  I was wondering if someone could help I have tried everything to fix the error 552 on my curve 8520 but nothing works, and now the phone will not connect to my laptop, I tried apploader now it says device current is updated, office says unable to connect to the device (from the outset) software and the phone does nothing except sitting on a white screen with "software reloading 552" written on it.

  As your device does not detect that you can try the Application loader to force detection of your device to load the operating system, please see the Knowledge Base Article:

  My Curve 8520 not long ago and fear I'm kinda a dinosaur techno so please bear with me! Wonder if anyone can help with this.

  While browsing the internet my "slider" has suddenly stopped working. My "cursor" - the small black arrow - is still there but when hover over an area of research for example and "click on" my trackball that nothing happens, even if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball that nothing happens. I discovered I can press return when the hand appears and it goes on the link, but this is unnecessary when only the arrow appears.

  Its the kind of thing that could possibly be fixed by a battery pull.

  With the BB powered, remove the battery and keep it for a few minutes. Let us know how you go.

  I need your help. I've seen some similar topics posted but no exactly the same as mine so I would really appreciate if someone can help me.

  I have a major problem on the Blackberry Bold 9900.

  A few days ago, I updated my Blackberry Messenger (BBM only) to BBM7. Everything worked well.

  Then last night I got a message on my phone to update my OS 7 operating system that I installed it.
  Then this morning I noticed that my BBM has disappeared from my phone and I can't.

  I currently have 7.1.0 Bundle 2061

  (Also note that BB App world does not give me the option to download BBM and trying to download other applications also freezes the app world)

  I've already tried

  (1) hard reset / battery pull

  and

  (2) do a search universal and looking for hidden icons.

  I saw a few other similar topics, but I wanted to ask you what to do...:

  (1) re - install BBM7 leave a link of this forum? or

  (2) downgrade OS7 to OS 6 via Options - software updates - Downgrade?

  Or other options?

  The KEY is that I do not lose my BBM contacts! It is the ultimate goal of all that is recommended. I really hope that someone can help you.

  If you use BBM 7 before you upgrade your software, then contacts have already been synchronized to your BB ID.

  If you use a different version of BBM before you upgrade, there is a chance of losing you your contacts, otherwise no

  If the world of the app freezes during installation of your applications, reinstall the world app and then download BBM 7 again. As it boots up, it will ask your BB ID and password and your contacts will be restored.

  BBM 7 is not yet installed, you can install also leave a link to this site.

  Or you can also install by downloading from the app on the computer world and install using Blackberry Desktop Manager.

  I deleted an e-mail account, but the folder still appears on my home screen.  It doesn't let me delete it.  The e-mail account is no longer shows on the screen for managing Email accounts, so it should be deleted from my phone.  I tried to remove the battery, but it did not help.

  After having a bad start to my 1st 8310 I flipped to receive another ebay replacement (2nd hand) logo is O2, but it says that it has been unlocked to all networks by 3, I have a vodafone contract sim card - put it in I tried to download blackberry app as it was not preloaded, I went on the site sent me an e-mail link , which didn't work so I went out and bought a USB - downloaded Office softwafe to try to download it this way, I just get a message saying myphone does not - but my last 8310 has! can ayone help me?

  You need to update the operating system on your device.  Follow the instructions (exactly) in the first post of this thread to update your operating system later for the 8310.  This should solve your problem.

  Hiya since I up graded world 6 blackberry app on my phone version, most of the time it doesn't allow me to him at all and when I get manage to get it does not work properly, I have major problems telling me unable to act etc, the old version was much better than this one and I lost all my downloaded items once installed Why is this.   You have a few things in there, but I'll start with this. These forums are not a formal support of the RIM channel. They are rather a user forum where volunteers try to troubleshoot other kind souls at best. Therefore, what you get here is in no way part of your official support (which you can get from your wireless service provider that can degenerate officially your case in RIM if necessary).

  Accurate and complete error messages are always better... There are some things to look for, but no research is effective without the specific error message, including any punctuation.

  When you installed the new AppWorld, have you lost all your downloaded 'items'? What, exactly, do you mean by "objects"? How, exactly, do you know they're gone? What, exactly do you have installed? (see there no such thing as AW v6).

• BlackBerry 8220 Blackberry Smartphones help please!

  I have a new Blackberry 8220 its open from TMobile and it just turns off by itself.

  There the BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.0.278 (Indosat) and before I installed it I deleted the file 'net_rim_tmo_five.cod '. (This is the one I have now, already tried like 4 or 5)

  The thing is that, with NO SIM it never restarts, and with the SIM card IT will just crazy.

  I tested for more than 5 hours now with no sim card and its balance, with SIM in there just turns off very randomly.

  When it stops, no matter what, I have to remove the battery and put it back again, the Red led lights (Just comes on, not flashing), it starts to boot and then when comes to the white screen, it shuts down again unless I connect it to the charger. Sometimes it starts normally, but then again it stops when you use the phone.

  I read a lot already about this and tried a lot of things, I don't really know if it's a defective battery or if its hardware. May not be the operating system, many tried and wiped out everything after 3 or 4 guides.

  Can someone help me out here?

  EDIT: I forgot to mention that, sometimes, not always, it stops even pluged in charger.

  If you have tried with all operating systems, it is pretty obvious that it isn't a problem with OS. My guess is that there is a problem of radio which is the cause. It is probably a hardware problem and probably not much you can do about it.
