    Hello

    I have a Satellite A100-062.

I've never been able to get a USB mouse to work with her.
The OS is Vista Home Premium, whenever I have plug in a USB mouse, the operating system detects a device has been connected to the USB port, but eventually the message material has not installed successfully.

So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to mice only, I've successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
I tried several USB mouse with the machine exclude a problem with my original mouse.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Thank you

    > So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to the mouse only, I have successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
Looks like a problem with the USB mouse and not with the laptop or with USB ports
I would recommend testing different mouse and using the other.

    Hello Jayne

It will be really interesting to know where you're trying to connect the USB mouse. Can you send description of mouse models please?

As I know it is not necessary to install a driver for external USB mouse and mouse is usually recognized automatically. Please check if a driver installation is needed, and even request delivered must be preinstalled.

  • Logitech USB mouse does not work after the upgrade to Windows 7

I have a HP Pavilion DV6XXX laptop computer series (MS Vista Home Premium has been loaded from the factory), recently updated with Windows 7 Home Premium.  It is then this problem began.

Wherever I am, everything I do (typing, surfing, reading) my cursor made a break of about 3 seconds, 26-28 seconds.  This interruption is making me crazy!  Everything what I'm typing, the cursor becomes unavailable for 3 seconds.  Everything I typed is gone.

My laptop has a touchpad, but I use a Logitech USB mouse.  I can't disable my touchpad, but that does not change.  In addition, it is matter if I type or not: my cursor disappears for 3 seconds, 26-28 seconds.  I can sit and watch it.  I have disabled the touchpad, unplugged the USB mouse, find the updated HP drivers and Synaptics to nothing does not.

    Looking for other suggestions.

  • External USB mouse does not work in the context of Satellite L

Hello, my name is John Cooley, and I have a problem that your FAQ do not have a category.

Because I've had this laptop as a gift in October 2011, I was using a mouse that was provided by the company, by that I was hired and in no time I had no problem with the mouse.
I'm no longer with this company and have not been for the past ten weeks, but it's not my problem.

My problem is that for some reason any after working properly for about two minutes, I get an error message indicating that the USB hubs on the right side of my laptop will not recognize the mouse which is very annoying, because I am also using a dongle for access to the internet using these same hubs (which by the way (, never having this problem) because it works in all USB hubs without problem, what I can do.

My question is not why this is happening but what should I do so that I can use the mouse.

Please don't suggest I have stop using the mouse and rely solely on the touchpad.
Unfortunately for me I find using the key exercise lose more time because I don't have three hands and that's what you have to do everything done a mouse.

    With respect,

    John Cooley

    Hello John

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. Before you begin to discuss your problem, please, let us know what model phone you have and what operating system is preinstalled.

Have USB ports for laptop on the left side?
    Have you tested?

I also want to know is: do you have this problem USB I have general or simply using this external mouse? I mean, have you tested with some USB memory stick or GSM connection by USB cable, not only the dongle to access internet?

  • Portege R700-1CQ - ECO Utility and buttons mouse pad not working not

Suddenly the ecoUtility buttons and activate/deactivate mouspad has stopped working?

The ecoUtility works if started manually through programs but is not starts when you press the ecoUtility button...

The mouspad is not disabled if you press the button...

I already deleted and reinstalled the ecoUtility and value added package - no results?

It runs under Windows 7-64 bit...

    The help is apreciated...

    Concerning

    Hello

Hmm. you are able to activate the Eco utility manually, but it does not start automatically when you press the button.
This means that there must be a problem with some command buttons that run the applications.
Usually the PPV control multimedia keys and so the new facility should fix this.

    I think you should try this;
    Firstly uninstall the VAP system.
Then, clean the windows operating system using the free tools like CCleaner for example.
This tool cleans garbage temporal files and the registry.
I think that some damaged registry entries can cause this
Restart the computer and then install 64-bit VAP.

    Good luck

  • Usb keyboard/mouse do not work on h8-1214

I was upgrading the graphics cards on my h8-1214 and I uninstalled the AMD catalyst control center and restarted the pc. at the start, I noticed that the keyboard and mouse do not work. I looked around on the internet with my laptop computer and learned that AMD drivers have a bug that causes the uninstall process to remove usb and all display drivers drivers. any way to fix this or I do a full system restore? When I bought the pc, it came not with a system restore disk.

USB drivers should auto install if they have been removed, but just in case, here are the normal USB driver .  Here are the drivers USB 3.0

Just for reference, there are restore discs but you had to go, or you can order from HP.

  • Windows 7 - USB keyboard and mouse do not work once Windows starts

    The following happens occasionally:

The keyboard works perfectly in the BIOS, the post OFFICE and when the Windows 7/64 Ultimate starts (I can tell the [Numlock] led shines). But when you see the Windows login screen, both, USB keyboard, USB mouse and stop working.

I can say this from the [Numlock] LEDS go off and, mouse and keyboard, does not.

There is no discernible specific deadline. Even wait minutes does not get the mouse or the keyboard back from work. In this case, the only way to get both mouse and keyboard, back from work is to reset the machine.

I noticed this strange behavior with several keyboards, mice and different motherboards. So, it doesn't seem to be a problem related to a particular device.

Independent since I also noticed the following:

    • I am currently using a card mother GIGABYTE Z68XP-UD3-iSSD. If I activate XDR (caching system with the small SSD disk) then Windows 7 starts up very quickly but keyboard and mouse get disabled for about 5 seconds when the login screen appears.
      .
    • During the installation of Windows, the keyboard rarely has not activate during the POST at all.

I noticed that several people share the same problem. Is this an inherent problem USB HID? Or is there a bug in Windows that should be fixed?

    Hello

This might be a question of power, where Windows is shutting off the power to your USB ports. Try this:

    Open the Device Manager
Click on the tree "Universal Serial Bus".
For each "USB root hub" do the following-
    Right-click on 'USB hub root'
    Select Properties
    Click the power management tab
Make sure that the box "Allow the computer to turn this device to save power" is NOT checked.

Try restarting now. If all goes well, that will take care of the issue.

  • How to join start in safe mode when the mouse does not work?

(I'm on another computer to ask this question). I'm in safe mode; mouse does not work; arrow keys work but don't go to 'start '. How to get started?

Assuming you have the office showing with all applications minimized or closed, Tab or F6 should pass the Start button and a few other "elements" on the taskbar.  Look closely and you will see a light preview highlighting of the selected item.  Press the Enter key to activate it.

In XP Safe Mode, the cycle is start button > Quick Launch toolbar > [of any application taskbar icon] > clock > desktop icons.  While the Quick Launch toolbar is highlighted, the arrows move among the icons in the QL toolbar.  While the desktop icon is highlighted, the arrow keys will be touring all the desktop icons.

and even when I went to download a software to reinforce the msg me: "We have couldn't retrieve the list of drivers for your product." Help out me

    dhruvil28

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Sorry, but if your talk to get the mouse drivers from HP, what's not at work, such as HP does not include drivers for the hardware not HP.

Have you tried to download the drivers from the manufacturer of the mouse?

You must go to the settings, update & Security-> Windows Update.

Then, choose Advanced-> history to see when the updates have been applied last. If you see one that include device drivers, who might be the problem. So, if you can, you should see if you can restore the drivers that are causing the problem. Do so you by going into Device Manager, see if the device is still listed and so, trying to restore the last driver update.

And if this resolves the problem, then disable future driver updates by using the information in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

If the appropriate device adapter is no longer present in the Device Manager, what MIGHT work is something known as a repair installation. It is less destructive of all Windows recovery features and rewrites the Windows system files, leaving your apps, settings and data intact.

To do this, you will need to use the link to the installation media to download Win10 and burn a DVD or create a USB key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10

Once you have, follow the instructions in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html

    Good luck

  • Satellite L300 - Vista - Touchpad and USB mouse does not.

    Hello

Well well after hours of trying allsorts, I post here...

Been given the laptop for repair as the touchpad no longer. No problem "I thought", simply plug a mouse usb to help me get around and re - install the touchpad... what a joke.

On the right, the USB mouse is recognized as a hid device and work, according to the Manager of devices, but not when you move it... nothing...
The Touchpad is listed as a Synaptics ps/2 touchpad and signals a Code 10 in section mouse device as well as listed as a hid and fully functional usb mouse Manager.

    Right... I have...
Listed all devices, even the hidden nonpresent (devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices) and removed everything only account of any mouse, keyboards, etc...
uninstalled the software synaptics via the program Panel.
Restarted the laptop, and it starts with the touchpad is ranked again code 10 with the version of windows drivers.
Drivers up to date using two different files of Toshiba for the touchpad, still Code 10
Still, the USB mouse does not either.

Someone enlighten me please on a fix for this...

    Hello

Really strange what s my friend because normally a touchpad driver update should solve the problem.

In any case, have you ever tried to use the Toshiba Recovery disk? Maybe it s just a software problem and a few important Windows files are destroyed or don t work properly. Reinstall Windows using the recovery disk Toshiba takes only a few minutes and there are already all the drivers and tools integrated. With these parameters (factory settings), the touchpad should work properly, and if not the touchpad or the motherboard needs to be replaced maybe.

    Good bye

  • Satellite R15-829: keyboard & mouse will not work on advanced port replicator 3

    Hello

    I have the following problem:
I have a portable Satellite R15 829 Tablet. I went and bought a Toshiba Advanced port replicator (PA3474U-1PRP) 3 second hand. When I plug in a keyboard and a mouse for it, they won't work. However, when I have the laptop dock and power, of the function on the external keyboard blink.

I had a load of a keyboard and a USB mouse, and they work, so it would be a kind of compatiability issue?

So I know that there are be able to enter them. Could be a driver problem type? Or something else? If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This device is not known to me but please check if Toshiba Mobile Extensions 3 installed on your laptop. See also the version
Check if the latest version of the BIOS is also installed on your laptop.
If this isn't the case, then try updating the BIOS.
