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

    • KB15003 How to create an icon on the BlackBerry smartphone to BlackBerry Enterprise Server messages

Or you can get the application to empower BES Inbox. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server level and affects only a single user.

Neither solution would do anything on Messages - will continue to contain what it contains today. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your home screen that is a filter for your BES emails only. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

Or, if you have the correct device OS version (I know for sure it works on 5.0.0.32 8 of the storm), the device gives you options for what to display in Messages and you can remove BIS email accounts.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

    Good luck!

Can someone please tell me how to get the cards and use them on my 8310 as a gps travel card. I use very often and that you don't really want to pay for them.

I saw a discussion on free google maps.

    Help, please

    Ash

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Google maps is a free application that uses the GPS and triangulation via cell towers. If your GPS is enabled it can be very accurate. If your gps does not find a satellite, Gmaps will be triangulate your position within 3,000 metres.

The cards are excellent, provide traffic, both in turn. Satellite image shows as well.  Allows to search for the company and displays the phone number and address. You can click on the number to call.

Again, it is free, so you can lower the load and try it.

    Here is the link: http://www.google.com/mobile/default/maps/index.html
