BlackBerry smartphones HELP! In Pakistan and my BB to useless world edition

Currently in Pakistan with a useless Edition BB world.  Number of Verizon global support 00-800-120-01 will not connect.  Am unable to change the network selection (manage connections) from automatic to manual in order to search for a network.  Global card SIM is installed.  See network (MOBILINK).  Can't scream and the * beep * browser doesn't connect either.  Co-workers unit works fine and the connection.  I note that its system is reading GPRS and mine is GSM. Any help would be greatly appreciated... quickly!

    the images recovered, videos and even the music!

    I had the same problem since I first storm last November. After many calls to Verizon and visits to several Verizon stores, I finally understood that I had to fix it myself. I created a sound custom profile with all the parameters that I would have expected the 'Vibrate' profile would have provided with the phone. When I use my custom profile, custom ringtones vibrate just like any other ringtone. If you need help setting up the profile, please reply to this message.

This is my first bb and im new on this, I don't know what is happening, I tried to download something for my bb 8330 for the Desktop Manager and it asks me the password and I entered the wrong password and now my screen went all white and it says JUM ERROR 513 and under him It says RESET.     Check the steps below for OS - upgrade

    Users can perform a full or selective data backup by using the tool of backup and restore in BlackBerry Desktop Manager using the following steps:

    1. Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer that is running BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    3. Double-click on the backup and restore.
    4. Select backup to perform a full backup or select Advanced to make a backup of specific databases.
    5. Choose a location to save the backup file, and then click Save.

    Step #4

    To perform a clean installation of the BlackBerry Device Software, do the following:

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    2. Double-click The Application Loader icon.
    3. Click Next to start the installation process.
    4. Type your BlackBerry smartphone password, if prompted, and then click OK.
    5. Click on the checkboxes corresponding to the names of the applications you want to load, and then click Next.
    6. Click Advancedand then click the check box next to delete all already installed applications.
    7. Click on Next.
    8. Click the check box next to do not automatically back up the application during the process of loading data.
    9. Clear the check box next to the backup and restore applications installed wireless.
    10. Click Next > Finish.
    11. Once the process is complete, the load succeeded message. Click close to return to BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

    To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

    Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

    Try it and tell us how it goes.

    I am new to this. I'm trying to help my son and his wife who are missionaries in Central Africa. I gave them a unlocked curve BB 8310 quad band phone to use. They can send and receive phone calls, but need to use the phone to receive reports and download on the pc and work up to the answer, then answer via mobile phone.

    We have e-net service using a local company and a sim card. Can someone give us a step by step on what is needed and how to get there. The e-net Café is 65 miles and he wouldn't know what to look for. Service local is230 kb/s it now uses a Motorola phone that has features of data and it will download to a computer with xp. However, this missionary person will leave very soon and you need this problem is resolved. Can anyone help?

    I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

    I forgot my password id bb and the issue of their safety. My id from bb using my yahoo account. I read all the forum and they said should create a new ID OK I'll do it.

    How to save all contacts? I have contact 1100 on my device. Which is 900 save via yahoo 200 contact or save through gmail. I looked on my yahoo contact only 300 contact was sync with my yahoo mail. I have try the backup via Desktop Manager, but only 200 contact that sync with my gmail had arrived at my computer and has no contact to yahoo. What should I do?

    For backup of your contacts from your Yahoo account, you will need to disable wireless synchronization.

    Go to contacts > Tap on the BlackBerry key menu > options > look for the e-mail account > tap on it, you will see the wireless sync if it is on you will see a control on the right uncheck it > click on the BlackBerry Menu button to memorize.

    Then try to fill, save, & include backup - capacity storage media, before to set up your unit to the factory to add your new BlackBerry ID, wen you create your new BBID with a different e-mail account, you will need to go this account email & confirmed your email with the password of the BBID this wen so that you try to reset in the future he won't ask answer you the question of safety.

    I'm relatively new to the whole community of smartphone, and I fear I actually broke my Blackberry!

    I noticed that e softwareupdated was available for my Blackberry, so I chose to download it. The problem is my phone kept freezing in the process, and I was getting a little impatient. Finally, my phone told me that there was not enough memory, so I should delete some applications to make room. So I selected a few to remove, and my phone froze AGAIN. Now, if at all, it has frozen or not, I'm not sure... Maybe I'm too impatient for the life of a smartphone.

    In any case, I decided to take out the battery to reset the phone, I have grown really tired and has to work in the morning, I so wanted to just turn my phone and turn it on again, put my wake up and go to sleep. As I just re - turn the phone on, it starts to load up as it usually does, then a screen appears:

    "Blackberry 5.0.0.496 platform.

    Then it lists a whole bunch of items in the phone, in alphabetical order, the first being "Addressbook."

    Then, in seconds, the screen goes all white and a small message will appear "Error App 606" and it gives me the only option of resetting my phone. I click on reset, and it's a cycle... The phone seems to be loading as it normally would, and then he'll come back to this screen of the Blackberry platform, then the App error 606.

    I ring my network provider in the morning to see if they can help me, but I was wondering if anyone of you here would know about this at all? I feel so stupid for the cause!

    If your device is not detected so you had to force the detection of your device by using the Application Loader. But remember in this process you will lose all data on your device, I hope you have your backup device, follow this Knowledge Base to recover your device:

    Hey, I downloaded the software and tried to install it but its been stuck on 6% to backup your data (social RSS) and I can't reboot my device as it keeps going back to the loading screen.     Try to start the machine in safe mode and see if you can cancel the update process.

    The only other way I know is do what you did, to connect to the computer... and during the connection, insert the battery and see if it recognizes the device.

    As your device does not detect that you can try the Application loader to force detection of your device to load the operating system, please see the Knowledge Base Article:

    But remember, in this process, you will lose all data in your device, I hope you have your backup.

    Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Unless you're on BB OS 6, do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.
