  Last night, my Blackberry is not completely unblock after as I type my password. I type the right password and press ENTER, the password input section darkens (or it will stay on the "Enter Password" screen and seem to freeze). (If I type the wrong password it just invites me again, so I know I type the password). This is according to that multiple battery pulls.

  Sometimes, after you type the password, I can hold the blackberry button and it will bring to the top of the box that allows me to BBM, browser, homescreen, etc and I can "switch" to this program, but there is a sort of shadow frozen area enter the password on the app that never I going to and I can't use the keyboard or the trackball in these applications.

  This "box of jelly ' prevents me from using any application on my BB!

  I CAN receive calls. Barely. I can only make calls if I remove the battery and only unlock the phone and go to the option to purchase the place.

  I upgraded to OS 5 a week ago and until last night, things were fine. I hear my BB when it receives messages (work tones) or txt etc, but cannot read anything due to the lock!

  The only suspect is Google Talk, I have installed two days ago and seemed to be hogging resources and drain the battery, however the phone worked well for about a day with it on. Google Talk is perhaps run at startup and hang up things? I doubt it, but it is full disclosure.

  I also, pulled battery and removed the micro-sd card to see if it had an effect - unfortunately nothing helped.

  An analogy I can think of it is as if Windows Explorer is blocked, but everything else works.

  Try this:

  (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.

  (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

  'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

  (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
  (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
  (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Try UNclicking the Google Talk application and remove the device and we'll see if that is the question.

  NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

  Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  Once again, if its only some websites that will slow down it would lead me to think its end a problem the site rather than your phone.

  If all Web sites were slow, it would be referring to your phone or your carrier.

  Your previous lock icon is now only enabled when you have set a password on the device.

  If you have not set a password on the 85xx you can press on and hold the mute (on the upper part of the unit) to lock the keyboard. Or, you can press and hold down the a button * to lock.

  When you set a password, then your icon will return to the screen and is called Password Lock.

  Is it possible, a third-party application perhaps, to lock the screen on my Storm during a phone call? Sometimes I have to Secretary for a while and cradle of the phone on my shoulder. During these times, I either end up the person I'm talking inhibition or try to dial a number at random my contacts inadvertently. I've heard from a third-party application that is supposed to lock the screen during calls, and I'm willing to bend on this if someone can make me pointed in the right direction, however, I would like to know if there is a setting on the phone itself which can be manipulated to prevent face composition.

  Really panicking here. Updated my sys to 4.7.0.75 software, and now my keyboard in landscape mode has all the keys. The keyboard looks like a hybrid of the full qwerty and suretype keyboard view portrait, with two letters in a single touch. Some keys have letters on them.

  In addition, portrait view multitap keyboard has all the keys. There are exactly eight keys with letters attributed to them. Areas where there would normally be keys and letters are empty.  View portrait suretype keyboard works perfectly fine.

  I don't know how it happened. Someone at - he lived the same problem? Anyone got a fix?

• BlackBerry Smartphones has dropped the "BOLD" BB and I cannot get my cover to stay on... Help?

  I tried to get AT & T to help, but they say to go to Blackberry help. UGH.  I dropped the "BOLD" of BB and nothing on my cover is cracked or the phone but the play button just won't hold the lid in and I don't see why not.  I won't buy a new cover, if not the cover.  Does anyone have advice outside of the tape?

  cellwiz09 advice has worked to get coverage, but after seeing a colleague with the same phone, I put on its cover and it worked.  So I went on Ebay for a new cover, and we're back in business.  Looks like it was the coverage and not in the spring after all.

  Your mobile carrier may not have released version 7.1, but you can install another version of suppliers without problem.

  Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

  2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
  3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  Hi and welcome to the forums. I'm not sure that I fully understand what you are looking for in what concerns your BB to lock. If you tried to set a password, and it was not what you liked? You can quickly lock your device in now the * key. If you have a password enabled, you can type on it to unlock everything. If you have a case with a magnet nearby, you can set your device to lock onto Holster. A password is needed to unlock after waking from sleep. Your device is paused when the case or when you press mute. I hope that helped. I would like to know if I was far away or if you have any other questions.

  Sorry to point which is obvious, but since line 8 contains the words "provided by your mobile phone provider", I think that the question should be addressed to them... you should contact them, tell them what you do and get them to provide the necessary credentials.

  I swear to you that since I did the update, the other day, my trackpad seems to be more sensitive than it used to be.  Anyone know if the sensitivity settings were changed during the update?  Thank you.

  I reduced the trackpad horizontal and vertical sensitivity at 50 and it works well.

  I just bought a blackberry tour and tried to connect it to the entry in my car with a cable to 3.5 mm, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to work and continues to play music on the speaker phone. Then I buy another cable from the 3.5 mm (different brand) and it works only when you move around. Any Suggestions as to why this is happening or what type of cable or adapter I need to buy to make this work? Any help is greatly appreciated.
