  up to a few days a go, I was able to surf the web and send/receive surveys bbm so I was on the phone, I contacted blackberry and they said to contact my service provider, so I did it and then we me contact blackberry once again, so I don't have all the answers. There is nothing wrong with my phone while I'm not in a call, but it's a nice feature to receive surveys bbm so I was in a call, I reset my whole phone and I'm still not having any luck can someone help me please?

  3G or WiFi is the only service on this device which will allow the data at the same time as a phone call.  There's no other way.

  The notice says you have an application that you previously downloaded or purchased in App World > My World, which is ready for an upgrade on your device. Look there for the upgrade.

  To clear the notification on the screen, find the alert message in your main folder, read or delete it.

• BlackBerry Smartphones looking for help, please: my "Downloads" (Torch 9810) whole deleted Panel

  I was trying to move an icon on my control panel downloads for my media folder, and I pointed out and pressed the menu button, when all of the panel suddenly erased. I don't know what I did, nor what I can or should do about it. Any help would be appreciated.

  Thank you, Xan, but the problem has been resolved - the hard way. You can see on my other thread of crisis, I have linked to the BB desktop software and I saw an update available for my OS, I clicked on apply and as this was happening, my connection failed. I kept getting the message that it wouldn't reconnect (aaaaaaarrrggghh!), and my camera ended with the message "error 561, reload software.» I posted a notice 'aid' here, but then the clouds parted and a miracle happened. I tried to reconnect, and the software reloaded. Hallelujah! I restored the backup I ran on the desktop software 3 days earlier, so I reinstalled my applications to my world and my Iconify links. so my download Panel is filled again. I would like, there was an easier way to solve this, but, oh, who cares? I got my BB!

  good so im a new user for the blackberry storm and I searched through the service book... I know that some things are important from the looks of what I have on the list.  but I'm curious to know if I delete anything I don't use or want on my phone, like the tones of the ASBL, a looser radio, Flickr, AIM, YHO, GT, WLM, Blackberry maps, etc... all the things that I do not have any affiliation,... could adversely affect my phone if I delete those out... or not?

  If you delete these unnecessary service books, they will just get pushed to your device.

  Do not worry them, they take up very little space.

  3 applications appear randomly in my Bold 9700 download folder, haven't downloaded or modified permissions for what it is. No option to remove them, they are marked 100% games, sync music bubble bash 2.0 and virgin media. Have tried to change the records to be deleted, but no luck! I know that bb is virtually virus free, someone else has had this problem or have any ideas please?

  Please check here:

  • Home screen > Options > (Advanced Options in certain levels of OS) > Applications

  If the app in question is not on this list, it is not installed. On the contrary, the icon is a shortcut for "teaser" pushed to you from your wireless service provider. You can't really get rid of those. On the contrary, what I do is to create a homescreen folder called "Alternative icons" (some call it "Junk") and to settle all these icons. In this way, they are out of the way. On the other hand, if the application in question is on this list, then click on the X button and delete the app.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Recieving duplicate emails, please help!

  I thought I found how to solve this problem, but I do not think!

  I had a BlackBerry "BOLD" (never locked) as a gift during a stay in the UNITED Arab Emirates. I recorded for their services and set up my email by phone account (prohibits the company, its never locked).

  I came back to the Canada and subscribed to the services of BB with my ISP (Rogers). I had deleted the email from my phone and added it but now I seem to get duplicates of all my messages from my Gmail account!

  Based on what I've read online, apparently my PIN needs to be released or something, but how to fix this? I hate having to receive 2 emails all the time, it's boring.

  Help, please. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

  EDIT: I would like to add that even when I delete my email through setting up account, I still receive emails on my Blackberry (and a single email). It seems that it is interconnected with my blackberry. How can I get rid of this?

  I bought a used 7280 on eBay.  I have all the accessories and the data plan from my supplier of wireless.  I can access internet on it, but I want to register my address e-mail and IM on it.  For some reason, it isn't recognizing anything.  I get error messages when I try to download, & Office Manager said that my account is not configured correctly.

  I entered addresses POP3 and SMTP provided by Yahoo for me, and it still does not.

• Smartphones blackBerry e-mail irritation - help please

  Each time my Inbox to work on updates of Outlook (and this includes save the messages in the Inbox before sending) a copy is sent to my phone inbox. This means that whenever I open my Inbox uotlook on my desk or make a break while composoing email, another copy of the e-mail message is sent to my phone. I have so many copies (some of them incomplete compositions) on my phone. How can I stop this?

  BES is BlackBerry Enterprise Service. This is the link between your corporate e-mail system (for example, Exchange) and the corporate BlackBerry SmartPhones. Any use of the "Drafts" folder only under BES exist between the BB and the mail server.

  If you are not in a BES environment (in addition to the possibility of the company, there are also some services 3rd part providing messaging services BES-tied), then something might happen.

  There are two of us at work using a 8830WE of Blackberry on the network of Telus Mobility with Shaw Cable as our ISP. We use Desktop Manager 4.6 and our device OS 4.2.2.176.

  We are the '' ONLY '' BB users in the office and the question that we are expereincing affects only the two of us, so I assume that it is something to do with our BB, or maybe the service BIS (we have no MS Exchange or BES).

  Most of the time we use MS Outlook to send the e-mail from our PC instead of using the small keyboard of BB. It said that the below occurs regardless of what device we use for email.

  When we generate and send a new e-mail the recipients planned get, however, if they do, that we do not receive their response.

  And is the same in the other direction... when someone send us a new email, we receive, but when they do not receive our response, we answer.

  I deleted service CMIME book, waited, then cancelled - it does not work.

  I have not changed any MS Outlook, BIS or device settings - at least I don't remember changing anything whatsoever.

  Help, please. This has happened for two to three weeks. We missed several important answers.

  I would like to connect to your BIS site delete and recreate email accounts.

  Then select send service directories. You will get the email of activation for all e-mail accounts.

  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected, thanks

• BlackBerry smartphones I need help: Eception Exception java.lang.nullpointerexception

  I don't know how to make a post but I have a really big problem and I feel absolutely stupid for this wonderful gadget.

  Buy a Blackberry Storm from a friend and I was using the phone since. I have three problems so far :

  1. the phone times out when I select certain characteristics does not lock for example when I try to lock the phone, clock rises and still the phone or when I try to open a menu like the media clock appears, then disappears and does not open the media folder

  2 there is a delay when I turn the phone horizontally / vertically. The menu takes time to adapt to the way I look at the phone. You know that thing of screen filp.

  3 each time I have select the Blackberry icon or even the browser I get this error message:

  java.lang.NullPointerException

  Help please anyone?

  To recover the App World (if you decide you want to), you can simply download it.  Once you have the browser on your phone running, you can open the browser and go to the homepage of the BlackBerry (it is a bookmarks) and download from there.  Alternatively, you can find more information on how to install App World here:

  As a heads up, App World is great for convenience, but do not (didn't work on my phone).  So even if you are not able to download and use App World, it's not a big deal.

  About BlackBerry Desktop Manager, try to go to this link: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/

  It is available as a free download (click on the download button, and then on the next page, select BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0 menu drop-down) and you can choose to install it with or without the Media Manager.  If you want a simpler version, download the version without the media manager.

  I'll try to keep an eye on this thread over the weekend, then post here if you have problems.  Otherwise, I look forward to your confirmation that everything was fine.

  It comes from occurring as you face constraints of memory in your device. The low memory manager (LMM) is activated automatically when the flash available on the BlackBerry smartphone memory decreases less than 400 KB. Flash memory is used to store such as Messages, calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notepad BlackBerry smartphone applications and third-party applications.

  Perform the following steps-

  1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
  2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
  3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
  4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

  First off, I want to say thanks to anyone who takes the time to even post a reply. I'm new to blackberry, well I've had my blackberry for a little over a month now. The problem is that when I open google to search for something sometimes my results are like black or like this->______with a few pieces of the resuklts appear. Even when I click on a results page will appear with some information but then half blacnk. This is the second time that this has happened the first time it happened wasacouple weeks and it was fixed once I turnedit off then turn it back on. Ive fact that now, but there is still no positive result. Please help me!
